Szechuan in Aberdeen City

Unfortunately the 1st time we have been extremely disappointed with our meal tonight. Only thing with a little taste was the noodles. We got prawn hot garlic and special thai spicy garlic. It was extremely tasteless, the pork was fatty and it was full off onions and green pepper. Extremely disappointed.

Tried for the first time in a while. Pancake rolls were very oily, prawn crackers bland and chicken and pineapple bland with a very watery sauce and chewy chicken. Not good.

Worst chinese ive had in 40 years, just got chicken curry which was almost grey in colour and had a strange smell, the chips and rice were all cold, chicken fried rice had wierd Brown bits in it, will never go back there again Would give zero stars if it was possible Absolute joke of a takeaway

For me, it is a standard Chinese takeaway. Sometimes, it is hard to get through on the phone to place an order.

£50 order and when opened up found one complete meal missing. Couldn't be bothered chasing it up as I stay four miles away and the weather was atrocious

Worst Chinese food I’ve had in a long time. Food was very greasy, and didn’t sit well with me at all. Do your body a huge favour, by avoiding this place. 🤮

Another great Chinese takeaway in Aberdeen. Have used a few times, and they are always pleasant. The food is great, too - made quickly, and tastes lovely.

Was cruising through the town looking for a bite to eat, would've ate my own leg if it wasn't glued on. Found the Szechaun what a place. Was served by a nice man called Dean! what a guy helped me find exactly what I wanted. Eggs! and lots of it great atmosphere good people good food and lots of Audi's didn't feel out of place though, they even had a fish tank (probably where they keep the fresh lobster) u won't find another place that does eggs and beans quite like it. Lovely! oosh! x

Food from here is great, and the sweet lady who is usually behind the counter is always a delight to talk to. The inside could be a nicer place to sit, but as I always get take-out it's not really a big issue.

Great value for money..and have been a loyal customer over the years. Curry is delicious and the honey chilli chicken is one of my faves! Would definitely recommend!

I visited this restaurant for what I thought would be an enjoyable Chinese evening meal. I travel all over the UK and to date this is the worse food experience to date. If there is an opportunity to rate minus I would give it such a rating. Service was awful, food was disgusting. An overall bad experience. I feel robbed in paying for the trash food I received and after a few mouthfuls left on the table. Visit at your peril...

Only started using this Chinese over past couple of months however tonight had a Chinese and probably worst one in ages only to be told price was increased significantly from the menu we only received last month!! We will not be going back again

I ordered red thai curry and veg curry for 20£....it was the worst chinese and take away i have ever ordered!the veg curry was just horrible, there is barely any good veg in it,with no favours at all!same as the red thai that was not even close to it...shocking, i would never recommend it!VERY BAD

By far my favourite Chinese around! The sweet and sour chicken is to die for and as are the noodles! (Also highly recommend the chicken satay, crispy seaweed and wontons) The staff are always friendly (especially drivers👍🏻) and it always comes within half an hour😊 one of the best bits about it is that it’s such a reasonable price and you get your rice or chips included with a main!

A lovely Saturday night treat when I’m back in Aberdeen visiting family! Always tasty food and always quick and friendly service.

As far from Chinese food as I have experienced. Gloopy sauce (from a big plastic bottle) - disgusting overcooked and clumpy rice. Cold noddles. Chicken balls with more liquid fat than chicken. Nothing even remotely positive I could say about this place - if you want Chinese food don't come here.

We use this takeaway a lot and the standard is always high. Never had a problem. I especially like the Singapore noodles with King Prawn, Egg Foo Yung and the Chicken with Cashew Nuts.

Went into this place after some shopping in B&Q with my partner. We ordered and she couldnt put the card payment through and she saying it was declined. She was pulling the card out straight after entering my pin. The premises were very cold. And the toilet lights were off forcing me to use my phones flashlight. When I did manage to pay (about ten minutrles later), I ordered a sweet and sour chicken hong kong style and my partner garlic mushroom. When they arrived on the not very clean table, the rice was almost like it was microwaved and the chicken was very hard. It was almost as if they pre-coocked the meal and threw in some fresh vegetables along side a microwaved meal. No-one was there and I dont blame them. Whats more there wasnt much chicken in either dishes. My partner complained hers was "cold throughout". This HAS to be the worst restaurant I have ever been to. And the worst food I have ever eaten in my life. Never again!

Eat food from here maybe twice a month and its always sooo tasty, quick if you call in and collect and is still piping hot by the time you get home. Good place for food

I would say Szechuan is a below average Chinese takeaway. Depending on how busy they are, your meal is ready in less than 5 minutes. This is because all of their meat is pre cooked, just simply look through the service hatch and you'll see an open plastic container full of boiled chicken. It's the same with their sauces and veg. You can even see the chefs spooning all pre cooked food into a wok, throwing it around for a few minutes, then that's them done. Below average, their chips are nice though!!

We visit here probably on a monthly basis and have never been disappointed in the quality of food. They have an extensive menu and have tried a few of their offerings. Would recommend to others looking for a take away in the area.

Lovely food, lovely staff, never had to complain about anything. Anytime we have been and asked for certain things to be added or taken out its always done. One of my favourite Chinese takeways in Aberdeen (and believe me there are many here!!!!)

Yet again let down by the service here . Very grumpy chinese lady served and when receiving order I wanted to check it as last visit when I arrived home food missing. But she insisted all was there so trusted her but after 6 mile drive home food missing AGAIN ! Called them but just to be shouted at by lady saying u didn't order that item ... duh I did ! Food very poor quality and sweet n sour sauce pure vinegar! Avoid as I certainly will be from now on .

Went here for a carry out and discovered that there are a few tables available for sit-in dining. The lady who took our order was very apologetic that she would have to charge us £1 above the carry out price for the privilege of having a plate and cutlery. A bargain in my book. Food was excellent. Two large portions were delivered to our table together with a bowl of fried rice, which we assumed was to share, and then a second bowl of fried rice appeared. We had a hearty meal in plain but functional surroundings and all for £1 above carry out prices. We will definitely be back when we are next in Aberdeen. Alcohol can be served too if desired but we just had soft drinks.

Having a tradition in the family of a Chinese carry out on Christmas Eve, we phoned our order in and was told ready for collection in twenty minutes. Headed off, this is quite local to us. When we arrived it wasn't ready. I had ordered King Prawn Satay, asked if it was hot, the guy said no but we can spice it up. Ok after ten minutes we got our meal. Was basically cold in the five minutes it took to get home. Our pancake rolls were greasy, my sons fried battered chicken had more batter than chicken. My satay was tasteless. No other description. No spice, no flavour and certain didn't look like a satay. My son had ordered chicken curry. It too was tasteless. What a disappointment. My husband just went for chips and curry sauce. Chips were the best part of it. Won't be going back here. Absolutely gutted.
