Came across this amazing bakery last year and wow the shop is in good location clean bright with 3 great staff the cakes and scones are best in town unbeatable wouldn’t go past this bakery coffee best takeaway coffee in town not the weak drizzle from other shops strawberry tarts best ones bread an amazing selection same with rolls only downside they don’t have a shop in castle Douglas but well worth visiting

What a lovely hotel and the staff are amazingly helpful. The room is amazing clean and very spacious, I have stayed on the island many times over the years but this place is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Stay here a million times better than the Sefton, it's a great location absolutely fantastic.

68 Drumlanrig StreetJust had lunch at Jinty-B's in Thornhill, Dumfriesshire. Gorgeously quirky, comics wallpapering the cafe, great home-made toasties & cake, hot tea & coffee & everything is immaculate. Perfect for family groups & very dog friendly.
