Sydney Rocks Artisan Coffee in Enfield

How easy it is to lose a customer. Not terribly busy when we visited, but after 45 minutes and two coffees, the food had not made an appearance. After drawing this to the waitresse's attention, one of our plates arrived. The second arrived a couple of minutes later (overdone) but 3rd still missing in action. Finally arrived but clearly had been sitting under hot area for some time. Waiting staff really not experienced enough to deal with this situation, and owner disappeared tout-suite. Seems they have over-reached themselves if they cannot deal with so few orders

Having been here for breakfast a month ago we returned today. What an unmitigated disaster. After 45 minutes of waiting no food was evident so we asked one of the wait staff who suddenly produced some potatoes and a cremated piece of bacon. No sign of scrambled egg dish. Long story short the food had languished on the pass and was now inedible. Bill was sent back once as was no prepared to pay with no good will gesture. What was most annoying was that the owner was fully aware there were problems yet left the young staff to manage. When we came to leave he hid! We were going to speak with him but he had conveniently disappeared . SR look after your customers! We won’t be back 😡

First time back since the expansion of the space and we had the most lovely breakfast. Menu full of very interesting flavour options, and with all breakfast venues prices have certainly gone up, but SR comparable with our other favourite eateries. We will be back.

I’ve been to this place twice now, both times disappointed. £9 for avocado on toast. £3.50 for toast. £12.50 for hardly any fry up. I arrived and left hungry. I get the cost of living crisis, but come on. £9 for Avocado on toast is utter madness. Decor, staff and environment are all nice. But I just feel the place is trying too hard to be something it’s not. The menu screams out brunch in a ‘Greek Ritz’ equivalent, not a cafe in Southgate. I feel the cafe needs to focus on introducing and serving the basics well. By all means have all the fancy stuff on the menu, but give brunch doesn’t need to be all singing and dancing. Would not recommend to anyone until prices and menu have been amended.

Can’t fault it - superb service, carefully crafted menu, food made with the TLC & coffee that’s the best in north london. Not the cheapest around but you get what you pay for. This is not your run of the mill coffee shop!!! Looking forward to coming back very soon

We visited on a bank holiday and found we had a wait for a table, so opted to sit at the bar stools in front of the kitchen. This was a great choice, as we got to watch the chefs hard at work and see our brunch come to life. The food was excellent and the service friendly.

I have been anticipating this cafe reopening for months and I was therefore delighted to be able to come in for a light lunch. I had yolk rich scrambled egg on a homemade sourdough roll with cream cheese and cherry tomatoes. It was absolutely delicious but I wanted more! The coffee was superb too. This used to be a small cafe but has now become a much larger and more stylish venue.

Beautifully renovated cafe. The latte is the best you'll find anywhere. Love the fresh loaves they sell. A really great addition to Southgate.

My favourite local coffee shop, its been shut for sometime for renovations, cant wait until they open their doors. Always good quality food and pastries, especially the organic produce, with amazing coffee.

As a giant coffee lover, I appreciate you coffee much, it's makes me happy. And your sandwiches are art! Highly recommended to all.

Prepared and served with passion. The quality and presentation is excellent and it is such a nice place to visit. We can walk there. A really great addition to this part of N14.

The most friendly service. Innovative, delicious food from croissant to crab roll. Right on my doorstep it's a little gem.

I have not found a better coffee in North London. And although they have not extended their sit-down menu to the same range as before lockdown, their toasties and their 'overnight granola' are just excellent too. All food is prepared to order, and they take their time to do so carefully, so be prepared to be patient. It ain't fast, for sure, but definitely worth the wait. It ain't cheap either, but again, for this sort of quality, it's worth it.

Last reviewed Sydney Rocks just over a year ago. As they have just re-opened for take-away coffee and food, I dropped in and again was just blown by how good their coffee is! They're passionate about it, and it shows. Their take away menu of toasties are also very good. They sell organic produce too, on the expensive side, but top, top quality.
