Sushi Daily Welwyn Garden City in Welwyn Hatfield

It’s a really lovely pub with fantastic bar members and it’s such a shame to lower my reviev but the young DJ they have on Friday is absolutely rubbish. Not only he wants to play his set of music no one vibes with to but tells you to take a walk when you walk something you knew everyone would like. In the end he’s all there to get with girls and waited for a while for a clear moment with my friend. Not the Friday we have imagined and waiting for two hours for decent song? Pretty bad for a DJ to play songs just for himself…

Used to order from here and it used to be good. But ordered food last night and me and my mother were disgusted. Sambal prawns tasted bitter and were inedible, they also had raw Okra in it. The beef rendang was also so salty that it was inedible and we had to bin it. The beef ho fun was nice but the beef was tough and inedible, the only thing they didn’t screw up was the rice. We called to try and sort it out with the restaurant and the woman was so rude. She tried to blame it on me because I put “No coriander” in the order comments as I have an allergy and always write this in case it is used before ordering Asian food. She then made an excuse to say that the flavour was that way due to the peppers in the dish (there were no peppers, only raw okra which is weird). We can only come to the conclusion that the chefs mistaken Okra for peppers 🤷🏻‍♀️ Their attitudes were just complacent and rude and another guy even said, “If it is too salty, eat more rice with it”. We were offered 2 free dishes for our next order but with that attitude, I won’t bother. Just wasted nearly £35 for food that had to be binned. Avoid!

All I can say is it was excellent definitely go again , I'd been once before and was impressed, so take my sister and her husband today. When I booked the assistant was so kind and understanding of my needs. We were so well looked after it was like visiting family. And the food was very yummy. At brilliant prices. Will definitely recommend my friends thank you staff at the Red Lion ❤️🙂

Such a lovely family meal…great ambience on a Sunday night. Fresh tasty food. Great mix of music with friendly staff.

Pleasant venue to eat with good food at a reasonable price. We will certainly have return visits to this restaurant.
