Stopped here for a quick Mexican fix at lunchtime - pretty good inexpensive quesadilla with just the right amount of spice. Service a bit slow but the place was packed and one;y two serving so not a problem!

Food quality is fantastic. Guac tasted and felt fresh. King size chargrilled chicken, cheese stuffed burrito was insanely good. But huge! Honestly could have fed an entire family.

Visited for lunch and bought the large chicken fajita. Was disappointed that guacamole was an extra 70p - I’d have thought that would come as standard. For £7 I thought the portion was just okay and the flavour too. Remember to take a few napkins if you buy this as it’s a messy thing to meat. Not sure I would return.tthought that was a key inf

Not sure why this place isn't better rated. Genuinely great burritos and I have been several times for lunch. Recently tried the veg options and they are are equally, if not more delicious than the meat fillings. Only issue is the wait can be a long at this central branch and tables aren't cleared down fast enough for seating.

The 5.75 meal deal for a burrito/tortilla, drink and fruit is a bargain and really filling. Absolutely great alternative to the typical chain food establishments. Recommended

Volvería en un abrir y cerrar de ojos. Lo mantuve simple. Burrito de pollo con queso y jalapeños. Viene con frijoles y arroz con especias como estándar y fue un buen almuerzo abundante! Staff were inattentive and we were left waiting for a long time when the restaurant wasn’t busy. It was our first time dining here and it didn’t leave a very good impression. The food was very good.

Asked for a small burrito got charged for a regular (£1.50 more!) But when I unwrapped the miserable wet tinfoil roll that contained my "meal", there was no doubt in my mind that it was not, as I was reassured, a regular size. Meat tasted like someone had fed the pig only cinnamon sticks before its slaughter. Go to the gyro place beside it instead.

Got a microscopic burrito bowl, chilli was completely flavourless. They cater well to veggies but the portions are a joke. Definitely I’m a celebrity beans and rice vibe.

We ordered Quesida and fajita along with tortilla chips and a can of juice each, I was expecting great portions for the price but I didn’t feel we got great value for money at nearly £20.

Ordered fajitas and a burrito. Extremely disappointing. The fajitas had very little chicken and for the price I expected it to be loaded. Burrito was ok not the tastiest we've had. This place used to be great but definiately wont be ordering again. Not worth the money it is now completely over priced for the quality of food.

Generally only eat here at lunch times to get the meal deal as it makes the food more worth the price. Can be a little off putting when you see staff members weighing each of your fillings though. And even when it is weighed, depending on who serves you, you could get varying amount of fillings! Despite that, there are a great selection of vegetarian and vegan options which suit me perfectly. Usually service is quick and theres always a seat if you're not on the go.

Aunque no creo que esa experiencia puede jamás ser superado mi experiencia más reciente dentro de las paredes de la acogedora y afectuosa y pequeña tienda taco en tienda renfield ciertamente perfeccionado. El ambiente sirven en este centro de moda poco era sólo uno de genuina bienvenida cálida, todo lo que quieres en una experiencia podimos mexicana. Sin embargo, la comida - en mi humilde opinión fue incluso más deliciosa que el primer toque de que maestro icónico brasileño conocido como Ronaldinho. Muchas gracias a Taco Mazama para permitirme sentir alegría de nuevo en mi vida con tal delicioso y comida a un precio razonable. Creo que incluso considerar tener que servir la comida en mi boda.

Visited Taco Mazama today at 11:30 ordered Pork & Haggis burrito bowl. The food was really awful and the quality was poor. Never seen any Burrito place measuring the meat. Not worth the money spent.

Tenía una Quesadilla de verduras haggis muy buena comida, sabrosa, picante y contundente. Realmente una gran selección si usted es un vegetariano que es refrescante! La chica que me atendió fue muy agradable y amable y me ayudó con elegir el relleno. Muy recomendado para un bocado rápido.

I've been eating at Taco Mazama since it opened way back when the year had two zeroes in it. Always quality food served in a quirky but very central location. As good at lunchtime as it is at midnight. A Glasgow classic.

Tuesday marked my first time at "Taco Mazama". Being somewhat of a creature of habit and a previous die hard "Pinto" fan I've naturally gravitated towards "Bar Burrito" and unfortunately until now, had given "Taco Mazama" a miss. However I decided to give it a try on the recommendation of one of my friends whom had previously bravely tried their infamous burrito challenge and failed.

Mexican is Mexican you would think... but this place just seemed to go a step further. The staff were lovely, their prices were low, the food was GOOOOOD and the options were endless. A special mention for all the amazing vegan options which is a rarity.... wish I could go here all the time! Also amazing art, decoration and paintings etc on the walls

Realmente generosas porciones. Los burritos son enormes y cargadas con rellenos. Muerto sabroso y barato para lo que te dan. Ideal después de un par de munchy pintas.

Popped in here whilst out shopping with the missus, food and atmosphere were great (and I'm not even typically big on Mexican food). The waiter was very attentive and friendly, look forward to another visit in the future.

Ordered the veg chilli burrito with their fresh homemade guacamole. Definitely the best Mexican food I've had in Glasgow! Visited previously with a south American friend who also gives it the seal of approval for an authentic taste.I hear they're open late, so might venture there after a night out soon!

I had the veggie haggis burrito which wasn't the best I've had from here but I still enjoyed it. The only thing which could have been better was the attitude of the staff, this is usually what it's like in this store. The food is really good but the staff let the place down.

There isn't really much else to say other than what's already been said in the title.A small group of friends went in to buy some wraps ...(don't ask the difference between a burrito and a wrap, the staff take this the wrong way as a personal attack on their company),besides the food quantities being good large, the attitude of the staff completely destroys the experience. Bored people, not interested, enough said.

Make the trip to Taco Mazama Renfied St., every Tuesday for the vegan specials. Different special each week. However, always a range of vegan friendly options available and appreciate the care the staff go to to prepare vegan orders using separate utensils. Thoroughly recommend for any vegan wanting to get a quick meal. Gets busy at lunchtimes but staff are fast and efficient and never have to wait for more than 10 minutes at the most even when the queues going out the door. Only complaint is that they've not opened a branch over on the east side of Glasgow yet.

Went in for a quick bite to eat. It was good just what i asked for. Though i didnt find the extra hot salsa that hot. But thats just me i like it spicy. Also would have liked more cheese. Apart from that food was good and staff friendly.

I hadn't been to Taco Mazama for a couple of years but since the takeover of Pinto and subsequent decline by Barburrito I've been unable to find a good burrito.The food itself was fresh but lacked in flavour, although it was spicy enough. The portion was okay but would it kill these people to give a bit more chicken/pork/whatever. If I'm paying £7 at least make me feel like I'm getting my moneys worth.As for the staff, the girl that served me was barely interested. I as the only customer there and was met with a monotone voice and zero enthusiasm

Randomly foun The restaurant while looking for somewhere new to eat. Very clean inside and good to see the food being prepped in front if you. Staff were OK, one girl very helpful the other munching lunch in the background. The food was delicious, very filling, fresh and tasty. Really good deal for £6.95 which include juice and fruit/chips. Would recommend more for a fresh quick bite to eat :)

We had really good burritos here, both vegan and vegetarian options . Wendy had the chick pea version and I had the shredded tofu . They were awesome . Alongside the ubiquitous jarritos . Will visit again next time we are in the city

Visited on the 12th December to pick up a takeaway burrito box...I rather wish I hadn't.The service was dreadful. The chap - who evidently had no interest in being there - left me waiting for two minutes whilst he regaled his bored-looking coworker with a tale of his weekend. He then ambled slowly to the counter before mumbling something indecipherable about the menu at me.As for the food, it's really dropped a long long way from its hayday - I'm very surprised it's still operating given the dross I was served. I ordered a burrito bowl - which is effectively mexican rice with a filling, some cheese, and the typical tex-mex sour cream, salsa and guac.I opted for the 'spicy shredded beef' filling - which was neither spicy, nor obviously recognisable as beef. It was tasteless grey gloop, and quite frankly it was dreadful. The only redeeming factor was that I received a pitifully small portion (less than a spoon - I assume they had run out), so the pain was at least brief. This was compounded by both the poor quality of the remaining ingredients (guac wasn't fresh, the sour cream was tasteless, the cheese was stale and plastic, and the jalepenos tasted like the kind you get out of a jar).The fact that I was charged nearly £8 for this was painful - and I certainly won't be back.

Eenvoudig maar lekker mexicaans restaurant. Niet heel sfeervol dineren, meeste mensen nemen eten mee, maar je kan er ook even zitten. Eigenlijk fast-food dus, maar van goede kwaliteit. Althans, the veggie chili van de dag was erg lekker en niet duur (£ 6,50 voor een flinke burrito). Ideaal als snelle, lekkere, maar toch gezonde hap.

I've gave this place the benefit of the doubt 3 times and every time I have been given frozen food. I ordered a chicken fajita and its always cold. My husband raves about this place because his burrito is always hot so I have went back today and ordered again and his was roasting hot and mines stone cold again!! I won't be back.

I visited here with my husband today, when we came here only two people were sitting inside eating and there was no queue to order. My husband and I took our time deciding what we wanted then went over to the girl to order. I will point out that my husband isn't the best at ordering he can be a bit confusing but the attitude of the girl was uncalled for. My husband asked for two lunch deals one fajita and one burrito. He was trying to describe what he wanted but the girl taking the order was speaking to him in a very belittling way, because of this I told my husband I no longer wanted anything because I just couldn't stand to be in the presence of someone who had such a negative attitude. So we actually left and went to the Hard Rock Cafe for fajitas. If you want to have more customers in your establishment at peak times of the afternoon (this was 1230) then I suggest that the staff should be nicer to the customers, the only reason we came here is because my husband liked the store in the West End. I would never come back in here, much better service elsewhere. This has really upset me, my husband is very nice and doesn't deserve to be spoken to like that.

I've been a regular Taco Mazama customer for a couple years now - their lunchtime meal deal is a favourite in my office. Burrito, tortilla chips or fruit and a drink for under a fiver. Can't whack it! Much better veggie options than Pinto (and more reasonably priced too) and the staff and music choice are always great. They also have a bar downstairs with a couple beer taps and a somewhat misplaced premium tequila selection. They could do with some music downstairs as the atmosphere can often be a little empty for a bar area.

I've been here a few times, and the salsas and meats are either fresh and full of flavour, or are bland and cold. The food and drinks are a bit pricier than Pinto and not as varied. Although, I do love the Mexican soft drinks - a nice change from the usual Coca-Cola range served in Pinto.

I went here at lunch time today with my wife. I've been before with my son and enjoyed it. Today was no different. We both had the medium chicken quesadilla. They were really good. I would have enjoyed a little more of a kick. Freak chillies wound have given this. 2 mains and a Diet Coke for £15. Well worth it. Give it a try.

I try to come here whenever I'm passing through Glasgow. Always nice servers and the food is nice. I'm not a huge fan of spice but there is enough in the food that it is seasoned without blowing my tongue off.

I used to quite like this place as it is much cheaper than most Mexican street food places and the food is usually really good. However I visited last week and I am not exaggerating when I said that everyone who was in the place had to take their food back because it was not what they ordered. Instead of veggie chilli I was given seitan, instead of pulled pork my girlfriend got chicken. The guy sitting behind us got his order wrong, the two people who came in after him got the wrong order as well! I've never seen such incompetence in my life, it was as if the girl behind the counter wasn't listening to anyone.I think this place needs some new management to bring it back up to a reasonable standard. There was no draft drinks or frozen margaritas and this was 5 o'clock on a Saturday!

Was in today in Byres road...was extremely poor never had a worse Burrito in my life! Always a big fan of taco mazama but definitely won't be back. Tortia was cold as was the filling and the Burrito fell apart as soon as I started to eat it and was mostly just sauce. This has happened twice in a few months very disappointing.

Food arrived stone cold (FREEZING). Almost like the chicken was taken straight from the fridge or freezer. I was wondering whether the food was actually cooked or not. I phoned to request a HOT fajita but was informed that they don't compensate customers for poor standards.Left with no option but to leave a highly negative review on Tripadvisor & Facebook. Wouldn't re-order for delivery.Chicken fajita arrived in a brown bag by the delivery driver.

I met a couple if friends for some food and drinks in the evening after work. The burritos are pretty filling and the salsa tastes great. The frozen margarita's were on offer at £1.50 so a couple if those went down well. The bar downstairs is compact and staff were helpful pulling some tables together for our group. The bar has a chilled atmosphere and the music is not to loud so you can chat easily.

Dropped in for a bit to eat while waiting for a train. Good selection of food and prompt service. The staff could be a bit friendlier when serving. helping are large so sharing would maybe suit people better

We visited this establishment for a quick easy snack, I had the regular burrito (which was huge!!). My girlfriend had quesadilla which was also amazing. My burrito was stuffed full of pulled pork, chilli beans and rice, with dashings of sour cream, guacamole and salsa.We were served by a girl called Aine, she was very polite and had excellent customer service skills, and she makes amazing guacamole.A must go if you are in the area. Very filling snack.

Well Passed this place by accident, was going to be a good old Greggs but this place looked even more appealing. Large menu to choose from, had to go for nachos and chilli with cheese and chillies.....wow amazing, plentiful. Next time I will try something else. Oh and washed down with IRN BRU well you have too.

This place is spot on if you're after the most depressing and miserable customer service experience of your life. After initially being confused by the ordering instructions on the wall, we decided to give it a go anyways and approached the charming 'hipster' gentleman who was stood behind the counter staring at us whilst doing the best impression of a lifeless man I've ever seen in my life. Rather impressive. We eventually got through the ordeal of interacting with this man to receive below average food that was about as awkward to eat as the hipsters body language. It quickly dawned on us that non of the staff in Taco Mazama had a fully functional personality, nor did they possess a soul, and only served food with the goal of ensuring you will never return. Finally, it's worth adding that if you want to sit in, there isn't a great deal of room to do so and it's probably best to just get out of there as soon as you can anyway. Bloody hipsters and their Mexican food.

Sat in what you would call a dungeon! Bowl of natchoes with little topping although what was on top tasted nice ! Had a real laugh with the young guys that came in for beer tasting , no seats or standing room as very small ! They kept hitting their heads on lights , won't be back defo not for couples and just mabe for students !!!!!!!! But sure one visit and that would be it .

For sure the best burrito's for the best prices in Glasgow, Been going here frequently for years and it never disappoints. Plus the music is always amazing - I even follow their Spotify playlist.

I had a voucher to go along from itison for £8 and asked hubby a couple of times but he doesn't really like nachos. I was in the city on Monday 7 September for an errand and decided to treat myself! Thankfully it was quiet in here as the rest of the city was jumping with football supporters as the Scotland v Germany match is playing at Hampden tonight and all outside bars and restaurants were mobbed! Good atmosphere though as everyone appeared to be mixing well! Stu saw to me and served me the delicious margaritas and they were amazing! Holly got me the nachos and they were very tasty indeed. Nice wee place that I had never ever tried before until now and will surely come back sometime! Thanks guys! Xx

Went here on Saturday 29th August with my fiancee we had an itison voucher for nachos to share and 2 frozen margaritas for £8, the margaritas we really great and the nachos well worth the money, we also had 2 bottles of sol we will be recommending to our family and friends and will defo be going back. great food and drinks and the service was really good and staff very helpful and friendly

Lukewarm service, lukewarm burrito, with beans refried so hard they were inedible. Like chewing a burnt tire. Disgusting. Never again.

So me and my husband about a week ago now visited this Taco Mazama and won't be visiting again. Firstly the music was up so loud me and my husband could barley have a conversation. Secondly whatever i was given on the assumption it was suppose to be some form of Mexican food it was NOT. The wrap was dripping the whole thing was cold and we ordered drinks which we paid more than 15 pound for tasted like something from the nightclub across the road it was a horrible experience i discourage anyone eating here unless you would like a unsatisfying non authentic Mexican food experience then yes its perfect.Jade

Had a craving for some Mexican and had never tried Taco Mazama. Had a fairly dissapointing experience.Staff member wasn't welcoming, seemed hungover, like he didn't want to be there.Wasn't sure how to order so told him everything I was after. Don't think he actually took any of it in as he took it to the counter and asked me what I want after cooking the chicken. If I ask for a cheeseburger with tomato ketchup and onions, I don't expect to then be asked "cheese? Salad? Sauce?". Noticed a wall of fame, and a wall of shame, so obviously they have some challenge. When asked "is it a huge burrito or something?", the reply was a very un-enthusiastic "it is".About £6 for a regular burrito ( why is guacamole 50p extra? ) which I felt was over priced for what is basically a Mexican subway. Salsa was very runny and bland, asked for tomato and chipotle sauce ( didn't get any ).Just a dissapointing experience. Will try Byres rd, and central branches at some point, but not very confident after this first time.

I sometimes swing by for a burrito to taco mazama - it's worth the 15 min drive from work! Everything is always fresh and tasty, and there's usually no wait, as the staff are pretty efficient.I really like their tortilla chips, too and they give good guac. Great for a quick takeaway lunch.

So happy we found this little gem! Having tried a number of Mexican burrito fast food places around the country I finally have found somewhere that does fresh, authentic Mexican food! I was twice in this place with one week difference but noticed that no matter people at the till were different the service was at the same poor level. First time I was serviced by a trainee girl who obviously needed a hand of the experienced worker. However he ignored her struggling with my order. This caused a huge queue. I bet the guy saw myself standing and waiting there literally for 20 minutes. After a lot of people came in after me, he came at the till and asked if I was serviced. What a Captain Obviousity! After my order was packed in bag and I was on the street, I felt that a sleeve of my jacket was wet from the salsa juice. And it came through the bag! Second time I came there, the guy didn't add another ingredients into my food. When I came home and unwrapped my order, I felt the smell of old onions chopped into salsa as well as other ingredients were cut as for cattle. I liked Taco Mazama a year ago but it changed a lot. So don't think that I will come there at nearest time.

Having been a long time lover of Mexican food and having tried a few of the other Mexican takeaway across the UK i thought Taco Mazama would be great as they were everywhere. I even got a Groupon Deal so win win........ When i entered the place was empty, but i liked the idea that i could buy all the ingredients to make there food at home, but that is where all the good points ended.......Service was poor as the member of staff ( maybe manager i do not know ) took our groupon card huffed and tutted at it and then made a loud phone call to someone to ask when this started and if he needed to grant us the deal.... This was then followed with a smile and our food was served. Firstly the quality of the ingredients was not great and once i sat down picked up my Burrito it collapsed into a large pile of mush ( it had no been wrapped properly at all. ) The Fires were so crispy ( i like crispy fries ) but they tasted like they had been cooked at least 3 times...... so because my burrito was no a large pile of mush and my fries were rock solid i asked for a fork of which there was none and i had to wait 15 minutes to be given one and by this time the mush and fries were cold. I never finished my meal me and my friend just left .I Was so disappointed by this . with so many Mexican restaurants in Glasgow i would have thought the quality would have been so much better. Doubt i will ever eat here again which is a shame really.....

Went for dinner with my partner on a Saturday night. There was only two staff on and although it wasn't busy they seemed to struggle to keep up with the few people who were in. The staff were nice enough but kept busy.We both ordered beef and chorizo burritos, a bottle of Sol and a margarita.They said they would take the food and drinks out to us when they were ready. My margarita came first, it tasted cheap and synthetic, although I don't know what I was expecting in this kind of place. The burritos arrived about ten minutes after that. They were big and filling but didn't have much taste to them and were stone cold in the middle. They forgot to bring the bottle of beer so had to go back and ask for that. There isn't much seating in the place and it's not well laid out. For the prices they are charging you are better off going to Pinto just up the street. The service is fast, the food is hot and they have a much better selection on the menu. Will not be going back.

Ordered couple of times from this restaurant, food is average , service is poor . They do not do home deliveries and don't have great seating space.

Not only is the food amazing but the staff are the reason me and many colleagues go back there so often. So friendly and a brilliant overall service.

I got nachos from here tonight as take away, got them home and it had no guacamole, no salsa, no sour cream which is a total rip off for £5.99.It was basically crisps, cheese and pulled pork. Which is amazing cause it took 15 minutes to make.I am of the opinion if nachos can be done badly all other food can, the service was terrible as well, looked like the two guys started that day and couldn't wait to leave.
