Booked an early table straight from work as we usually do. Haven’t been in for a couple of weeks and the flavour of the food was like a memory foam and had me questioning as to why we’d left it so long since our last visit. The prices are very reasonable and WOW do they make you feel welcome!!!

Suruchi ha cambiado ahora las manos y se llama Mehek. El lugar ha sido transformado. Fabuloso ambiente y decoración. La comida era fresca y sabrosa. No grasienta comida india aquí! Bien merece una visita. Así que me alegro este lugar tiene en el buen camino.

Desde el momento en que fuimos a suruchi bromley sabíamos que íbamos a tener una velada encantadora. El personal es muy amable y atento, sin ser agobiante. La comida es fantástica. Sabores maravillosa y la cantidad perfecta. El ambiente era relajado. Sin duda se lo recomiendo a mis amigos y esperamos nuestra próxima visita.

Los clientes bien hemos estado largo tiempo shapala, sin embargo en los últimos meses las normas realmente empezó a resbalar, así que era tiempo de encontrar otro nuevo. Decidimos darle una oportunidad en sus Mehek semana de apertura después de ver todos los trabajos de renovación. Pedimos comida para llevar para aprox. 10 personas para un cumpleaños. Nos llamó para realizar el pedido y explicó esta fue nuestra primera vez con ellos y que era una ocasión especial, sin presión, entonces! A la ocasión de Mehek con uno de los mejores indio que que he tenido. Todo era tan fragante y sabrosa no grasienta. Los platos de gambas vino con suculentos langostinos grandes. Mi cordero era liberar a la boca. El Shish Kebabs estaban llenos de hierbas frescas, como ninguno de los que he probado, pero de lejos, el mejor. También arrojaban en algunos extras como era un cumpleaños solo pensé que era tan encantador y añadió un toque personal. Gracias Mehek, volveremos pronto!

Food was absolutely delicious, every time I have ordered the quality has been to a high standard. Order was delivered at precisely the time they said it would be.

In terms of the food it was very nice, however we were extremely disappointed with the delivery time. Estimated delivery time was stated as 19:55 however it did not arrive until 20:20. We would like to order from them again in terms of the food quality but would be reluctant due to the delivery times.

My first visit with a friend.one of us went ed to go to the shapla,but after my visit on Friday 16th September to shapla.on that day only two waiters and not the normal five.very very poor.anyway I can say we injured the food at suruchi,service was first class.we were not rushed.the bill had no hidden extras,unlike shapla it's there trade mark.shame on Mr Ahmed of shapla.we shall book the Xmas party here.

Friendly staff, great food, really affordably priced menu. Can't beat it. Wednesday nights they do a special offer of £10 for a starter, main, and two sides. Can't beat it.

We have been to eat in the restaurant and have take aways from Suruchis on a regular basis since they opened.The food is always great and very flavoursome. The staff are always very friendly and willing to explain any of the dishes.

I had asked for my delivery to be at 21:10 however received the food a lot earlier. That is the only reason it isn't 5 stars!

The Masala Dosas were inedible. It seemed like the cook - I can't call them a chef, had made one very attempt at a dosa and halved it. One small coconut chutney between two, The sambar was bland, the filling mercifully forgettable. The worst aspect was the dosa itself - I have never tasted such an unpleasant pancake - frankly the WORST dosa I have ever had - and I've eaten a lot of dosas. I phoned to complain and to be fair the man who answered offered some free food, but our appetites had been ruined by the dosa experience. An offer of a refund would have been welcome but was not made. The other dishes were unexceptional but at least edible. I cannot in all conscience recommend this restaurant - it used to be quite good, but I can't see myself ordering from there again, so the offer of free food on another occasion was superfluous. I hope I feel OK in the morning...My advice is to avoid - if you have had a better recent experience, I am pleased for you - but I really strongly suggest you don't try the Masala Dosa. £21 I won't see again..I hope.

The sag paneer has changed. I had it at the restaurant and it was fantastic, but I ordered many sag paneers last week having prognosticated that they would be as delicious as my meal in the restaurant however they were not. Thus my friends and I were quite displeased. I don't understand what's happened to the sag paneer.

Great food and a reasonable price. The gents toilets, however are disgusting! Someone has punched two holes in the door, the floor looks filthy and the windows were very dirty.

The popadoms from the order which we paid for were missing. We've ordered before from this restaurant and everything has always been great. Hope the missing item was due to busy times.

Delicious food - absolutely esquisite. Quite a bit more oil in the curry this time but otherwise fresh, delicious, and lovingly presented - thanks for the extras! Will order again (and again).

Absolutely brilliant meal. Visited on a busy Friday night, bust served very quickly even with the rush around of waiters. Ordered the tandoori chicken and was the best I've had. Lovely service and very good price. Would go again and advise anyone in Barnet to visit!

Tried this place out as I kept seeing it whilst stuck in traffic passing through ... food is really poor quality . Had lamb tikka to start which seemed to go on forever as it was so chewy and tasteless ! Had chicken tikka masala main dish and it was Terrible to say the least. The sauce was without doubt a can of soup with a few spices added but not enough to disguise the soupy taste . The rest of the side dishes were ok but nothing to shout about . Won't be going back. Always a good (albeit sometimes quite slow) delivery. Teriyaki chicken and katsu prawns are delish.

Food was horrible. Insanely hot when menu said medium, poppadums were stale and came with weird sauces, bhajees were like soggy dough.

Have been here loads of times and had a really cheap and excellent meal. Tonight the meal for 4 of us came to £100. Much more than normal. I have ALWAYS been offered a complimentary liqueur......not tonight. We waited and waited and finally realised that it wasnt going to happen! Shame. It was those little touches that made all the difference!

Suruchi's was recommended to me by a friend from work when I moved to the area. I have now been three times since and have had a fantastic experience each time. The staff are extremely attentive and very helpful when deciding what food to order In all honesty I have only been there on Wednesdays - purely because of a deal they have on. They offer you a starter, main, side dish, rice or naan and a tea or coffee to finish for an incredible £9.95pp. It really is unbeatable. Particularly love their starters!! It is everything you look for when going out for a nice meal out. They are very adaptable and swap things if requested. I will continue to come here. Have already brought friends and family. I have been a reoccurring customer with this restaurant and felt very disappointed with the quality of food when it was delivered. The food was cold, the chicken was quite hard and they provided one popadom between two meals. Really disappointed and will not be recommending to family and friends.

Went to Suruchi last night with friends, the atmosphere was lovely, and the staff very welcoming and so friendly. The food was amazing! Definitely the best curry I've ever had! There was so many different and interesting things on the menu, can't wait to go back to try something else. They do takeaways too, with delivery.

If you ever find yourself in Barnet on Wednesday night with a bit of an appetite,head for Suruchi.The food is imaginative and beautifully cooked;the stsff are unfailingly courteous and helpful,and the atmosphere is warm and intimate.Prices are extremely reasonable,but Wednesday is particularly good value, as they have a special deal which includes a starter,a main course with side dish served with either rice or naan for a ridiculous £9.99..I've learned to be wary of such meal deals,for often the portions are miniscule and you need a microscope to find the meat,Not here, though The helpings are extremely generous,and despite the high quality of the food,you'll do well to clear your plate,I can't recommend this place too highly.

Everything was stale and lacking in flavour. Rotis were cold and hard so don't imagine they were freshly made (as you would expect from any decent Indian takeaway). Weirdest tasting saag paneer I've ever had. Sat here now with a belly full of regret. Defo will not be ordering from here again.

Have been twice recently and the food here is great, really tasty and fresh. All four people I was with said the same. The added bonus of Dosa's too! The table are really nicely laid with crisp white table cloths and candles, some other bits of the restaurant are a bit rough round the edges - the toilets especially, but I can live with that! I love that it is BYO. It just seems a bit of a shame it's not more busy to add a bit more atmosphere. The food is fantastic!

Was in London for the weekend, and I absolutely adore Indian food, have got to say this was one of the best Indian meals I have ever had, staff especially MUJ was very attentive, this place was a hidden treasure and I can't wait to return here.

I had not been here for a while as we are spoilt for choice in Barnet for Indian restaurants but I would say definately one of the better ones. I really like the feel of the place, it feels like a proper restaurant with nice table clothes and crockery and the food is really good too. The one negative I had was the service was slow and considering it wasn't very busy may put me off a return visit at a more popular time. However, we were given free poppadoms, onion bhajis and a free drink at the end of the meal which made up for the slowness in service.

Been to much better places in the Barnet area. Could do better. No atmosphere and food was cold, but service was good.

My husband, very elderly mother I visited Suruchi''s in Barnet this week. Although it was quite early & mid week the restaurant was very busy, however this did not stop the staff from being attentive & friendly. All of our meals were excellent & I was particularly happy with my vegetarian Masala Dosa. We were given complimentary popadums with 4 amazing dips plus the most delicious onion bahjis I have ever eaten. At the end of the meal we were given hot towels, After Eight chocolates & offered a complimentary drink each, all this for a fraction of the price we usually pay for an indifferent Indian meal elsewhere. We travelled from East London to visit Suruchi's & the trip was well worth while. We were regular customers at their original Islington restaurant from when it first opened over 20 years ago & were delighted none of their high standards had slipped. If you want to eat authentic Indian food & not the normal everyday curry house fare, make the effort & head to see them in Barnet, we certainly will.

We waited an hour and a half between the starter and main. The main was only brought out after we questioned why it was taking so long and then it arrived immediately! The spirits were watered down, and we ended up spending more on drinks than food!...would definitely not visit again!

We come here regularly with a group of friends for their wednesday 'banquet night' which offers unbelievable value.Amazingly tasty food and great service with the waiters taking their time to make recommendations if you arent sure what to have.You really cant beat it in the local area.

Food was 25 minutes late. No explanation as paid delivery charge. Ordered as advertised "traditional thali" however was a complete let down. Food was not traditional in the slightest. Very english orientated food. Also tasteless. Do not recommend

I visit Suruchi regularly. I personally think its the best tasting indian in Barnet. The staff are also very accommodating and you feel at ease when dining. I recommend the Lamb Xacutti... Lovely

We have eaten at many Indian restaurants over many years and this is the one of the best. Prices are good and the food is fresh cooked and delicious. They have many regular customers which says a lot about the quality and taste of the food. We have always found the waiters friendly and helpful. If you are in North London and like Indian food you won't be disappointed if you eat there.

Just a proper old-fashioned and perfectly balanced Indian. Ever so slightly rude waiter, but I think thats more the 'Indian manner' and actually he probably had no intention to come across like that. Food was to die for, decor was traditional, and beer was icy cold.

Food was delicious and is served in a nice cozy atmosphere. We had 3 courses and very much enjoyed the classic Chicken TIkka masala served with one of the best coconut nan, garlic nan is also very tasty. Pricing is fair and service is quick. What I enjoyed the most of this restaurant is the freshness of the food, the size of the restaurant - lighted with care - the intimacy and the courtesy of the staff. In the summer there is also a nice outdoor terrace.

One of the best Indian meals I have had regardless of eat in or takeaway - plus of all places, its in Barnet!!!! The Non-Veg Thali is a must try for any meat lover. Great atmosphere, value for money, friendly staff, there are always people inside which to me is a great indication of a good restaurant otherwise why would they be there?! What else could you want :o) You must go as you will not be disappointed. when I have been I have had no issues with the service or waiters, in fact I foudn them very helpful - now it could be because i am been a few times, I don't know but do go and try and see for yourself.

I visited this restaurant on the evening of Wednesday 2nd December. We were three and did not have a reservation but were seated immediately. We ordered and enjoyed a very nice selection of food. However I felt the waiters were lacking in attention. They seamed very interested in talking to each other. We still had a very pleasant evening. The bill for 3 people with a few beers came to a fraction under £60. With a lot of competition in Barnet and close by they need to up their game. I may not return.
