Just had dinner there one hour ago and think I have enjoyed the experience there very much! With the food being very very good (obviously), the owner-chef and his wife are extremely friendly and talky.

The sushi here is second to none, it was easily the best sushi I have had yet, and the service is fantastic from the husband and wife. It was definitely worth the hundreds of calls for months to get a reservation! The only disappointing bit for us, unfortunately, was the price, we were shocked to get a £400 bill for 2 when we only had 2 drinks in total. The prices have certainly gone up since covid. Definitely worth a visit (just be aware of the cost as they don't tell you that part!)

There is not a great deal to say about this place that has not already been said. I have not been to Japan yet but it is, equal with a couple of other (more expensive) places the best sushi I have had to date. Getting a reservation was a real battle and took hours of phone calls over many months. Takahashi-san and his wife were superb hosts and the food was basically flawless. Lots of thought went into every little thing.

Amazing experience ! What a wonderful first time... the freshness of the fish was delicious. I'm gonna add this sushi restaurant in my favourite list.

Siéntete muy privilegiado de haber tenido una experiencia en Araki (cuando Araki San todavía estaba allí) y ahora en Tetsu. Vine aquí para el 30 de mi compañero. Ambos amamos el sushi y este fue el mejor que hemos tenido. Cada pieza fue una revelación, con el ooro tornado como el punto culminante de la noche. Dicho esto, todas las advertencias sobre que es casi imposible reservar son completamente precisas. Llamé literalmente 843 veces antes de poder pasar y persistí solo porque era una ocasión tan especial. Definitivamente valió la pena el esfuerzo, pero para una experiencia única en lugar de una cena regular. ¡Hay un sushi casi tan bueno en Londres que es mucho más accesible!

Hats off to Sushi Tetsu! The Omakase Experience is the one to beat. Each piece was a work of art. Great service (very rare in London!) and fabulous food. Definitely expensive, but worth it.

If you have watched Jiro sushi on Netflix. This is probably about as close as you get to it. Only a few seats available in each seating and it is probably one of the hardest place to get a table in London due to the number of seats available. Believe it or not there are only 7 seats available in one seating. They still use the old telephone to take bookings and you only can select the exact time slots available. You cannot sit later or come earlier. Limited to 3 hours per slot. I believe there is a minimum order of £50 per person and food is also non-shareable (you can't steal your friend's food!). I find it a bit restrictive and too many rules but given the number of seats I suppose they have to find a way to survive. The process in making the sushi up until it is served to your plate is like an art performance and everyone enjoys watching the chef performs. I think everyone should try this place at least once as the sushi is beautifully made but I feel that this is more of a come once type of place just to experience as it is extremely hard to book and there is a minimum £50 price. I also don't recall the quality is so much crazy superior that I must come here to get my sushi all the time. I came here some time ago but I don't find myself having to come back that quickly.

The most recent review of Sushi Tetsu said it was ‘a nice experience with family’. Given how it took literally hundreds of calls over several weeks to even get 2 seats, I’m mystified at what you’d have to do to get a family in! And ‘nice’?!! This was the most outstandingly delicious, creative, fresh sashimi and sushi we have ever had the privilege to enjoy. The whole experience is educational too - watching the chef prepare everything, you learn from him and his wife which flavours accompany which fish, the order in which to eat things, how important rice temperature is..... I could go on. Just move heaven and earth to try to get a seat here. This is bucket list territory.

Managed to get a booking at Sushi Tetsu which is no mean feat! The hundreds of calls to get a booking made it all worth while to experience Sushi Tetsu. Only 7 places / seating available and the food is served over 3 hours with the sushi chef preparing each dish in front of us. The food & service is superb and though not cheap it is well worth the money spent.

I'm a huge sushi fan and this place has the best sushi I have ever tasted. Will be back again for sure.

We had the pleasure of dining at sushi Tetsu for my partners birthday and it was the most amazing dining either of us have ever encountered. As soon as we were taken through the curtain we knew we were about to experience something incredible! Watching the display of our dinner being made right in front of us was an art with so much care and consideration was put into the creation of each piece, it was an honour to taste such high quality sushi and sashimi. The restaurant itself was so intimate, we really felt like we had been welcomed into their home. A dinner that we won’t ever forget, thank you.

Puedo ver por qué hay una gran demanda y es casi imposible hacer una reserva. Propietario y personal amigables, que sirven una gran experiencia de sushi. Teníamos Omakase, y creo que en total eran 15 piezas, pero cada una era única por sí misma. Enhorabuena al chef que definitivamente ha elevado la experiencia de comer para el cliente. Definitivamente regresaría de nuevo, si logro obtener una reserva.

Tetsu is unrivalled. Toru-san has a supreme attention to detail and watching him work is like watching a master attend to his canvas. Despite his mastery of the food Toru and his wife who works the front of house are humble and attentive. You will feel like you are eating the best sushi of your life surrounded by family. A true gem and worth however many calls it takes you to secure a prized reservation.

No restaurant in the world is more infuriating to make a reservation at. If you call at 11:00 on the dot like they ask you to do on the Monday the week before you still won’t get a resy. Dumb rules. Update your system to take first come first serve not call 200 times to see if you get through.

The whole evening was like a performance, watching the chef prepare the raw fish with drops of this there and a flick or a grate of something was like a true artiste creating. The food was utterly delicious, the atmosphere superb, you are able to chat with the chef who answers any questions you may have about the food. The front of house is managed by the chefs wife and it was really j,k,:interesting talking to her. In fact all the guests were chatting to each other by the end. It only seats 7 and is certainly not cheap for a set menu but if you want unforgettable sushi this is the place.

This is a gem. A small and simple sushi bar (counter for only 7 people), which results in a time consuming and difficult booking process. (For me this was part of the challenge; I would not be deterred in my quest to find a decent and authentic Japanese Sushi restaurant in London). A simple multi-course Omakase style meal of sashimi and sushi was served, just as one would have in Japan. None of the "derivative" Japanese food that one finds everywhere in London's is served here.

Fuera de Japón, no creo que haya tenido comida de este tipo tan buena como esta. Es uno de esos lugares en los que no cenas a menudo, pero cuando lo haces es siempre una comida memorable. Ahorre y vaya para una ocasión especial: aniversario, cumpleaños o simplemente disfrute de un trabajo bien hecho. Buena comida, buen ambiente y muy divertido.

Fantastic fresh fish, intimate atmosphere as the restaurant allows for max. 8 guests, friendly conversations with the Sushi Master. Creatively composed dishes, and the price-to-quality ratio was on point. However, difficult to obtain a reservation.

If you like sushi you are at the right place, servis is good but little bit slow. Food is perfect and ambiet is nice, just waiters need to smile little bit more pleaseeee :)

Not only a restaurant but an amazing experience! it felt we were invited into their home and welcomed more as friends than customers. The sushi was fantastic with traditional and more innovative pieces (the seared fatty tuna was amazing!). We also ordered some glasses of sake that were delicious. Watching the chef cutting the fish, grating fresh wasabi and perfectly assembling each piece of sushi was mesmerizing. Many many thanks also to Harumi (chef's wife and maitre) for making our night even more enjoyable with her conversations!

We had bday dinner with some friends and it was a wonderful experience. Fish was fresh and sashimi was just melting in a mouth. Service was great maybe even a bit overattentive. Wonderful place to go!

I went along with my husband and brother in law and we had a fantastic evening. The sushi was amazing and nothing like the stuff that's cold and hard from being in a fridge all day. It was pure theatre to watch the chef at work, he is plainly a genius. His wife was so warm and friendly and chatted to us during the evening. This is a restaurant where personal service exists. It was like being transported to Japan!!! I thought the omakase menu was real value for money when you see the work that goes into preparing it. GO HERE NOW!!!

Siendo considerada como la número uno en Londres es un restaurante japonés no era fácil, normalmente no comprar este tipo de cosas, pero nos arriesgamos y no mirar atrás. Créeme cuando digo que este restaurante no está sobrevalorado, en realidad es increíblemente bueno, y el ambiente sólo realza la experiencia.

Esta noche fue mi primera visita a Tetsu Sushi pero sin duda no será la última, la comida es impresionante. Es un placer ver el trabajo de chef y el personal era atento y encantador, este fue uno de los más agradable comedor experiencias que había tenido en mucho tiempo, estoy deseando hacer otra reserva en agosto.
