Bombay Balti in Bath and North East Somerset

Unfortunately. the food was exceptionally bland, chips were soggy. Poppadoms although free were soft. We actually booked with Bombay Balti because of the rating and reviews. It is a shame that we have to give this review and the food was just not great as we were celebrating a special occasion and was looking forward to it, based on our experience we could not recommend.

Good food but the customer service was even better. The driver accidentally forgot to get my drink out of his bag, not five minutes later he knocked on the door with the drink and apologised. Thank you.

Food is consistently top notch from Bombay Balti and you always get a good chat with the guys inside. Local gem!

Had a takeaway while staying at nearby Bath mills, ordered a variety of meals for all the family, would highly recommend, delicious,couldn’t fault it.

Sorry to say the food wasn't particularly good. It wasn't bad just not that tasty and the nan breads were very doughy.

Driver was friendly and food came on time and was hot. The food just wasn’t very good, there was no seasoning in my curry or sag paneer and nothing was very flavourful.

Absolutely delicious curry, best mint yoghurt around. Always flavoursome and decent sized portions. Even came earlier than advised, would definitely recommend. 😊

Good size portions, very tasty food. This is our go to place for takeaway Indian food. The dishes have good spice levels, very warming and comforting food.

Great food from these guys as always, and so reasonably priced. A huge meal for 2 for around £30 seems like a steal these days. They know how to do hot spice and they gave us extras too which was nice, and they are just all around super polite. Looking forward to my next takeaway from them.

I have heard a lot about Bombay Balti . But not really impressed. Not authentic, chicken dish stale, hard and gloopy curry sauce , definitely not Balti! I will give 5/10 as an Indian takeaway Need to focus on authentic recipes, fresh spices and herbs.

Made an order for 5 people, meals and sides. Came ten minutes or so earlier than expected, around 50 mins in all which is very prompt. Ordered through the website so very reasonably priced. Great food, all came warm and very high quality. The pathia was hot and full of taste, and the biryani was very generously portioned. Would order again

Was very busy with large party of ladies taking up most of the room. Staff were polite & attentive. I tried something new but found it rather bland, my husband also found his meal more bland than he was expecting.

Food came within 45 minutes. Piping hot and absolutely delicious! I find it reasonably priced when you compare to other lesser quality Indians in Bath. £1.50 delivery too is very attractive. I think I just found my new favourite local Indian takeaway. Compliments to your chefs.

I’m unsure what has happened going back a few months ago the food was amazing but now the quality of the kebabs have gone down hill. The kebab side of the shop has pretty much turned into a youth centre. With young teenagers spilling drinks, swearing and vaping in the shop using the shop as a doss area. Whilst whispering about the customers in the shop and making snide comments. This made myself and other customers feel uncomfortable. Whilst ordering and waiting for our food. Which I heard other members of the public complain about the same issues outside the shop and complaining it is almost every night, whilst I was going in. Which they chose to use another food shop instead. I should of taken there comments into consideration as everything they said was correct. Will not be using there service again.

Used to be my go to Indian take away. Haven’t ordered in a while and was disappointed tonight. Poppadoms were burnt in the middle on every single one. Chicken was it was old, tough and my knife couldn’t even cut some bits. The bits I was able to cut was veiny and red. Food was bland. Such a shame.

Literally the best in Bath!! We've order from Mo and his team on a number of occasions whilst trying to find 'the one' in Bath. Decent portion sizes, plenty of meat (if that's your thing) and they go the extra mile when we make mistakes! Highly recommend the Chicken Saag, Chicken Jalfrezi and Koraii. Add a Chili and Garlic Naan and you're in for a winner. A very satisfied customer again!

Even though the site does not say large you can leave a message for the chef and ask the amount you owe and pay it to the driver when they deliver. Cannot fault bombay balti and actually we really wanted to order but put off by just eat but tried it anyway . Just eat are so disappointing, restaurant have it ready but just eat deliver when then they want . Seriously you have a great business and my experience is you do better without just eat x

Ordered lamb on recommendation from friend it was disgusting very hard chewy meat couldn’t eat it, sauce had no spice at all horrible would not recommend food from this outlet if that’s the best they can do Not fit for human consumption.

Just one word: ok. The sag paneer isn’t creamy at all and just has spinach and chunks of paneer. The lamb tikka is pretty tough too - not far off jerky!

Highly recommend Bombay Balti. It’s the best in Bath and we recommend to all our friends. The food is really tasty. We have used them many many times so can give a honest review over many visits. Delivery is excellent and drivers seem to know Bath well. Moti at front of house is excellent, really good customer service. Always makes sure there’s no coriander on our food and won’t let orders go out unless they are perfect. Thank you.

We’ve tried several curry houses all over Bath and this is by far the best. We like it spicy and the naga is our absolute favourite as well as razala and vindaloo. Delicious. We order on a regular basis now through the restaurant directly.

Gave a very simple instruction in the comments box but it was unfortunately not read by the takeaway or driver so that was disappointing. Apart from that everything else was good. Real shame though that people can't read my baby was woken up and unsettled by the buzzer.
