The charcoal grilled food here is amazing, the lamb chops, grilled chicken wings were all really good but i ordered a chicken shawarma wrap which was ok but i should have got the grilled chicken wrap as that was much better. Their freshly made fruit drinks were very nice, do recommend them, a bit pricey for a glass but they were nice and fresh, good portion too.

We came in, and we literally had to seat ourselves. Not expecting a posh restaurant, but at least have someone at the door to assign you a table. The server came with the menu, and never came back to take the order. Had to go to the counter to place the order. The food was nicely decorated and tasted ok, we ordered the platter for 5. Took about 15 - 30 mins for it to be served. It came out cold. Wasn't happy but was hungry and not in the mood to argue over it, as I was with the family. The server wasn't really bothered as he never came back after serving the food, never asked if everything was ok. The bread was thin (lebanese bread), crispy and cold, rather than having 1 bread each for a platter of 5, was served 3 breads cut in half.

I recently dined in at Syrian House and opted for the platter for 6. The platter was impressively comprehensive, featuring 4 lamb chops, lamb mandi, a full-grilled chicken, 4 lamb or chicken kofta skewers, shish taouk, wings, chicken shawarma, hummus, moutabal, 5 pieces of Lebanese bread, salad, and sauce, all served with rice. The portion size was just about enough for our group. The variety of dishes offered a great opportunity to sample a wide range of flavors. The lamb chops were tender and well-seasoned, while the lamb mandi had a rich, aromatic quality. The full-grilled chicken was juicy and flavorful, complemented by the succulent kofta skewers and well-marinated shish taouk. The wings and chicken shawarma added to the mix, providing a satisfying range of textures and tastes. The hummus and moutabal were creamy and paired well with the Lebanese bread. The accompanying salad and sauce were fresh and enhanced the overall meal. Overall, the food was decent. While it may not have been extraordinary, it was certainly enjoyable and provided a good introduction to Syrian cuisine. Syrian House offers a solid dining experience, especially for those looking to try a variety of dishes in one sitting.

We were hungry like never eaten. Were in the famous Coventry Road. Asked a few people. Got recommended the Syrian House. Certainly not regretting. Waa greeted by gentleman Mr. Jassem, who has a very calm smile. We ordered mix grill platter for 3. Was ultra full. Taste is amazing. Ordered 3 orange juice. They gave mezze mix and salad. Too tired to describe them Presentation is good. Their humility and patience in explaining the menu was touching. They gave us complimentary tea. Tea had cardamom and mint. Was completely satisfying. All the best to the management. Will keep coming back and back.

Had an amazing experience at this fabulous restaurant last night. My husband wanted to treat me to something good after a tired day. Though they were almost closing, the staff served us so warmly. I crave for middle Eastern food and Syrian house is just the perfect place to satisfy my cravings. Their grilled chicken and lamb mandi are the best I've had. The taste, flavour, serving style were so appetising. 100% recommended. Will definitely come again.

Some of the best food in Birmingham

I visited here twice with my friends. On both occasions we didn’t feel welcomed and really felt like we were a burden so we were hesitant to ask for anything. Male staff was friendly but not attentive as we had to ask for something more than once. The rice and grills were tasty but they don’t have any hot sauce or chutney like we are used to in all middle eastern cuisine which is super easy to make but instead they provide you with an Algerian like sauce that cannot be eaten with rice. The mezzeh was delicious. Definitely will go and try again (maybe sneak in some hot chilli lol) but definitely worth a try.

For those looking for Middle Eastern food I would recommend this restaurant, Al-Bait AlSori. The grills are amazing and there is wide range of options in their menu. Lime juice with mint so delicious. I suggest to have a try.

everything is good, just I dint receive my Rice whit the Moussaka I think the Moussaka from 9 pounds is come whit Rice ,,,, little disappointed 😞 but good kitchen!!!! 🙏🏽

Beautifully spiced food including the salads. Stopped in to eat and enjoyed a plate of mezzes. Particularly loved the stuffed vine leaves. And the falafel was perfect. Shared a mixed grill too. If I lived closer I'd be a regular. Every single food item was delicious including the tea and tiny pastry that came with it.

Went here today for the first time and was really impressed. The service from the brother who looked after us was amazing from start to finish. He offered a family room for me and my wife that offered more privacy and helped us feel more comfortable. He offered us a space for us to pray. The food was really tasty, clean fresh and well cooked. It was served quite quickly and we didn’t have to wait long at all. Will definitely be going back again in the future.

Syrian house is the best arab restaurant here, chef Aziz is very skilled and a pleasure to deal with, he's kind and takes a lot of pride in his food. Have ordered from multiple times, Best for catering in Birmingham! From whole lambs, lamb shoulders and chicken shawarma platters...all excellent 👌

They need to improve their waitors. I waited nearly 40 mins for a chicken shawarma. The waiter should of told me it's gnna take x amount of time when ordering. Basic thing to do.

I recently dined at this restaurant and had a highly disappointing experience. We ordered a platter for five people, but upon its arrival, all the meat was burnt to a crisp, rendering it inedible. The plate of salad was a complete disaster, with everything mixed up in a messy jumble. The service was atrocious, the place was filthy, and the staff's clothes were extremely dirty. It's astonishing that this restaurant is has been closed by hygiene councils. We were charged 64 pounds for this subpar and unsatisfactory meal. Overall, a regrettable dining experience that falls far below acceptable standards. Avoide it

Honestly so disappointed with the food I received. The chicken inside my shawarma was so horribly dry upon opening up the wrap I was actually horrified the meat looked like it’s been sitting out for days the chips that came with the meal were soggy and without even a pinch of salt. Same with the mixed skewers meal the meat the lamb and chicken was so dry it took me about 7 minutes to chew one bite, the wings on the other hand pink inside!! It came with an abnormally large amount of rice for the which on the bright side was one part of the meal I enjoyed. The garlic sauce was nice tho and it arrived on time

Lovely place, especially when you want your privacy for your family, however the food should be improved. The rice was a little old (from earlier in the day). The chicken was very dry, the meat was as good as it gets, and the koftas were also okay. We also had the Moroccan green tea and that was as expected.

An hour late cos of traffic apparently when the geezer has a motorbike secondly I ordered 1 rice and lamb kofta and chips and lamb kofta but received both with rice. Me and my husband loved this place off it might be the first time they’ve given us messy order
