I just had to write a review for what is the best indian food on the block! The butter chicken was creamy, flavorful and must be tried to be believed. Prices were also reasonable. I was greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting ambiance. The decor, with its rich colors and beautiful Indian artwork, set the perfect tone. Will be coming again.

I'm never one for writing a review, but feel I need to regarding how good the food and service was. I would personally say it was the best Indian I have ever had. I would highly recommend the lamb shank, it was melt in your mouth. I really hope the business does well. 5 stars from me, I can't fault anything.

Taj Mahal has been open about 3 weeks and as we visit lots of Indian restaurants around Kent every year, we thought we should visit this new one. Unfortunately we will probably never visit again. Menu is limited in choice, none of the usual Indian favourites are on it. I asked for a Chicken Vindaloo, even though it was not on the menu...every Indian restaurant can knock one of these up right....but alas no, they said that this was not on the menu and they couldn't provide one. I heard another customer ask for a Madras and again they said no. I suspect the food is not cooked on the premises, but bought in and heated up. The food we did have was ok, but no more than that. I had a King prawn puri to start and asked for that to be spiced up...it wasn't. Food is expensive, compared to other Sittingbourne Indian restaurants. The staff are attentive, but I thought that the 2 young girls serving, probably still went to school...they really had no idea. My rating for this place is quite generous, as moving forward, they may consider what customers really want for their Indian food.

Quite possibly the best Indian food I've ever had! I received a text thanking me for booking and the courtesy continued when we arrived. Happy friendly faces, brilliant food and reasonable prices, I'll be going again

We went for a family meal to try this restaurant, there was 4 of us and we received 2 poppadoms in total so half of one each, the condiments were tiny, so we had to ask for more condiments and 1 ppodom each. The food was really nice though but when it came to the bill £45 had been added on for things we did not have. The bill was amended from £155 to £110. We won’t be going back as we felt we were being ripped off the whole time, which was a shame as the food quality was very good

****please note this review was done on Taco Loco which was the mexican restaurant here before it becamr Tajmahal -we have never been to the Tajmahal**** Went on a Tuesday evening, pretty quiet and we had a nice window table. Table and menu were a little sticky. Service was quick and the waitress was friendly. Huge cocktail menu, we each had different ones and both were very nice. Good choice of food on the menu, we both had the enchiladas and it was amazing, would thoroughly recommend the pulled pork! Prices were reasonable, good size portions and we have both said we will be going back

food wasnt great it feel like food quality from first order to this just gone downhill game the other half bad belly after eating dont think il be comming back here again and food arrive luke warn too

Nice Mexican restaurant, very kind owners and super portions!

1st time ordering here and food was presented really well and was hot and delicious. We ordered fries and sauces but didn’t need to as it came with rice, salad,guacamole and sour cream.

First time orderes perfect flavour on the ribs wirh the punch jd glaze and would loved more of that salad thats taste but this time hardly any glaze on the grill combo and little salad and wraps were fine but needs more like the cheese and the salsa mostly hopefully next time i order the deliver will ne comming break great potion sizes just needed more of that glaze on all and that delicious punchy salad.

Staff too full on Party of 6 kept asking what drink we would like only just sat down The meal was very nice but during the meal we was distracted by asking anymore drinks Then one member of my family finished his meal the plate was taken straight away while the rest was still eating I have worked in many food places and wedding venues not the done thing until everyone is finished Then before the Bill was brought up and I was still eating a complimentary shot was put in front of us all No that’s comes up with the bill ! Sort out table etiquette you might have more customers this waitress was well over the top for my liking

We were eating today with my family and friends, and the food and the attention of the very friendly staff, the waitress and the owner, recommended.

One of us liked the food, the other thought it was quite bland which is disappointing because we used to love it here and especially the Canterbury branch. As there was only 1 other couple in the restaurant while we were there the staff member was incredibly overbearing, there's polite and attentive but this was far too much it was like we couldn't breathe. This was our exact experience the last time we went here about 2 years ago with more people, it's very off putting so I doubt we'll be returning.

The guacamole sauce had gone sour in one of the pots, it was the most disgusting thing I have tasted and tainted my taste for the rest of the meal. I still have the pot here if you want to collect to confirm

Delivery time was great however burgers where overcooked and dry. Chips undercooked and the children's chicken wrap was vile, it was dry, chewy and bland. I have ordered occasionally from this establishment since it opened and have never been this disappointed. I won't be using them again

Staff were friendly and helpful, explaining menu items and making suggestions. Waiting times for food were very reasonable. Food was beautifully cooked, tasty and well portioned. Honestly couldn't fault it on any level. All three of us left full and very satisfied. The staff informed us that the chicken was halal, so anyone with that requirement is covered off.

We came across this restaurant whilst looking round sittingbourne for somewhere to eat. Mexican food is one of our favourites so this was a welcome find. The service was very friendly and pleasant and the food was very good too. We will definitely be back again now we know this little gem is here.

For £16 for mixed fajita bought two and this was put in one tub. Not enough for two. Also only sent four wraps between two people not happy

Where do I start… so I ordered the jack Daniel’s chicken and ribs combo with sweet potato fries. it absolutely 100% came out the microwave absolute trash! The ribs and chicken were swimming in flavoured water in the container absolutely gross. The sweet potato fries were basically mush. I have tried calling for a full refund but they aren’t picking up my calls. I’m not one to moan but this food is genuinely terrible.

Nice food served with a smile. For a moment I was sitting back in Mexico 🇲🇽. This could have been Martinez de la Torre 😂 just missed the Spanish… Great to chat to the owner too. Nice guy. Will return for sure 👌🏼

What a night! Cocktails were delish!!! Everyone was so friendly and nothing was too hard for them they were so happy to help and make sure we had an amazing night. Even witnessed them treating a birthday girl to a cheeky "blowjob" shot was very entertaining. Music, staff dancing and staff conversations with us made us feel important. Deffo will be returning and I need those nachos and fajitas again! Thanks guys!

Came here for a friends birthday with her family. It was the first time I had ever eaten here and I was very impressed. The food was extremely tasty and there was a nice range of alcoholic drinks to choose from especially The Cocktail's :) The Manager and her staff were very friendly they all ensured we had a lovely time. will definitely be returning very soon Thank you All for such a lovely evening

Took my daughter here for a Birthday meal and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Fantastic food and drink. Brilliant attentive staff. Definitely need to come back here with my good wife and treat her for a date night. Recommend to anyone who fancies a bit of flavour on their plate

Took my daughter for her birthday celebrations. There were 12 of us and we were very well catered for. Very friendly staff. And lovely food whether u eat in or order takeaway!!

Tortilla chips were soft and chewy. Tomato used for sides tasted a bit off. Disappointed, as usually meals are spot on. Not sure what happened today?

My sister booked at late notice 3 just days before, as another venue let her down at late notice for her wedding lunch They do not normally open for lunch but they opened for our group of 30 We was sat upstairs .tables laid out lovely it was big airy well decorated room . The food was lovely We had about 10 steaks cooked .all perfect and no tough bits . Every body said how lovely the staff are . Lots drinks cocktails drank ,all enjoyed. Good was to die for! Plenty on a plate…. It looks expensive at first glance but the quality AND quantity definitely justify it! We had 3 tapas/ started for the 2 of us and were stuffed… the cocktail menu seemed never endless, there’s certainly a cocktail for anyone on their list! The music was a little loud at first but the atmosphere was quite hyped so would be a great pre-drinks/ dins before out our place!

Have been waiting to try this for ages. Food was a little disappointing. It wasn't cooked fresh and was reheated. Service was good, but food wasn't for me so won't be back.

Food was tasteless. The nachos were soft, the salsa had gone off, sent it back. We got the same Back. Not edible at all. The garlic bread was £5.50 for 2 pieces. Absolutely disgusting. The staff constantly watching over us than tried to take food and plates whilst we still trying to what was edible. Lot of money for food we didn’t enjoy. Think the owner was cooking.

Really nice Mexican food, had the veggie burrito which was amazing

I dont usually do reviews but this warranted it. We visited here during a work trip and it was amazing! As a vegetarian, a lot of places seem to struggle to cook vegetables well, AND make them taste delicious at the same time.. I had the veggie fajitas and they were incredible. Sooo many types of veg on the skillet - aubergine, sweet potato, carrots, onions, peppers, peas and sweetcorn all cooked amazing spices and super tasty. The homemade guacamole and salsa was unreal too! 10/10

Turned up at time of booking and was left waiting half hour or though not there fault did put a downer on the evening

The food quality was fantastic. The fajitas and nachos were lovely... but the duck rolls - exceptional! You don't need to order extra sour cream and guacamole, there's plenty already. Be wary however, the packaging used (polystyrene: unable to recycle) lets starch/carbohydrates go too moist when travelling. Be aware and prepared for that (or avoid) and you won't be disappointed! Lovely food.

Food was just okay but not worth the expensive prices. Salsa was like water and just ran out of everything. Also the wraps for the fajitas were far too small, suitable for children. Based on this experience I sadly wouldn’t order again.

I love this place. The food is good and well priced, and the drinks are superb. The Chefs Special cocktail is an absolute favourite. The service is excellent 👌 Juan the waiter is all over it. He keeps the atmosphere fun and is constantly checking drinks and food. You couldn't ask for better.

Very good Mexican food and great service. Their Margaritas are pretty awesome, too. Have been to 2 locations, Sittingbourne and Canterbury.

Sadly disappointing. Staff were lovely and attentive, starters and main courses were lovely but the desert was awful. Don't order the chocolate fudge cake unless you like it served cold instead of hot and the ice cream which should be vanilla was strawberry and was not only an awful combination but was also very grainy and tasted like it had sand in it!. Also we were the last customers in there at 9.30pm and staff kept looking at as though we should be leaving as they obviously wanted to close so made use feel uncomfortable ... not sure it's a place to go if you are having a catch-up with friends you haven't seen for a while as it will be an early night!. Shame really. I won't be going back again.

my ribs were burnt into oblivion. Pulled pork was sweet enough to be considered candy. The only decent one was our chicken, prawn and steak fajita.

Great food to eat in the restaurant, obviously just doesn’t travel well. Had to reheat every single item. Don’t let that out you off eating in!

Had the most amazing 18th Birthday celebration here, the restaurant were very accommodating and very friendly. The food was wonderful and the portions were fantastic and service was very fast. We are going back in March and would recommend 100%

NEVER USE JUST EAT, they take your money and deliver food that was missing items (prawns ) and the steak was gristly and refuse to investigate as no photo was taken. I will never use JUST EAT AGAIN

Great quality. But ordered a beef Chimichanga and a chilli chicken one. But ended up with two chilli chickens.

Very much enjoyed our visit here. There were 11 of us girls on a night out and went here for some food on the hope they could accommodate us. We wasn't disappointed, the service was lovely and food was great. Very big portions , the tapas on the menu was also very large 😀

Food was good but service wasn’t great. Felt like we were being forced out the door as waitress was standing holding the door open when we weren’t ready to leave and still drinking our cocktails. This was just before 10pm on a Saturday. Staff were rude, mimicking gun motions to head as we were getting ready to leave

For the prices they charge the food is not restaurant quality and I would avoid. We had a birthday party which was pretty much ruined by the food. Luke warm, over spiced and generally sad. Presentation was no existent, I’m sure there are far better places to order from!

Firstly we did not receive our full order. The prawns where missing. The fajitas where the worst I have ever eaten. I ate 1 taco and threw the rest out. The duck start was deep fried but stone cold when it arrived. Not happy.

Visited last week for lunch and had a lovely meal.

I do like this place. We have been back quite a few times now and the food has always been very tasty. The restaurant is decorated well with Mexican inspired bits and bobs dotted around and was nice and clean. The service is also pretty quick and the atmosphere is also good with some Mexican themed music playing in the background. The only negative for me is I find the drinks are a bit too expensive although there are a good selection on offer with plenty of different cocktails. If the drinks were cheaper I would definitely stay for longer to enjoy the Mexican vibes and would've awarded it 5 stars. Loved the Chihuahua painting!!

First order from here. Food was mostly good but chips tasted reheated and hard. Would also suggest dips are kept away from the hot food.

Ordered a veggie taco, refried beans and Mexican rice. The taco said it was spicy but i couldn't feel any spice. It also said it came with cheese and it didn't :( I expect Mexican food to be spicy, fragrant and full of flavour, but there really wasn't much flavour in any of it and the veggie taco filling was very greasy. I also ordered rice, as it didn't say on the menu that the taco came with rice, so I got two very bland rices, unless maybe one of those was supposed to be the cheese and it was a mistake? Overall, sorry to leave a bad review, but not great.

Burger was pretty good but missing coleslaw. The starters were massively overpriced for what you get.

Tennessee wings was only one chicken wing. I hope it Must have been an error or obviously far over priced Duck spring rolls only one roll.same as above. Burrito rests on rice so goes congealed and soggy.

This food was the most worst food I’ve ever ordered the steak was not cooked how I like the ribs were disgusting with no Jack Daniel source the only good thing was the fries the food come freezing cold

Not too sure what this restaurant wants. They let us book a table for 8.30pm but rushed us out from the start. They served our mains when we were still eating starters and called last drinks at 10.05pm. They tried to keep the deposit of 1 person when we'd informed them there was 1 person less -we had to discuss that to get that changed and when We'd sent food orders by email they said emails weren't working. It's 2022: whose emails don't work? Drinks we ordered weren't served. Pretty poor quite frankly. We paid the service charge hoping it went to some of the waiters but safe to say, we won't return.
