Sarah Was Rude, Food Was Raw, Horrible Place To Eat At.

If you’re craving top-notch fish and chips, Lotus Fish Bar is an absolute must-visit. From the moment I walked in, the warm, welcoming atmosphere set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. I ordered the classic fish and chips, and I have to say, it was phenomenal. The fish was perfectly golden, crisp on the outside yet soft and flaky on the inside. You could tell it was freshly prepared, with that light, melt-in-your-mouth texture you only find at the best places. The chips were exactly how they should be: hot, thick-cut, and just the right amount of seasoning. But what really made my visit stand out was the service. The owner’s son, Justin, who was helping out, was so polite and respectful. He took the time to chat with me and made sure everything was perfect, from the temperature of the food to little details like extra napkins. It’s rare to see such genuine hospitality from a man of such young age! He even offered to finish my leftover fish so I didn’t feel bad for wasting it. Justin made me feel like a valued guest rather than just another customer. Lotus Fish Bar doesn’t just serve food – it creates a memorable experience and I can’t recommend it highly enough!

As soon as I set my eyes on this wonderful establishment whilst driving down the street, I knew it would be my new favourite spot. When walking inside, I was greeted by a curtain of fresh, fishy smells which tickled my fancy. What stood out to me most was the kind-hearted nature of the staff as they initially greeted me as Sir, before embarking in an engaging convesation about the rich history of this establishment. The food was slightly hit-or-miss with the chips being slightly soggy but the fish was wonderfully crisp. To anyone reading this review, I thoroughly recommend Lotus Fish Bar

As soon as I stumbled upon this establishment after a rough night with my Mrs, my eyes lit up with awe. I walked in and was greeted with the crisp, mesmerising aroma of fresh silky haddock and cod. My mouth instantly became wet. Whilst the food wasn’t the best ever, it certainly did the job! To make things even better, I was able to speak with the delightful owner, who’s cheerful and polite son served me my food. Such a lovely family business and the staff are fab. I will be returning within the next month👍

I entered into this establishment and was instantly met with a warm hug from the succulent fish on display in front of me. Then this wonderful women greeted me and walked me through there lovely menu. To put a long story into a bottle and ship it away, this place was amazing - succulent, wet fish and VIBRANT curry sauce created a lovely flavour. Restaurant was clean and well kept - will be visiting again, think I found my new spot!!! (P.s. the son was a snack in himself, cowabunga!!!)

I had been having a rough day. When I entered this restaurant establishment I was met with lovely aromas of fish and chips and curry sauce. as the first flake of fish entered my mouth, I was euphoric!

Excellent takeaway that we use regularly! Lovely crispy batter and huge portions of tasty chips. Would recommend!!

As soon as i walked in i knew this was my new favourite fish and chips shop, the lady presented me with very kind mannerisms, she asked me how my day was and we ended up becoming best friends, we bonded over the recent death of both of our dogs and i never quite had that chat with anyone before so it felt good, the food itself is a 7/10 but i think talking to the staff alone is a good reason to visit Lotus Fish Bar.

Curry sauce and chips the best ever

I’m one for supporting local businesses and I also actively patronise them… As part of my Saturday gastronomy hobby, I choose to visit a new café every weekend. Entering the Lotus was a 50:50 thing as it was deserted and looked almost abandoned. As a summary, I wasn’t impressed by the ambiance, the food was just average but the down side was the cleanliness and tidiness. I could see food droppings, cutlery and plastic bottle caps from last night (we hope). To cap it up, I suffered a rush to the loo barely 30 mins after dinning. Needless to say, I won’t be recommending this eatery or even thinking of returning. That’s all.

Only pop in a few times ? at first I thought great tasting food ? but seems they are going down hill ? This was the best chip shop around ? The chips tasted stale and the curry sauce ? you might as well served me with water with a hint of curry yes thick curry sauce but no taste at all ? I will not be returning
