Food was fresh and delicious as always

The food was nice as always but poorly handled during transit I suspect. Enough that the bread/pappdoms were crushed/broken up and soggy because the curry sauce was allowed to be spilled over them. Which also caused the bag the dishes came in to also break/tear apart. If it weren't for the outside plasitc carrier bag containing the contents the food would have fallen through. Some of the food inside the sealed containers was also all up in one end of the container. Which suggests the food was being forced around during transit. Very bad delivery driver, i think they used a rollcoaster to deliver Just Eat orders !!!

Late delivery and food just about OK.

the food was so salty I couldn't even eat it 9 months pregnant so i was concerned with my health over eating it chef lied and said no salt was added and they refused to pick up and replace my order due to it being put on a plate .

my food was cold I would like a refund or a voucher please

I’ve ordered from here about 4 times and usually it’s great. This time, not your best. The sag paneer had very little paneer. The dopiaza was not spicy at all (from someone who orders a korma, I couldn’t taste any spice). The onion Bhaji wasn’t flavourful. Would maybe try again to redeem today’s order just in case. But pretty disappointed on this occasion :(

Food was watered down , saffron rice was tasteless! Very disappointed.

Ordered from here a few times, never disappointed. This time there was a couple of things that was missing, Called the restaurant and they got the missing items delivered quickly…. Great food and great customer service.

Sad to say, very disappointed this time for the first time. Food came very late and it was cold. Three pieces of chicken were red in colour but one piece was plain with ko colour or taste .

Food took almost two hours when it had said 40 minutes. Was stone cold on arrival. Store refused a partial refund. Claimed it was on the way over half an hour before it arrived.

We're big fans of Taj Mahal and live just up the road so sometimes get food delivered or collect but the staff are always friendly and the food never disappoints. We often go for the Mutton Tikka starter / Prawn Dansak & Butter Chicken always with some of their amazing Garlic Naan bread. Tbh there's probably loads of other amazing dishes and we may try them at some point but it's hard to deviate when you have such firm favourites.....we're very lucky to have such a gem on our doorstep!!

unfortunately food was nothing like I've eaten before. keema naan was weird and the kebabs were drenched in oil and squishy. the samosas looked like they're frozen and then fried. deffo won't be ordering again

Ordered 17.50 delivery 18.50-19.10. Clear instructions for driver that entrance to flats was next to102 and not to deliver to No 5 in the road. Had to phone restaurant twice told it was on its way thenthey phoned driver and I was told 3 minutes away Missed call at 19.34 as looking out for driver. Food cold paratha was not good on reheating. My sympathy is with the chef. Phoned restaurant and complained was told manager would call back when he came in. Ruined evening

Possibly the worst Indian restaurant in London mainly due to its poor management. Used to be good with the old management ages ago but with the current management it has become a disaster. Avoid at all costs. No idea about rewarding customer loyalty. Poor service especially for take away service. Bad health experiences with the food too. Hate to condemn a restaurant like this but this one deserves it

Very disappointed. We had to wait more than 1.5h for food to get delivered. As a consequence it was cold. It used to be my favourite restaurant in Streatham but after todays disappointment I'm moving on somewhere else.

Ordered via Just Eat. The food is very tasty. The staff are friendly. Collection is ready really quickly. The only thing I would like to see in the app are more descriptions about what the dishes are on the menu.

Food arrived late cold and with items missing

From when my order left the restaurant to when it arrived at my house ( which is a 3 mins drive away) took 25 minutes, resulting in all the food being cold.

The mutton in the platter was undercooked and the chicken in the platter and tandoori dish was over cooked and hard.

I’m only up the road from restaurant received the text “it’s on its way” took ages to get here and food was cold 👎🏻

Food was lovely but delivery took ages - arrived 40mins after the text notification was received to say it was on its way! So it was a little cold unfortunately. Would defo order again though but maybe for collection rather than delivery.

Very tasty food one of the best Indian takeaways have had in a while. Some of the starter portions were a bit small, would be nice to know when ordering exactly how many are in a portion. Food did need to be reheated as was a bit warm when arrived but overall would order from here again.

Caught in the classic cuisine choice conundrum, contemplating Chinese, chippies and curries, we caught each other’s eye, and, as if choreographed… “Taj Mahal!?” There was no choice. And yet again, the Taj Mahal delivers (if you’ll, pardon the pun)! Meat-free January came to an abrupt end when the lovely delivery man arrived 20 minutes early! A modern day hero. Much like the kitchen staff, who should be in the running for a Pride of Britain award based on their Lamb Naga alone. Thanks guys… What a meal. A succulent Indian meal! Callum & Karen, Streatham

The restaurant told just eat it was on its way 10 minutes away & then it took over an hour plus to arrive! It was cold…what a waste

Two exact hours, half an hour late, to deliver only two dishes, where the lamb was hard and all lack of flavours. Huge disappointment

This was my first time ordering from this restaurant and I was blown away by the food. It was hot, it was tasty and it was worth every penny. I thoroughly recommend and will order again and again from this restaurant. Absolutely delish and I feel that the naan deserves a special mention. Absolutely outstanding.

Lovely food, delivered fast, no complaints!

Disappointed with this based on the reviews. The chicken Korma didn’t have much taste and mushroom rice was pretty bland. the onion Bhaji was also inedible. Basically a whole fried onion.

Saffron rice cold and didn't taste like Saffron and they charged me £4.75 the meat curry was full of grease and the bread was half cooked the centre was dough

Ordered meat samosa and got vegetable. Ordered plain naan and got coconut. The food was sub par and cold. Just awful frankly.

Popped in for a late dinner on Saturday and had a lovely time. The food was fresh and very tasty and the service was friendly and attentive. I will definitely be going back.

The food was cold as it was over 30 mins late. We ordered makhani daal which could only be described as green liquid. Won’t order from them again was very disappointed.

Food's delicious and I appreciate the consistency of the chefs cooking..

Having read some of the previous reviews, we took a skeptical approach and was pleasantly surprised. The waiters were attentive and the food was pleasant enough. We left feeling we had had a good dinner without being presented with a high bill. All in all, good value, for sure we will be back.

Have been searching for a decent Indian takeaway since we moved to Streatham and having tried a LOT of others, we’ve now found the best.

pakora was soggy and portion small as was veg biriani curry portion. however all were tasty and naan was very tasty

Ordered a lentil soup had no flavour needed to add flavour to it and also the keema naan was mediocre

Revolting people run this restaurant- their menu is incorrect in Just Eat however they are unwilling to put it right, refuse a refund and laugh in your face. Really don’t bother. Go somewhere else. Nasty nasty little people! Revolting!

The food was cold had to reheat in the microwave. Wasn’t impressed.

Yesterday’s order was a 5 star rating for everything was absolutely on point perfect and extremely spicy as I like it Not sure what happened tonight but I certainly didn’t get a naga extra extra hot as requested ! Unfortunately my wife pointed out all the meat was pink throughout every piece of chicken we cut into tonight or checked between both mains were bright pink right through so unfortunately We ended up binning our meals and going without dinner

Been wanting to come here for years, purely due to the old school look of it. No pretensions here whatsoever, just friendly service and tasty curry! So glad we went. Only us, a table of 6 was in last night, seems to be doing a lot of deliveries though. We all really enjoyed our food and the service was really lovely. Will definitely come back!

We love Taj Mahal! Prawn puri is to die for, and everything really. We love the Chicken Dansak and paneer dishes. Bhaji is great. Love the vegi sides - all the Aloos are so fragrant and tasty - and I love the okra as well. When work is crazy we indulge and get a huge order so we don't have to cook for the rest of the week. Yum.

The lamb bhuna came in a small pot and I added extra money for chicken pieces which didn't come with it. Chicken tikka was hard and dry. The tandoori mix didn't taste good. The lamb and prawn briani was blane and tasteless with sugar.

Always fresh especially turka daal and bhindi bhaji.
