Me and my boyfriend had the steak experience here and it was lovely. The guy who served us (i assume a manger ?) was delightful and very attentive. One of the other servers seemed inexperienced but eager to help where he could and everything from drinks to mains came out efficiently and with a smile. Very knowledgeable staff and lovely atmosphere. Would come again :)

We came in to your restaurant on Tuesday 20th with our twin Grandchildren. Coming to Tamborinos has always been their absolute favourite thing to do. They choose it every year on the birthday and we have always has such a great evening! The Italian lady that worked there for years and the younger man always made them feel so welcome (and us) We bring them in the summer holidays too and they were so excited about coming. I can’t tell you how disappointed we were. I was shocked that you didn’t make any effort to welcome them, you didn’t actually make any contact with them or us apart from asking what we were having. Our granddaughters children’s Carbonara came out with penne instead of pasta but when you corrected it and bought it back after 10 minutes you just chucked it in front of her and said nothing at all. My husband’s pizza came out when the rest of us had almost finished our meals. There was no apology for the delay either! We are locals and have been to your restaurant dozens of times and always had such a lovely experience but this was certainly not at all like the other times. I appreciate that you’re all so busy but we are used to your staff being so kind and friendly and welcoming. The young staff you have now clearly don’t have the experience yet in customer relations but they were certainly more friendly than you were. The fact that it was the manager who dealt mostly with us made it even worse. You didn’t smile once. I thought I should tell you as it was such a shock to us, especially regarding the little ones. The fact that my husband had to eat after us wasn’t acceptable either. There wasn’t even an apology for this!

Possibly the best Italian meal I’ve ever eaten. Hospitality was excellent too. Nothing was too much trouble. I have a dairy allergy and they quite easily accommodated me.

We decided to try Tamburino when on a visit to Clarke's Village. It was a good decision. Service was very friendly and there was a great atmosphere. Our pizzas were excellent and the pud, which we opted to share, was also lovely. If/when we are in Street again then we'll certainly make a beeline for this restaurant.

Lovely food, great atmosphere. More authentic italian feel than big chains. Mosy servers are invested in spending time with you and making sure you are happy.

The food at the restaurant is amazing and they have the loveliest staff that make you feel great at at home. I totally recommend this restaurant to anyone passing through Somerset!

My family and I had lunch here today and thought the food was excellent, certainly better than the run of the mill restaurants you find in Clark's village. The only complaint is that the food is so filling, we couldn't sample the desserts because we were so full. Very enjoyable and highly recommended.

Nailed all the clichés of a dated Italian restaurant, From decor to parmesan at the table and even a chair leg pepper grinder,pasta well overpriced and not even fresh pasta, imagine paying nearly £20 for pasta with tomato sauce and monkfish in it and a which it wasn't btw, and a watery pizza full of toppings ? Remember less is more on a pizza, oh and a sneaky 10% service charge added which I didn't pay,if I choose to tip i will,,,,,I could go on but I'm boring myself writing this,and yes I am a train chef who specialises in fresh pasta and pizzas, Avoid people

Amazing service and fantastic food! The service in street Tamburinos is something you don’t see much of these days. Beyond welcoming from the moment you walk in the door they make you feel at home. The food is genuinely authentic Italian tasting homemade food. If you are ever by a tamburinos you must go in and meet the team and try the fantastic food!!

We haven’t been for sometime because the prices slowly crept up (strange how ingredients aren’t expensive but most Italian restaurants seem to think there’s a premium). The pizzas re very good though and would recommend them for those alone.

I love this restaurant and go here fairly often, so it pains me to write a bad review. We arrived on time to be told that the entire place had been double booked. We waited a while before we were seated. The staff here are lovely, but they were completely rushed off their feet. For some reason, no one thought to add extra staff to cover the Christmas demand. The manager seemed to be running around like a headless chicken, at one point insisting that the poor waiter deliver our dessert course...before we'd had the mains! There were long waits... sitting in music so loud you might as well have been in the middle of a rock concert. Music was blaring on arrival; there was no turning it down, no possibility of any conversation. This was followed by a duo, one on guitar and one singing. This was fun for about half an hour, after which time most people take a break, especially in restaurants. Nope. It got louder and louder and went on and on and on and on..... The music ruined the entire evening - we constantly shouted at each other and the servers across the table; we could not hear ourselves think. When we spoke to the manager, we were told that it 'was a music venue now'. I don't know if this is true, I hope not because if it is he has just ruined the best local Italian eatery. Food-wise - the normal menu is way better in taste and value than the Xmas one, so if you are going in December, choose a la carte In summary - sort your booking system and get rid of whoever thinks that people want to eat their dinner in a loudspeaker.

I have been to this restaurant several times before and have always very much enjoyed it. This was the reason I returned with friends to catch up and get into the festive spirit. We wanted the Xmas menu which sounded lovely, if a little expensive. We were asked to preorder and pay a deposit of £10 per person. Not an issue. We arrived abd it was busy, it was a Saturday night after all, but as we walked in we were hit by a wall of noise, The Gypsy Kings, full volume and a packed restaurant of people shouting at each other to make themselves heard over the music. We had to wait for our table, no issue there, but was later told that the manager had double booked our table (abd others) . When we were finally seated we could barely hear each other over the noise. We came out to celebrate the season, catch up and chat. After quite a wait the pre ordered starter came out which was nice enough. And then the duo fired up the guitar and music... the entertainment began. Only it wasn't entertaining... it was LOUD! Even louder then the Gypsy Kings! We tried to get into the spirit of things... if you can't beat em join them kinda thing. But after about ab hour of the relentles noise my head was banging, we couldn't talk to each other and we were beginning to get fed up. We waited quite a while for the next course... and then staff bought out dessert! We hadn't had our mains yet! Another long wait listening to the duo which must have been at least one of Dantes level of hell, and out came the mains. Dissapoinment ensued. Mine was a couple bits of fish, potato's and a few cherry tomatoes. The others weren't any better... dry pasta, chicken and potatoes, no veg. The tortuesly loud singing continued, the headache worsened. Then the bill... they hadn't taken the deposit off, they chagedctwi of us for 3 courses when we only had two. It took half an hour to sort it out, with one of our party working it all out whilst trying to think over the catawalling. We did tell the manager what we thought and he apologised... but he still had nearly £300 of our money and all we had was a disappointing night and headaches all round. I feel the whole night was badly managed and overbooked ... a real shame as I've had good experiences here in the past but probably won't return.

Best Italian in the area. Giovanni was fantastic and gave us the best Sicilian service. The food is excellent here every time too.

Booked a table a few weeks ago for the music night. Confirmed the booking over the phone on 3rd December. We had a slight change to our booking so rang to confirm only to be told that they had no record of our booking. Very rude and not helpful. We have frequently visited for years and the staff have always been helpful. Not this time. Some one needs to sort out the booking system. Good luck to anyone else turning up tonight.
