Decided to have a nice family night for two, ordered a simple order of 2 small portions of fish and chips with garlic sauce. Simple enough right? But, They forgot our order and after an hour of waiting and wondering what was happening, we rang, rather than be honest they had forgotten our order they said ''we'll get it to you now.'' even though by their hours, their shop had been closed for 20 minutes, delivery man got here, handed us an absolute insult of food, they had scraped the last remainders of the day that would normally be either thrown out or used for batter bits and gave us each a tiny piece of tail with 5% batter in it, cold chips to boot. We were so annoyed we rang again to express we would rather they had just been upfront and offered a refund, or at the very least, partial refund but all we got was a perplexing and insincere ''well have you eaten much of it. Oh, I'm sorry.'' before saying goodbye. This is people's money and a terrible reflection on your business!! Don't order from here!

went here last month for a quick treat at lunchtime , piping hot and super portions and absolutely delicious ! served by friendly staff and the place is superbly clean ! will definitely visit here again ! good prices at value for money

My nephew collected a small fish, curry sauce and chips for me, yesterday. The fish was not so much small as infinitesimal, and it was hidden under a pile of chips that were a bit hard. Not value for money. Won't ever go there again.

Beautiful haddock today as usual ! Perfectly cooked fish and batter great chips all worth travelling for

the delivery person here leaves a lot to be desired, after waiting for a hour i heard a car door slam shut and on looking out saw a car drive away from my door , my delivery had been left at my front door but nobody knocked the door or rang the bell or in fact made sure i received the delivery , i phoned to complain and was told oh i will tell him , disgusting service from what used to be the best chippy in this town

Fresh food cooked just as you want it with friendly staff. A good variety of food offered and when asked for something cooked well it was no problem at all.

Fish and chips. Portions good. Cooked fresh - so a short wait. Too much salt on the fish - salt should go on the chips, then add the fish, otherwise you get salty fish.

I've gone to Surjan's for years - and was disappointed when the original shop changed hands - BUT there back - the original family and I'm please with all the original ways and care of cooking I know and love. If you want the best Pizza in Blyth there may be better (slightly), but if your after a mix of things they they can't be beat!! Awesome food at an awesome price point. I have two benchmark Pizzas and Surjan's hot and spicy is one of them. The other belongs to a competitor - sorry!! I love their Meal Deals and it will be hard to beat the value for money. I travel quite a way and pass a lot of scimilar places and never stop because they just can't be beat for what they do! I order and it's always ready for when I get there - a 30 min journey. I'm an @rse when it comes to good food and I'm spoiled - I have had the the best all over the country, been to some amazing restaurants, I scour the country for "the best", have friends who are extremely accomplished chefs and my wife thought I was nuts when I introduced her to Surjan's! She agrees with me now!! You just can't go wrong with Surjan's! Just order in advance if your in a hurry - remember they do fish and chips so pizzas may take a little longer than a true pizza shop. We ordered chicken tikka kebab and chips for the first time. The chicken tasted like it was yesterday’s chicken and there was no tikka flavour. The chips were okay. Overall it was one of the worst kebabs I’ve ever had.

The food is excellent. The portions are large and everything is well cooked. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I often order on line.

The best fish and chips I've had in years! Ordered large fish and chips to share with my husband. When I opened the box said we'll never eat all this! Oh but we did, it was delicious. Lovely fish in amazing batter.

Had a child’s portion for myself and daughter and wow the cod bites were huge and the chips lovely too. Good value and very tasty too.

Been a few times and always fresh,lovely tasty chips. Always share with my mam because big portions! About time we had a good chippy in town. well done!

The shop was almost empty but yet I had to wait nearly half an hour just for a pizza and chips one of the staff members are actually extremely ignorant and don’t listen to what you order please Chang your ways
