12" Munchy box was my order. The picture speak for itself. Almost thought I got delivered by the wrong restaurant and everything tasted off. Presentation is terrible and I think a lot of hygiene laws were disrespected. To avoid at all cost

i can see a few people left negative feedback but to be fair i have been several times and i found the food to be fine and prices are very reasonable . i actually prefer the chips from here than my local chippy and i had several Chinese dishes that was fine. nothing amazing but still very decent for the price.

Woudnt even give it 1 star it was discusting sloppy noodles chicken dry the fish bits was hard never again woudnt rate the place

This is my go to Chinese in Lancaster at the moment. I usually get special Cantonese style and fried rice with wontons. The wontons. Very tasty. Large knot style ones and the filling is very nice. They can get a little soggy in the polystyrene box though. Only a little bit and it's fine but it would be better if they were in a paper bag or something. You get about nine too which is good as they're over four pounds for them Special Cantonese style. Consistently good. I mean, it's just like all the other bog standard Chinese takeaways you get all over the UK. Only get two prawns in it but there is plenty of other meats to make up for it. And they're well cooked. The sauce is nice. The rice is nice. Nothing special. Nothing special is the theme here. It's all nicely cooked and hot. It's consistent which is why it's my go to. If you want standard UK style Chinese go here but if you're looking for gourmet this isn't the place. Highly recommended

Worst Chinese I have ever had! got a chicken curry 4 days ago and got a nice side of food poisoning to go with it, perfect way to enter the new year. I would recommend you avoid it at all costs. Cheap slimy ingredients go golden dragon in town its much safer.

Sadly for the first time the food delivered tonight was very poor , chicken balls overcooked and hard and it was all cold , waited longer than time promised, hope this is a one off

I can't speak for their other dishes but DO NOT order the king prawns and mushrooms. I ordered this last night and could only finish half of it. Spent the rest of the night with a queasy stomach and threw it all up this morning.

I have been ordering from this place for about 3 years now and the food is always consistently hot, fresh and tasty, infact I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. I have looked on the just eat app when I have had no cash and the prices through the app are ridiculous, I refuse to pay it. Want a decent chinese?? Ring up directly and pay cash on delivery! Cheaper than the app and brilliant service everytime. The delivery drivers are lovely and I have NEVER had a problem with wait times or cold food. Ooh and the satay sauce is next level tasty👌Fab food every time! Thank you golden house.

Went tonight to buy my son some food and when I paid they short changed me, I questioned this and they told me their prices had gone up, but when I pointed out the price on all of their menus hadn't changed I was still refused my over spend.and told that's the price.

We have been getting our Chinese from here for around 3 years. The food is always delivered quickly, is hot and delicious!! I couldn't imagine ordering from anywhere else for a decent Chinese. No complaints from me and as always I will continue ordering 👍

Poor service received. Girl on counter attitude was very poor, didn’t check the order properly and got it wrong. Hung up the phone when rung. She clearly isn’t in the right job! Too busy going to outside too see her mates than work. I wasn’t the only one she got the order wrong for someone else came back whilst I was there! Owners on the other hand were helpful and the food was good!

I would love to leave a review on the food, if I had actually gotten the chance to eat it. Ordered from this place and waited 2 hours past the expected delivery time before calling to see where my food was, which was when the person over the phone lied to me and told me that it was on the way. Called again an hour later, to discover that my food, after I had waited 4 hours, had not even been cooked, and it had been so long that the delivery driver's shift was over, and they were closing for the night. I was promised a refund, which I have not yet received. Very upset with this service. I would give them 0 stars for their non-existent food if I could.

The service is good, good menu choice, meal is always hot and plentiful, will feed two people especially the chicken balls. Food is not greasy. The place is clean and the staff adhere to food hygiene and wear PPE for saftey.

I have had to deduct 3 points from my score. I can't fault my meals I have had, very nice indeed, but when I went to place my order again, it said I needed to spend more to get delivery. I live quite near so to be asking people to spend over £15 now is not fair and until they address their delivery charges I will no longer be ordering from this take away restaurant. Shame because their meals are great but to expensive.. Mac Vale Est..

We ordered through just eat. Very varied menu. The food was with us in about 30 minutes and the driver had full PPE equipment. We forgot the portions are so big so we ordered a starter each and a main. We also received free prawn crackers and spring rolls. We were very happy with the portions. I had Malaysian rice with salt and pepper pork and curry sauce. It was a beautiful meal, the rice had fantastic flavours and the quality of the was very good. My husband had the crispy chilli chicken which he enjoyed with rice and some of the salt and pepper pork. We have set some aside for leftovers and we will be looking forward to having them. Great chinese takeaway. It's not one of the cheapest but a great meal.

Love their sweet n sour, whether it's chicken balls or hong kong style, food is always hot and on time. A bit pricy but the food is good and worth a try..

Me and my partner placed our orders for change with these guys and we have waited for over 2hrs for our food. We ordered chicken batter ballz and sweet and sour sauce with i have taken a bite in to my chicken batter ballz thinking there were and turned out to he Prawn which im very allergic to sea food im now head over the toilet coughing up everything and being sick we have been refused a full refund no one is helping us out and now we have tried to call golden house for over 30mins no answer

Best Chinese this side of the river. Delicious and tasty food, always done quickly. Staff are always welcoming and helpful.

Was enjoying it till found a black hair in my food

Taken over from Mr Wangs as the ultimate chinese in Lancaster. Sorry Mr Wang but they are much better. Door to door service in 5 mins.

The girl who answered the phone was extremely rude & put the phone down on me. I rang again to place my order,first confirming she had my correct address. She was quite abrupt & definately has an attitude problem. I was going to ring again & cancel my order but as this was the first time I had ordered from here,I thought I would at least give it a try. I told the very nice delivery man,whose name was Victor,about the attitude of the girl & he said he would tell the boss, also that other people had complained about her. The food was good apart from two completely different dishes I ordered were in the same sauce! It wasn't overly hot,so I did have to reheat in microwave.

Amazing food delivered early was hot, fresh and lovely! I had deep fried prawns not too much batter on it & was crispy and delicious, sweet & sour was gorgeous the chow mein outstanding and house special rice just fantastic, will definitely order again A+++
