Worst chicken chow mein ever eaten.

ORDERED A TAKEAWAY LAST SATURDAY 9TH MARCH, ON WEBSITE IT SAID THEY ACCEPTED CREDIT CARDS WHEN I ARRIVED IT WAS CASH ONLY. THE STARTER SPARE RIBS WERE OK AS WAS THE BOILED RICE, BUT ON THE CANTONESE DUCK THE FAT WAS REALLY SOFT, ON THE SPECIAL CHOW MEIN THE NOODLES AND VEGETABLES WERE OVERCOOKED, THE TEXTURE OF THE BEEF AND CHICKEN WAS QUITE STRANGE AND RUBBERY, IT WENT IN THE BIN. NOT IMPRESSED.

NO TASTE IN THE FOOD LOOKED STALE NO FRESHNESS WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY HORRIBLE!! CAN'T COOK. THE BEEF WAS CHEWY AND TOUGH DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON IT IT'S NOT WORTH IT. £18 DOWN THE PAN. DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE PICTURES DISPLAYED. ***UPDATE**** CAN'T STOP GOING TO THE TOILET AND MY STOMACH HURTS.

Pretty terrible food, would never eat from there again. Much better Chinese take aways in the area!!

My new regular Chinese takeaway. This place is great. When I try a new Chinese I go for sweet and sour. Simple. If they cant get that right I won't go back. So first time I got special sweet and sour, rice, noodles and won tons. First of all the portions are huge. Big tubs of main dish with lots of meat and the only one I know of that gives you three king prawns in a special instead of two. The sauce was rich and very tasty. Plenty of meat. The rice was as you'd expect. The won tons were nice and you got about 15 too!! So I went again and tried the special in honey chilli sauce Wontons and salt and pepper chips. The chips were not for me. Chippy chips should not be used for this dish in my opinion and these actually had vinegar on them too. But the honey and chilli was very very nice. Just the right amount of spice for me which is not too spicy. Wontons were great and 13 this time. Also they sent a bag of spring rolls for free which was nice. I'd highly recommend this place. I'll be going again

Wow , absolutely delicious tasting food, arrived within time and still hot. Best tasting curry sauce i have personally tasted from a Chinese takeaway, King prawn omelette was delicious too. Great all round service, highly recommend.

Order here all the time. Half the time they refuse to come to the door with the same excuse of there are no parking spaces . As I look out of my window I know this is a lie.. Ordered again today. They called and said the driver should be there in a minute can you go to the end of the road. Explained I'm on my own with a baby in the house so I can't. They then said ok we will cancel it then. Saw the driver pull up and leave again. Everytime you go into the shop the staff just have an attitude. Yeah the food seems good but the service is shocking and there just rude

….. This is the best Chinese I’ve had in any of the takeaway places in Lancaster/Morecambe. I’m a VERY fussy eater and do t eat vegetables, know matter what I order they ALWAYS accommodate and take them out. Plus there on the cheaper side compared to some of the other Chinese restaurants about. Delivery is brilliant and the staff are amazing. My defo go to Chinese from now on 🤗

Biggest portions of chips for miles around, at a cheap price. Staff friendliness is average, occasionally miserable. Food generally tasty and I like it more than the other Chinese take-away a few doors away. Never had a bad meal from here. Cash only - no card payments - but there is a cash machine across the road, if needed. Nearby parking is sometimes busy.

Tbf the starters here hit the mark week after week. The quality of the mains varies from week to week, watery sauces, Meat just dunked in sauce last minute, not cooked in it. I ordered a duck dish in sauce and was bitterly disappointed. I was expecting fresh sliced duck in sauce. What arrived was best described as scraps of dried out duck cremated in batter (to the point if you threw it at somebody you could knock them out!) with a side of sauce. Completely inedible! It went in the bin! Don’t order duck!

Awful customer service... I made an order inside the shop . Me and my family dont eat pork of any kind and as I was ordering my food I was very clear that I wanted VEGETABLE spring rolls, after being half way through a what I thought was a vegetable spring roll my wife and son both said it was different to our usual rolls. We noticed the mistake and I rang the shop and was in contact with someone who had no remorse or care about the situation, they didn’t apologise once until I had to say to them are you not able to apologise for what you have done. I was appalled at there customer service and the way the dealt with my problem. If there was an apology I would of let it slide as it’s an honest mistake but it was almost as if they didn’t care.

I used the businesses website tonight to place my order. The website is easy to navigate and there was plenty of choice so I think there will be something for everyone. You can select the time you want your meal which is handy and leave any notes during the payment process. I opted to pay by card as I dont tend to carry cash. I ordered the following: Crispy duck spring rolls £3.90 Roast duck and pork cantonese style £5.60 Mixed vegetable dry chow mein £4.50 You are charged a 50p service charge for paying by card and £1 delivery which is reasonable When the order is done online you receive a email confirmation of the fact irs been accepted, paid and the expected time for delivery. Order was expected at 7pm , at 7.10 i rang the takeaway and a polite lady answered the phone saying sorry its late and the driver is on the way, my order arrived 5 minutes later and the driver was also friendly and wishing me a good weekend . The food arrived hot. The portion sizes on a while were good but I would say the ratio of the duck and pork vs the beansprouts was out as there were too many beansprouts. The spring rolls were lively with the shredded duck inside full of flavour and nice pastry. The ho sin sauce was very nice and not too sweet like it can be. The duck in the main was tender and cooked beautifully , most of the pork was cooked well too but a couple bits were slightly dry, the sauce was nice but not overpowering. The noodles had a good flavour, not greasy and had a good variety of vegetables including peppers , mushrooms , baby corn etc. This was a nice meal that I really enjoyed , I gave read recent trip advisor reviews and it seems I had a polar opposite experience as anyone I spoke to was extremely polite. I would say though in the main more meat and less beansprouts would of been great. I would order from here again

The food here has gone downhill at high rate of knotts. Padding out dishes with more and more veg and less meat, of which is not freshly cooked. The sauce was watery and tasteless. Although its walking distance from home we will be jumping in the car to get a quality meal elsewhere..

Great service always and great tasting food

We waited patiently after we ordered and were told it would be 30-40 minutes for delivery. 2 hours later no sign of our food. We rang again and again and the phone was always busy. I know this is a busy time of year being in tier 4 and all but two hours is a long time. We eventually got through and were told another 30-40 minutes. Still an hour later and no sign of food.

Takeaway nite sorted! Chippy side for the kids chinese for us! Good hot n sour soup too. Tasty!

Asked for chicken fried rice and half chicken fried rice half chips with sweet & sour sauce. Got home and NO chicken in sight, just fried rice & half rice half chips, the sweet & sour sauce was tasteless as if it was watered down. Fried rice was stodgy too. Won't be going there again. Re your reply: i never mentioned curry sauce ! My main point was that we asked for CHICKEN FRIED RICE but got plain FRIED RICE !! No chicken anywhere in sight !! Poor service, poor reply to my complaint !

Made a order on Christmas eve of over 100 pounds food come and meals missing my wife rang to get told nothing was missing and was spoken to ruddly by a member of staff on phone when we placed the order the lady we spoke to checked the order be4 we placed it and it was right then but when the food came it was missing we used this takeaway a lot every weekend and have never had a problem till Christmas eve when we put a big order in and we found this to be unprofessional how it was dealt with you could not have checked the computer when you never even asked 4 a address or a name that the food was ordered in

missing food from a order that coat well over 100 pounds food was charged for eve thou missing rang to tell them and was told we must be lying. was going to go and collect missing items but was told no items will be their and they aren't making them us

Been going here for years, the service now us horrendous. Rude young girl on the phone. She might aswell have said she couldn't be bothered to answer the call. She was even ruder when I went in to collect. Sat there rolling her eyes at the customer before me. 2 Of the 4 items I ordered were wrong!.

I have been a repeated customer here for as long as I care to remember. However I will no longer be spending my money on this poor excuse for a Chinese takeaway. I ordered just after 5pm this evening and was told it would take 45 minutes delivery. I rang up at 6pm because there was no sign and I was informed my order was then leaving the takeaway. The delivery driver rang me twice as she was struggling to find my address (which has never been an issue before). However the bigger problem was her attitude upon coming to the front door, trying to claim we had said it was a cul-de-sac, when in fact we live on a road. The majority of properties on the road are bungalows and we had clearly explained we lived in a house, or so we had thought!!! A simple apology to say she had misunderstood what we had said would have sufficed, which just shows shocking customer service because she just kept arguing without offering a valid explanation! Therefore we called the takeaway to explain the poor attitude of the delivery driver and asked to speak the manager, to which someone the other end of the call pretended to be of this position. I was informed that there was nothing could be done as our complaint was not to do with the food and was simply a misunderstanding. I did not feel that to be the case, as manners were lacking and was met purely with confrontation instead! At this point the so called manager said the owner lived in China, so I stated I would find out who this was. She said I should come down to the shop now, which I found both threatening and inappropriate given I had just received food. A disgraceful approach and they even had the arrogance to state they had never received a complaint prior to this, which I find impossible to believe with any business. The food was cold and substandard, probably compounded by what we had encountered. Suffice to say we will not be returning and will be warning all out friends and family to steer well clear from now on. Shocking!

Fresh tasting food and great service and great staff .

Special fried rice bang on could tell they were fresh prawns! Bbq sauce nice Beef chow mein a bit different to Chinese normal taste but beef in it was supperb! Salt and pepper chicken was 10/10 banging!!.

Absolutely shocking! Been a customer for several years along with other family members. Called to place an order for delivery to be told that they will take my order this time but will not deliver to me in the future as they have had numerous failed order/deliveries. Obviously surprised and asked when a failed order had been placed for my address to be told it isn’t my address it is all houses at the top of heysham. Astounding! Looks like another Chinese will be having mine and my families business from now on. Customer loyalty means nothing anymore.

Ordered food at 18:55 on a Saturday night, they said it would be delivered in 45 minutes to an hour. We actually got it an hour and a half later. Obviously cold from traveling around Morecambe and Heysham. If it is going to be an hour and a half, just say that. When it is cooked, bring it. Don't take on a tour of the County. Also, when you describe it as Cantonese sauce, don't send me gravy, I can tell the difference. If your chef cannot make it, take it off the menu. This is not just a complaint directed at you. This is to all takeaways and restaurants in Lancaster and Morecambe. Pull your socks up, give yourselves a shake, pull yourselves together and sort your heads out. You have all got sloppy and lazy. Take some pride in your work. Please feel free to share with all your colleagues and competition.

Good selection of food, quick service

Me and my mum ordered crispy shredded salt and pepper chicken and chicken chow mein, bearing in mind we live round the corner, we had to wait an hour for delivery, even though we got told it would be 40 minutes, then the food arrived and the salt and pepper chicken was cold. We rang up to complain and got offered “20% off or new food” which we didn’t want as we’d already waited an hour. After arguing on the phone for 10 minutes we demanded a refund and got told someone would be round to give us our money back. 10 mins later we heard a knock on the door to a man asking me why the food THEY had cooked was cold so I replied saying I don’t know you cooked it then he had the cheek to start saying we were lying, he could see the polystyrene box had melted from where we’d had to put it in the oven to warm it up as it was stone cold. He stood in the door step arguing with us saying it was our fault and then told us never to order from them again and never to ask for delivery. He then threw the money at me and stormed off. Absolutely disgusting, none of the food was nice, it had no flavour and the prawn crackers were vile.

I’ve tried this place a few times now and get the same results every time. The food arrives in good time but it’s always cold. The sharing box is good value but the chips are soggy, wonton are just dry flaky pastry and chicken wings were very dried out. Our curry sauce was only half full too. Food is just about edible and prices reasonable. Delivery charge regardless of how much you spend is not in keeping with other take always in the area. Will stick to the better more expensive Chinese takeaways in future.

Just had a meal from there which one sniff and ir went straight in the BIN!! ABSOLUTELY DISCUSSING!! Will never go there again and would advise everyone to stay well away. Needs reporting to the health board!!!

Horrible wouldnt go there again ordered prawn chow me..with no veg..it was noodles in a sauce.which were stuck together With prawns thrown on top. No flavour..thats how there prawn chowmeins are made they replied..well I've had them from other take aways but never like that..

Ordered 3 times from here now, and tried a few dishes between us and all have been enjoyable. Delivery was always sooner than we were told on the phone too, which makes a change. Maybe not the best I've ever had but certainly worth using.

The orange duck (deep-fried duck) was unusual, and the orange sauce was tasty. I would recommend it. Although some pieces of meat in the fried-rice were a bit dry, over all was not a bad experience at all. We had a good take-away dinner, and every one enjoyed what they ordered.

Really enjoy the food from here. The hot n sour soup is excellent! Staff are always really friendly. Especially Ginger Spice and Baby Spice. Always a laugh!

I like the chow mein and special friend rice because its different to other shops. Usually you dont get the big pieces of meat on the rice in other chinese's. I also like how they offer a dry fried chow mein like other shops and a chow mein different to other shops eith crispy noodles. Would recommend!

Very good, I ordered special chow mein in sauce, it is very different to other shop, never see it before, it is crispy noddle on the bottom and meat and veg on the top. Chicken balls is the best in the area.

Food lovely had chicken chow mein dry fried, egg fried rice, salt&pepper chips best in morecambe,crispy shredded beef in szechuan sauce,duck in chilli garlic,would reco.mend here as no other Chinese does there food like here great service

Unfortunately gone now hill.it seems to be run about 16-18 years old now, that you can clearly tell that they don't want to be there as there always on the phone or snubbing you off when you walk in the shop. food seemed to have gone down hill but the prices seem to have gone up. The odd time i do go there is just because its around the corner.

Had a takeaway recently and started with salt and pepper spare ribs but was surprised that they were battered, very small and mainly fat. Not really worth it. The Hot and sour soup was ok but to e honest the best takeaway in the area is only 50 yards away so if its open go there.

Completely changed. All food smothered in batter . Horrible! Sweet zen tastes as sweet and sour used to so change to there!

We ordered a meal for four including chicken wings chilli salt chips, duck in plum sauce, chow mein and crispy chicken in ok sauce. The chicken wings were very tasty and however incredibly salty! I add quite a lot of salt when cooking but this was too much even for me. The chips were absolutely drowned in salt! The duck was very fatty although the chow main was nice as was the crispy chicken.

Gone downhill rapidly. Last two orders were wrong and poor quality after years of going there. What happened??
