We have been here a few times and are usually met with a warm welcome and friendly staff. Yesterday the woman with black hair, hosting and serving was nothing short of rude. She didnt even acknowledge my beautiful smiley happy baby boy saying hiah and smiling at her. She never said hello when we entered the quiet cafe and i honestly felt like we were putting her out asking for two coffees. At nearly £10 for two coffees i atleast expect service with a smile. Unfortunately this has put me and a family member off going back in the future. With a few other local places offering great value for money and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, these will be our future choice. We are out for coffee at least once a week with either other local mums and babies, family or friends. I certainly wont be recommending here.

Service - Polite but very slow Pancakes - dry, borderline stale, bacon near raw and cold. Coffee - very nice flavour to it. Iced latte also decent. Cleanliness - messy tables and discarded table food left at the foot of them for the duration of our stay.

Tea, coffees and cake were all good however, service let this place down. Young girl serving didn’t know what the cakes were made of and wasn’t really that bothered in finding out. Service was slow and when giving us our drinks forgot to give us our cakes so my wife had to go to the counter. They seemed a bit overwhelmed and this was reflected in the service. Price was reasonable but wouldn’t rush back.

On holiday for a few days in this area. Found this lovely dog friendly cafe with great bagels, coffee and a pupiccino for our dog. Staff were very welcoming and made big fuss of our dog which she loved.

Dog friendly and good choice of cakes & bakes. Pancakes are enormous and coffee great BUT I've visited a few times and the place is always freezing! I keep my jacket on it was that cold. Not an warm inviting space, sadly

Popped in for some lunch with friends, caramel frappe is the best I’ve ever had, food delicious. I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone passing the area of Turriff. I would like to give a special mention to the two lovely ladies Becca and Hannah, they was very friendly and welcoming.

I have visited here more than half a dozen times since opening and each time, while enjoying the fantastic coffee, have been terribly disappointed by the length of time it takes to be served my order. The two staff today went at a snails pace and although there were only four other people in the café it took 30 minutes for two coffee’s and two bagels to arrive. Tables vacated were left for nearly half an hour before being cleared, most of my bacon was inedible and I was surprised staff weren’t wearing gloves when preparing food as there was also contact with the till and surfaces. Staffing levels and/or staff training appear to need to be addressed.

Best coffee around for miles. Food is excellent. No complaints on that score, in fact would highly recommend both coffee and food, sadly that’s where it ends. Have visited very regularly since the coffee house opened, the service is slow and chaotic but usually with a smile. Everywhere has teething problems. Having experienced an issue at the weekend and leaving due to the time it was taking, unfortunately short staffed that day, it happens, today we chased up our refund and it was immediately sorted, thank you. Decided to call in for lunch today, we do love the coffee and everywhere deserves a second chance. A member of staff made sure we had room for our pram and chatted away, she was lovely. Ordered our food and sat down. When our coffee arrived it was served by the young lady that we had spoken to on Sunday regarding our refunds. After waiting 20 minutes for our coffee, it arrived, unfortunately, served is too polite for the way the coffee was SLAMMED down on our table with no communication. I though I’d imagined the way the coffee was served but my husband also noticed. Our food was then served by another member of staff who was all smiles and just lovely. Meat Combo sandwich fab as usual. On our way out we said goodbye and thanks to the staff but were completely blanked by the young lady who slammed our coffee down. This is no way to treat any customer.

A very welcome addition, with the same good quality coffee and food I've enjoyed in other Symposium coffee houses. It's dog friendly, which is a real bonus, the menu selection is fantastic and the servers are extremely friendly. Only negative for us was that service was dreadfully slow, 25 minutes for a cup of coffee is way too long, but hopefully this will improve once they've ironed out the kinks (and also have a better way of recognising who's ordered what instead of asking every table).

Staff were pleasant but had to be prompted to take our order. When order arrived it was awful, the scones were so hard and overbaked that we could not cut into them easily, once we did manage to cut them they were stale so we left them on our plate. We were told we would not get a refund because we had already paid for the scones and only complained afterwards. The coffee was warm. We will never go back and certainly will not recommend the restaurant to anyone. To be avoided at all costs.

Stayed here for just 1 night while exploring Balmoral and the local area. Room was lovely with a stunning view over the Loch. Even had time to try the golf which was a nice little course. Found the owners to be nice and friendly. Would stay here again.
