Fantastic food. Authentic kebabs. The gyros was delicious. One not to be missed when in Bath. Quick and friendly service.

I suggest putting more meat and less chips in the wrap , there were literally 3 chicken pieces It used to be better than this

I have had kebabs from here in the past and they have been excellent. But today I was served a disgusting greasy mix of extremely unappetising meat and salad. After two mouthfuls, the rest went in the bin. Very disappointing.

Tzatziki tastes nothing like it. And the food overall has no taste. I’m not one to really bother with reviews but I had to write one for this as i was very disappointed

Overrated imo had a wrap which consisted mainly of salad chips and sauce hardly any meat imo for £10 was a complete rip off

Me and my friend had take way souvlaki last night, and both got poisoned by food. I ate around 24:00, and by 2 am I ended up stomach ace, and vomiting all night. This morning I had diarrhoea as well all day long. I will never ate at this place again, and I will definitely recommend everybody’s to be careful.

We have been here each time we visit Bath and loved the food. This time it was barely average and double the price. I got a basic gyros which is now £7.50 which had barely any filling and what was in it was ok. My husband got a tray with mixed meats, pitta, salad etc. It cost about £14! but there wasn’t much in it compared to when we were last here in 2020 and the quality was not there. It used to be our go to on our way home on holiday but never again. Felt ripped off with quality/quantity and price.

Used to be a great place to grab a quick and relatively cheap gyros as the end of the night as you left a club. But as I went there the other day for a quick bite, they have almost doubled the price and I’m fairly certain they have gotten smaller. Maybe it’s because I wasn’t drunk but it wasn’t as good as it used to be.

Always poor sauce or tzatziki. One time is non existent the other time is flavourless or sauce flavoured like English sauce and not greek souvlaki sauce. Are we so few greeks in Bath and surrounding areas that we don’t deserve a good souvlaki? Very disappointed unfortunately

Not very often get flavourless greek esk food but did going here. The tzatziki in the wrap was non-existence alike the portion size. Most places over do it but not here. The halloumi fries were tastless and can get better ones at aldi. The only thing that was above average was the kids chicken nuggets. They were meaty and fresh.

Super tasty wraps at this place. Went for a vegetarian option which came with fresh veggies and chips. Definitely recommend :)

I went to this takeaway late on a Monday night as they were closing. The tv's displaying the menus were flickering, difficult to read and eventually just crashed. I ordered a pork wrap without chips. It was wrapped up and I got halfway home before realising it had chips in it. The pork in my opinion was just small cubes of fat. No pork meat. It was cold, I only waited 5 minutes before taking a bite and then decided to put it in the bin. The staff I thought weren't very happy to serve me. I won't be visiting again.

We were just walking around Bath, had seen a you tube on Taka Taka and stopped in for lunch. Great service ordered 2 chicken club wraps so good. So much food we wished we had ordered only one and split it. Good price

Very disappointing experience - the so called “Hallumi Greek salad” was mainly cabbage and pieces of dry pita bread - went directly to the bin !

Had a meal delivered on Saturday evening 7.30. . Mixed meze included gyros, mixed souvlaki we’re all dried out and tazicki was thick and glutinous. Greek Salad was ok but very salty. Maybe chose badly for a quick simple meal but won't be doing it...

After an evening out we stopped by for some food. Had the Beefy Vegetable wrap. This was actually vegetarian so bit unsure on the use of the name, however with falafel and halumi plus veg etc it was super yummy.

It definitely wasn’t chicken in my wrap that’s for sure .. not sure what it was but it was dark fatty ‘meat’. Loaded up with a tonne of tasteless tzatziki dip and half a tomato. Yuk. Two wraps & fries set me back £18 .....

The halloumi wrap was delicious, I ordered the regular size that came with salad and chips inside the wrap. Will definitely visit again in the future.

Friendly and very efficient staff. I highly recommend the Old York melt, the Halloumi Fries and the Chicken Gyros Pita. However everything we have tried has been of the highest quality.

There is plenty of choice of 'eateries' in central Bath. This is one of the better options, and close by the Broad Street Townhouse.

order food from taka very often and I usually ask for a lemon with it because obviously all Greek food especially the meat and kebabs are served with a lemon but they never put one in with my order unless I asked . The one time I ordered the food that arrived was disgusting as I’m Greek Cypriot I know what all the dishes were supposed to look and taste like but the food looked so disgusting I had to throw away all of it which was sad because I’d ordered multiple dishes . Since it’s the only Greek restaurant in bath if you’d call it Greek food I decided to try again I used Uber eats to order my meal and made a note that I’d like a lemon to be placed in the driver then told me that they’d told him they would give me the lemon this time but the next time they’d charge me for it ..... I could not believe how ridiculous and cheap they were being lemons are less then a pound for 5 at Lidil and it’s greek food your supposed to serve the lemon with the meal . I will not be ordering food from there ever again

My husband was dying to get a kebab while we were in Bath. In the search of his “must have” food before we left we came across Taka Taka ... they offer Gyros (more of a platter than what you would normally expect) and Souvlaki (which is what I imagine a Gyro to be). We were surprised that lamb wasn’t a protein option but we ordered the chicken. It was delicious—very flavorful. The service was fast and everything tasted fresh. Great quick bite for the road. Stop by if you’re around!

I visited taka taka recently. The food wasn’t bad but not good at the same time. The tzatziki,the pitta the meet was ok, but no near close to how it suppose to be, to call it proper Greek pita. This review comes from a Greek

I've eaten gyros all over Greece for over 30 years. I know that one shouldn't compare when eating a country's cuisine outside that country, but I was really struggling to get 3 stars here.

My first visit in bath,absolutely in love with this city.

Bad service. I've lived in Bath for over two years now. Thought this was the answer I'd been looking for. Benn there a few times before with lovely service and great food but since having a certain gentleman serve us, terrible food and rude, careless service. I persevered a couple of times as the people in there before are good but had awful service and terrible food again. After last visit I returned and politely tried to reason with him and tell him service had declined but met me very rude manners. Strongly discourage if you want nice food.

I always abstain from eating Greek food outside of Greece, for fear of ruining my favourite cuisine.

Just ordered a mixed meat gyros box with deliveroo. The food arrived cold, I then opened the box and received only 8 chips with an average portion of meat. I paid £9.50 for a bit of meat and chips!

The food here is up to a good standard. The souvlaki has always been great. It is as close to Greek food as you can get in the area. The prices are okay for Bath standards. Overall a great place to grab a bite from after a night out.

Have been going to TakaTaka for years now, always liked their food but recently every time I go I return home (a two minute drive away) to find my food completely cold. This has happened everytime for the last few months and as a result i will not be returning

Four of us found this near our apartment. Food was prepared fresh to order. I had the chicken gyro and it was very good. Reasonably priced and the young lady working behind the counter knew what she was doing. I recommend giving Taka Taka a try.

They make proper Greek souvlaki and gyros the way you can find it in Greece - quite rare in the UK I have to say. I was also impressed by the size of the portions. Well done!

Taka taka turned out a quite pleasant surprise. We are always in a hurry, especially during lunch breaks on weekends day. But the staff is so quick and the food is really delicious with such a big variety😍

So far the best gyros I had in Uk. Massive portions and decent prices. Pork and chicken both as good and halumi fries just wow! Just have to say put more cucumber for your tzatziki, will do the job. In the shop you can get Greek products too.

Came across this place randomly so went in. Food was great, full of flavours, was reasonably priced and service was lovely. Would recommend this place if someone wanted cheap and quick eats, very charming - would recommend 100%. Great for buying greek ingredients too!

They are anti-vegetarian. And do not treat tourists in a welcoming way. When people are confused about the process/how it works, it isn’t appropriate to berate them.

We came here for a late night snack and really enjoyed the food. The gyros was a hearty pitta stuffed with meat and salad and tzatziki and I enjoyed the pitta, feta and dips selection. It would be great if they had more places to sit.

Firstly, the quality is much better than any kebab shop or takeaway that I have ever been to. The taste and presentation is great and they make custom to your requests.

We left our new year party early to get a beloved taka taka, our tradition for a night out in bath as we have always done. On the busiest night of the year (NYE) we were very disappointed to find it was closed :( very upsetting as we had left the party early on purpose. Taka taka is the most amazing food ever, it is delicious and the top place ever for a night out snack. We will be back, hopefully you will be open!

Was looking to book a table somewhere and on the way back to hotel past this takeaway. Said we would try it night after instead of booking a table. We turned up, got two chicken gyros, feta pastry and drink .. sat at the small wooden shelved area and took in a little piece of Greece ! All under £12.00 so sorry bath restaurants but the taste and smell won !

Nice take away, friendly staff, very clean. However they slumped on the chicken and must have put a whole red onion in my wrap so overall disappointing.

We came here for a late evening takeaway. The food was fantastic and we all enjoyed thoroughly. However the weather was appalling, it was bucketing down. The staff were almost oblivious to this and refused to let us shelter until it died down. I was shocked by the lack of understanding and we were actually man handled out of the shop. I’d eat here but I’d reccomend you get in and out as the staff aren’t particularly hospitable.

Great gyros....lovely traditional kebab; fresh ingredients were lush, great feta cheese.....chips weren’t great but what we went for (kebab) was amazing. Great value takeaway.

This place is my no means fine dining but on a night out you can get an epic feed for pretty cheap and it is actually damn tasty.. I mean I go here when I'm sober it is that good! If you like kebabs then get a magic roll... Kebabs on steroids!
