This has always been our “first choice’ chip shop even though it is not the closest. What has happened? Collected my order tonight and the food was awful. When i got home we found the chips were hard, solid and undercooked. We tried a few but they were inedible. My order was also incorrect. I feel like I have just put £20 down the drain. No one answering the phone to deal with my complaint. How disappointing….. after many years I need to find a new shop.

I ordered one bag of chips , opened bag at home which had 1 black hair in there , I ordered 2 curry sauces bag had 1 curry sauce and 1 mushy peas which I would of never ordered I don't like mushy peas ! Why are the staff not wearing net hats ?

Massive shout out to Suttons fish bar , we was having a charity event and ovens broke and Suttons fish bar come to the rescue and provided us with amazing chips and also a fantastic price as it was for charity - the owner is always amazing and goes the extra mile . Absolute pleasure to have such a lovely business in the area :)

We pass 3 other fish & chip shops to get to this one as it's easily the best in the area imo A member of the household is also a vegetarian & Halloumi enthusiast & was very impressed by the deep fried Halloumi and also their Greek salad which was 'amazing' by all accounts. I just love the chips

Best chippie in Sutton Coldfield! Always super friendly staff. Food is piping hot, always fresh and extremely generous portions. Although this isn’t my closest chippie, I drive here because I know I’ll be getting a delicious meal every time. Have been going here for years, highly recommend!

Chicken kebab meat vile fatty and slimy. You must have changed suppliers because it used to be lovely. Sorry but you've lost customers. We won't be back. False economy. You should have put price up instead of getting in rubbish "meat" if you can still call it that. Very disappointing.

Ordered a large chips for £3.60 the size was small amd the chips were cold and soggy, for £3.60 people deserve better definitely won't be going again worst chips I have had for a very long time.

Not very happy, been coming here for years and love this chippy but the portion size I cannot believe! £4.20 for this? Donner meat and chips… I have a handful of chips and a few slices of dinner meat. They need to stop using them small white open trays cus this isn’t on… somebody else went for me but if I would of gone I would of told them this is wrong

Chip shop has gone down hill… i used to enjoy eating from here but each time recently has got worse and worse. Chips are dry as anything and hard, kebab is cut so thick I may aswell eat the animal itself. Hardly any sauce given too, the price is high when it used to be decently priced. Will never be coming back here again. A real shame tbh.

Chips cold and greasy, need to change the oil, too many bits of batter over the Chips, standing too long in pan, over priced for a portion, could have bought 10kg of potatoes for the price. Only 2nd time have visited as was passing and thought would drop in, will try again in another 6 months when passing by, perhaps they could use the increased price to buy fresh oils

Had the nuggets and spring rolls. Tasty and quick service. Would recommend.

A nice clean chipshop with excellent customer service however wasn't to my taste. Hot chilli wasn't hot and donner meat was a bit bland for me but I understand its catered for the local area should definitely give it a try to see if it's for you

Tiny tiny portions. Got kebab meat in a tray and hardly any meat! The salad dominated the tray. They need to step up on their portions

Stayed at a hotel nearby and fancied fish and chips so went to Sutton Fish Bar and ordered fish and chips and a sausage. Sausage was OK however it was the worst fish and chips I have ever eaten. Batter on fish was falling off and chips were stale. Obsolutely nasty!

The best fish and chip shop in Sutton. The food is freshly cooked and consistently tasty. The portions are generous and again consistent every visit. The staff are friendly and efficient. Parking can be awkward when very busy, but is worth the hassle for the quality of the food. Highly recommended.

Over priced, small portions & rude staff!! Food is nice enough for what little bit you actually get but the service is appalling! We have been a to this chippy a few times and every time we go the service gets worse! The women serving are all rude & today was the final straw had absolutely appalling service and then to top it off got home half way through eating and there was a black hair in my food. Made me physically sick & it wasn’t my own as it was really in mixed up in my food 🤢 none of the woman are wearing hair nets, health and safety where are you? They have lost a customer! I would rather drive the extra 20 minutes to my old local chippy.

Very small "large" portion of chips. Less than you'd get in a regular portion elsewhere, and they even taste below average.
