First time we went I had the chicken pakora it was perfect the mains were delicious great value for money would highly recommend

Absolutely appalled ordered food through just eat, missing a main dish, we called straight away they would send a replacement but the rest of the order would go cold.

I’ve only ever had a take away but I think this is my 5th one from there and it’s now our go to Indian I have a Dhaba Murgh Main chicken which I’ve never seen anywhere else This is now my favourite curry My partner has a Jalfrazi which is very tasty and does come hot so he has it medium The masala chips are both nice as there’s two different types Nan bread and popadoms 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 And it’s consistent every time it comes theyer the same tasting and delicious Fast delivery too from the restaurant

First time here and it will become our go regular, the best flavours, quality meats and ingredients. Super friendly and pleasant place to eat. LOVED IT AND WILL BE BACK

missing items. Items that were nice previously were tragerly bathing in oodles of oil, and the taste well all you can taste is chilli. that much chilli it over powered all those great flavours. Made my mouth throat and stomach burn for hours. Ruined my favourite meal.

Wonderful food and great atmosphere at this family run business. Chicken Kali Mirch was gorgeous, Bombay Potatoes amazing. All five in our party were delighted. It's just up the road from us but I would happily drive a few miles for the pleasure of eating here. Will be a regular from now on.

If I could give 0 I would, service was awful Vahile argued with me and my family/friends. Menu item was served incorrectly. Complained was told we was wrong despite me having previously ordering this item regularly, they then agreed and returned with a sauce which was the wrong sauce, sauce was awful and incorrect! Upon settling the bill vahile returned to argue saying that we never raised any issues and didn’t make them aware! Female staff member agreed to sort the issue and simply took out money and then refused to sort the issue or apologise or even correct him! Vahile openly said to myself in front of the little other customers that they had “I don’t want customers like you” we responded and advised that we wouldn’t be returning after the awful food, long waits for items and rude argumentative Vahile! I previously ordered this menu item almost weekly and recommend it too all my friends and customers however never again! Overall I’m appalled with the service and would like someone from the restaurant to at a minimum apologise for the way in which Vahile treated me, my family and friends!

The food was highly anticipated and surely did not disappoint. The food itself was nicely spiced and tasty. The delivery driver was extremely well dressed and polite, a cut above the rest. What a gentleman! Thank you very much I throughly enjoyed that.

Visited on a rainy Easter Bank Holiday Monday. We were warmly greeted and had a choice of tables. Decor is simple but very clean. There are plenty of menu choices without being overwhelming. What was nice was being asked how we wanted our mains prepared in terms of spices and heat. We opted for the chicken Dhaba Murgh and Chicken Biryani. Both dishes were really tasty, cooked exactly as we'd asked. And the portions were huge so we had doggie bags too! There's a good choice of alcohol and soft drinks too and prices are very fair. Papadums/pickle tray, mains and sides plus 2 large glasses of Merlot came to just over 20 quid each. We'll definitely be back!

Lovely clean environment with a very pleasant lady who served us.The food was great.The chicken tikka nanwhich was gorgeous. I asked for a little extra chilli it was perfect..The lamb curry recommended by the server was out standing.Would definitely recommend this restaurant.The Cobra on draft was the best we have had.

First, the positives. The staff are extremely courteous and make you feel at home. The prices are very reasonable. They've put some thought into creating interesting items like the avocado bhel, so full points for that. However, the food didn't quite hit the spot, for example, the avocado bhel was quite plain and lacked the punch of a proper bhel. The momos were almost certainly not made on the premises - one got the feeling they were frozen (happy to be corrected though). The Amritsari chole was pretty good. They asked us what level of spice we'd like and I said quite spicy, and boy, they did deliver what I asked for, and then some!

Freshly prepared food that tastes great. Brilliant service from the staff too, who were very welcoming.

Had it yesterday, rated it that highly. we had it again tonight. what a mistake! Talk about a one hit wonder! Food spilt out there trays, portions smaller & not as described 😪

Right meal delivered Biryani minus the mint and cucumber riata and green salad minus the olives NEVER AGAIN ABSOLUTELY NOT.

1st time I've used this place. Takeaway order. I've never had food arrive as piping hot as this was! Very hot. Very impressive. Fast delivery, very reasonable prices and the food was delicious. Very cheerful delivery driver also. Will definitely be using again

First time ordering delivery from here and was very impressed. Ordered the kebab pizza which I can assure is nicer than it may sound and the masala fries. The pizza was superb and even better than most of the pizza places in the local area. Will definitely be using again.

Main meals came out very disjointed, had to wait for different parts of meal at different times! But it wasn't busy, so no excuses, nan breads very bland

This is the only 2nd time we've ordered from there and both the food and service has been outstanding. The food is really tasty and fresh, the staff are very friendly and helpful .

First time trying this place and was not disappointed, we ordered take out for collection and they were so quick for filling our order. Got home food roasting hot like it just came out the kitchen. Had the butter chicken asked to make it spicy and they did not disappoint. Best Indian Iv had in a while will be making this my new regular. Prices are so reasonable and special thanks to the host because she was lovely and accommodating one the phone and when I got to the restaurant. Can’t wait to be back hopefully sit in next time

Walked in here last minute late tonight for dinner, great food, great choices. Modern and traditional dishes available. Lots of veggie options! I’m sure they could cater to vegan as-well. The lady who served us was lovely and I believe they stayed open later for us and we didn’t feel rushed at all which is very kind…Thank you!

Ordered the group poppadom option (10 poppadoms and 2 pickle trays)- worked out cheaper for 5 of us. However, what we got was a bag of smashed poppadoms (by no stretch of the imagination were there 10 poppadom’s worth of bits), 2 pots of the yoghurt and mint pickle, half a a pot of mango chutney and half a pot of tomato/onion pickle. Very disappointed. Sadly, order wasn’t checked until we got back and returning to rectify wasn’t an option. The rice order was also incorrect. Food was tasty, but the moral of the tale- check your order before you leave.

Unexpected plan me and my friend for day out. This used to be Italian restaurant. We spotted as Curry House. Seen more Indian Desi customers dinning in. Looked like a good sign. North Indian Punjabi Style Food. Really enjoyed and the service - was a nice experience from Simran - The Front Of House... I'll see you soon - tomorrow lol

Having been in here several times since its been open. I strongly recommend this place in Alfreton....its the best one yet!!!! I will always request a lamb balti..and the chef makes it just perfect. This place is incredibly clean, and prices are reasonable. Lovely service each time i have come. Tbh... can't fault it!!!!

We walked in here at 7pm & we walked out at 7.35pm. Service is terrible, completely clueless. We asked for drinks more or less when we arrived and didn't receive any, also asked for poppadoms & pickle tray only to be told they've ran out of mango chutney, now its Saturday night & no mango chutney, not good enough I'm afraid. I can't say what was actually in the pickle tray because we never received this either. 35 minutes later we'd had enough and left. I'll be surprised if it's still open at Xmas.

Came to Taj Thursday with a family of 7 the food was 5 star ⭐️ starters to mains plates cleaned out this place is a must the staff were exceptionally friendly and food out of this world.. ⭐️

Dreadful. Late and rang them 3 times to be told en route. When finally came it was cold and missing several things. Rang them and told only can replace what’s missing so overall a shocking experience. Never again!

Food was okay - some other restaurants locally do offer more choice and normally get some free popadoms - Nanwich was nice and the curry was tasty but had a lot of oil left on the plate. Will order again and see how it goes early days but good sign from the new establishment

Food arrived on time and was still nice and hot. Staff were very friendly, delivery guy friendly. Food was tasty, masala chips & bombay aloo were spicy. Some curries tasted different than what we expected based on other takeaways but still very nice. Got free poppadoms which was a bonus.
