Georguse food I had sweet and sour chicken and went down so quick my mums never seen me eat so much. It was lovely a deff visit for food if your in the area.

Very nice but very busy Chinese within walking distance of holiday home.

We love our Chinese food and this is one of the best takeaways we’ve had.

Don't order salt and pepper chips from here, it's just a portion of chips with some salt and pepper sprinkled on 🙄 the odd thing is, the salt and pepper chicken was served normally with onions, peppers, chilli etc. So they know how to make it, just choose not to for some reason. I should have looked at the reviews on here first!

Quite possibly the worst Chinese takeaway I've ever had.The sweet and sour chicken balls and sauce were practically inedible,chips were nice though. Won't be going back.

Quick service, friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Food tasted good. Prawn crackers thin and crispy. Would recommend the green pepper and black bean chicken or the chicken chow mein.

Really not great food. I had the king prawn and cashew dish which I've had at other Chinese eateries. This is probably the worst version I've ever tried. Completely tasteless, the carton was full of onions and bamboo shoots with just a few prawns and cashews. I expect they cater for the tourists (which we were) and don't care if you don't go back... Which we wouldn't.

Wonderful food and staff the atmosphere was spectacular 100% recommend the prawn omelette

Honestly the worst Chinese takeaway I’ve ever had food wise. The sweet and sour chicken balls were doughy, soggy and tasted like flour. Passed round various people, no one wanted to eat more than half of one. The salt and pepper chips are just salty chips? There’s no veg, only a hint of spices. They don’t taste bad but they are not salt and pepper chips. Egg fried rice is fine but very bland. The service was fast and friendly and the food was cooked quickly. The prices are reasonable enough.

Got two meals last night within one bite everything got binned. Sweet and sour chicken & chips chicken balls weren't cooked long enough, batter still soggy chicken very chewy, never buying from here again.

Ordered chicken in black bean sauce the sauce was very thin and no flavour. The chicken was tough. Crispy chilli beef was tough.

Quick, friendly service. We had sesame prawn toast, king prawn curry and hong kong sweet and sour chicken. Prawn toast was double the portion we get in our home local takeaway and much cheaper..it was tasty and not greasy. Main portions were generous and very tasty and because chips or rice were included in the price it was a very good deal. Well done to you all.

This has to have been the worst Chinese we have ever had , the sauce was like gloop with so much food colouring and as the flavour we could make it out , but it didn’t taste great .

Came here for a takeaway meal for the family, food was very good staff very pleasant and helpful only negative it is cash only.

Absolutely and categorically the worst Chinese takeaway I've ever had. Singapore Chow Mein with Chips, the noodles were dry and stuck together, the chicken and pork were thin strips where they needed five or more pieces to achieve a mouthful and I've also never seen midget prawns before!. The chips were overcooked with no potato just pieces of greasy shards. I will never set foot in this establishment again, I'm absolutely convinced i could of went on Beadnell beach, gathered some seaweed and cooked in garlic butter and it would of been better than this....so so disappointing.

Was a bit wary of using this place due to some of the recent negative views but I needn't have worried. We got Singapore Chow Mein and Sweet & Sour Chicken balls with chips. The food was very nice with no complaints at all. It maybe cost a little more than what it does at home (West Yorkshire) but other than that, no complaints. Would definitely use again.

Worst chinese meal we have ever ordered. Ordered salt and pepper wings the chicken was tough not cooked enough. The prawn toast tasted greasy. Lemon chicken was the main meal once again the chicken was extremely tough. The lemon sauce was thick and congealed. I would not use this takeaway again.

As Chinese Takeaway's go, I think this is a good one. Plenty of veg in the meal & not too costly. The Hot & Sour Soup & the Chop Suey Roll were both particularly nice. Is cash only, but worth it.

Disappointed. Beef chow main, very salty. Beef curry & chips, very boring. Beef, curry & onions. Very plain and chips were hard. Would I recommend. Noooooooo. Only had this meal as nothing else was open. Won't use again.👎👎

Very fatty and few spare ribs. Precious little pork in Char sui fried rice. Not good. Advice is to avoid.

We always pay a visit (or 2) when on our hols in Seahouses, and this time was no exception. We'd seen a dish on their Facebook page that we decided to try for a change, I had Roast pork in chilli and garlic sauce and my wife had the beef version, we had it with egg fried rice and some noodles, and it was delicious, very very tasty without being mouth burning hot, ( as some chilli dishes can be), the egg fried rice was as good as usual as were the noodles. The lady on the counter was friendly and polite. Look forward to our next visit.

Excellent good service very tasty food

On holiday and bought twice from Seahouses Chinese Takeaway. Lovely food both times. Particularly recommend the Hot & Sour soup, which is a personal favourite. Just wish I could get it back home!

Very poor quality and very expensive

Great food, quick service, all orders correct. Only comment is that chow mein dishes were a bit salty, fine for some of us but not the younger ones. All in all good and would recommend - thanks!

Visited whilst stopping in Bamburgh. Visited on a Sunday night got served straight away. Food was very tasty would certainly order again.

Nice flavours, but why use the cheapest of the cheap cuts of frozen chicken? Just use chicken! Also, why don't they take card payment? Didn't notice dinosaur stir-fry on the menu?

Had 4 Starters between 2. Ribs in Hoisin were very good, Salt and Pepper Chicken equally so. The Chop Suey Roll was huge and took me back to my youth (quite a long journey 😂) and Prawn Toast was, well, Prawn Toast. All in all, very good indeed.

Friendly staff, good portions. I especially recommend the hot and sour soup.

I was going to order a takeaway but having read the reviews I decided not too and just ordered salt and pepper chips and well what a con!!! £3 for basically chips with a tub of salt poured in the bag this is not Salt and pepper chips! So glad I didn’t waste my money on a big order. Strange as you would think being the only Chinese for miles you would like to be very good!

Nothing wrong with it at all. Read a few reviews that were negative. Locals were using it and that is a good sign. Pub grub prices have shot up in the area and this provides an alternative at a reasonable price.

Saturday evening during half term week tried to call and order for over an hour…….. closed……. thanks for not even bothering to leave a recorded message to say so🙁

Not good at all. Crispy Beef was so soggy i couldnt eat it. Prawn toast was greasy and overcooked. Chop suey roll was tastless. It was very large...too big for an appetiser. Rice was nice, chips ok

Just picked up a takeaway and was dissapointed. Prawn toast with no prawns but lots of sesame seeds. Chop Mein with no noodles, just a small container of pork, onions, bean sprouts and gravy. And no prawn crackers (usually provided free) £29+ Tried to call back but engaged.

I have had worse but they seem to use too much tofu in their soup and put gravy on dry noodles yuk.

Not a good meal. The special curry was watery and had 4 small pieces of beef and 4 prawns, covered over with lots of onions and mushrooms. The mushrooms were not mentioned on menu, as I wouldn't have got it, as I can't eat them. A special is supposed to be mixed meat not just 2. To say it cost £8.50 I could have done better getting a microwave meal from coop and felt more satisfied. The soft noodle portion was tiny. I think the Chinese is overpriced for the tiny portions and lack of meat.

Our visit to Seahouses isn’t complete until we’ve had a Chinese from here 😁 Consistently good food, and decent portion sizes. Just a shame it’s cash only, esp in covid times when I’m rarely carrying actual money.

Very good but strange that you get rice as part of the meal, what it you wanted a different rice?

Disappointing takeaway ! Duck was nice as was the kungpo chicken. However the chow mein and Singapore noodles tasted and looked like they were from the day before.

Really really very good, probably the best Chinese we've had in years. Even better than our regular back home, and everyone loves their regular. If you're in the area and fancy a Chinese, definitely worth visiting! Had the ribs with hoi sin (very big meaty ribs, meat fell off the bones and tasted great) chop suey roll (huge and one per portion with good filling) salt and pepper chicken wings (SO GOOD - just wish they did squid too, but unfortunately not) Hong Kong style sweet and sour chicken (really nice flavour, big tray, lots of chicken, not too sweet) chicken in satay (small tray, again plenty of chicken, great flavour). All the food tasted so good so had to leave a review, happy and friendly staff too, definitely worth a visit!

Food was excellent and was probably one of the best Chinese takeaways I have had in terms of quality. Thought the chips were nice contrary to one of the reviews from a few weeks ago! One thing to note is the portion sizes are smaller than you would typically expect so one main portion may not be enough to share.

Food was OK, prices are a bit higher than expected with very good service

Just before the second lockdown started we decided to have a few days. One of the nights we decided we would treat ourselves to a Chinese takeaway. As the Chinese takeaway at Seahouses was the nearest to go to, we phoned and ordered our meals from the online menu. On arrival very thing was running smoothly considering the covid rules, we had to queue outside until we could go in as only one allowed in the shop, which wasn’t a problem and could only be expected, very covid safe. Waited a few minutes outside and inside to collect our meals. The staff we really nice and friendly especially the lady who served me considering how busy they were and the new covid rules they have to follow. We had Spare ribs with Hoisin sauce and Chop Suey Rolls they were both absolutely delicious. I had Cantonese Sweet and Sour Pork Hong Kong style and my husband had Beef in Green Pepper and Black Bean sauce. Paid extra to have fried rice which was worth it. The portions were very generous and the food tasted delicious very well cooked. One of the best takeaways we have had from any Chinese Takeaway, good value for money wouldn’t hesitate to go back after lockdown is over.

I don't understand how you can get sweet and sour wrong, but they did. It was horrible and bitter. They do have a monopoly as they are the only ones in town.

Very bland food. Ordered chicken fried rice. Basically got egg fried rice with some chicken. No spring onions or any other vegetables or sauce. Disappointing unfortunately.

For a small village Chinese the food was OK. Its not gourmet but if you want a takeaway while down in Seahouses there is only fish and chips and this plus one Indian. We had kung po king prawns, doesn't taste at all like kung po but the prawns were nicely cooked and sauce decent. The best thing was salt and pepper wings. The chicken chow mein was just about OK, the chicken itself was not well flavoured. I guess its hard for Chinese in small villages to cook to high standards as most people want chop suey with curry sauce and chips, it must be a bit soul destroying.

Absolutely loved the meals we got from here last night, King prawn curry with rice was outstanding, the best curry I have had in a longtime, Kung Po chicken with egg fried rice ordered by husband was the best. I give 5 starts +, highly recommended, would love fortune cookies to finish a perfect meal, will be back again.

Been going there for about 4 years and about 1/2 the time they forget something off the list or they do the food rather poorly, I got salt and chilli chips and the salt and chilli chicken, on one hand the chicken I have few complaints about but on the other hand the salt and chilli chips were horrible they had way too much salt on them and barley any chilli meaning there was no spice and it was like getting normal chips. Yet I would recommend this Chinese takeaway as my family always get outstanding food. Giving it a 3 star purely for the fact they have forgotten items off my order in the past and I didnt enjoy my food.

I've give it 5* for my husband as he loves the chicken curry...and he has visited the place for a number of years.

Extremely slow waited an hour in the shop, still got order wrong...visited a few times food very good or very poor never consistent..

Seahouses is a touristy area. Needless to say, the queue for takeaway was long. Nevertheless the food quality was worth the wait. So yummy! It’s addicting.

The bad reviews are definitely fake. The shop is clean, the people are absolutely lovely, the food is delicious. Seahouses is a toxic place... For lack of better words(racism..??)

This is the worst Chinese I have ever had every thing we had was so bad it was tasteless I would not recommend it at all the food was luke warm disgusting save your money

My family had a great visit to the Farne Island but got wet and cold on way back to Seahouses so stopped at the nearest fish and chip restaurant to the pier - Neptune's. Never again.it was £3.75 for a plate of chips and I had 14 chips. So few I counted them.at nearly 30p a chip I made tje most of them but will never go again

Good service, had curry king prawns: lots of prawns, sauce spicy, but a bit tasteless, also spicy chili king prawns: very nice, lots of prawns properly cooked. Portion of chips were nice

We have visited here before ,when we stayed on the nearby campsite,We thought we'd try it again,as my son fancied a Chinese,We picked up a menu and rang up later to pick it up at 7-30,They have a really varied menu,of Chinese and English food,Also,it was very reasonably priced,For 3 people,it came to £27,We had crispy rolls,which were very tasty and home made,Chicken curry, Fried rice and Chicken satay,Also with chips,prawn crackers and curry sauce,We arrived and there it was,ready for us to pick it up,The little Chinese lady,was very polite even tho it was busy,We really enjoyed our food,Plenty to eat and all fresh and hot

First time I have been there ,the food was Excellent ,and the lady who served was so nice and very efficient .

We had a large spring roll with king prawns, mushrooms and fried rice. The meal was lovely and the prices were not too expensive. Would come here again.

Food lacked any flavour, except salt. Chicken fried rice has no colour or flavour, sadly I know why the order was so quick. The curry sauce was grainy. Mixed vegetables in black bean sauce was bland and sauce thin, also not much variety in the way of vegetables- there was only bean sprouts and onion and a total lack of broccoli, carrot, water chestnut, bamboo?

Possibly the worst and most expensive Chinese food we have ever had. Every dish bar one was not as expected and was well below par. Sweet & sour chicken with no chicken resulting in a second trip to retrieve said poultry and a chicken & cashew nuts without said nuts. When ordering (from the thoroughly miserable woman behind the counter) I requested that the dish have no bamboo and luckily they failed to action this request as it would have resulted in a dish known as 'chicken in a vague tasteless sauce' (see attached picture and you will see why!). I note from the other reviews that 'city types' would not find this establishments cuisine appealing; I am from a small town with a genuinely good Chinese takeway and this place is a country mile away from it and any other I have ever eaten from. Overall a thoroughly disappointing meal, I only wish I had heeded the poor reviews on here. I must advise you not to eat here or you will more than likely be disappointed like we have been.

Nice but a tad on the dear side.

On the plus side, this establishment looks a lot better than the Google maps photos would have you believe, and what others have said - clean, tidy and pleasant surroundings to sit in while you wait for your order to be fulfilled. I've seen far, far worse. And, there's a selection of the local papers to browse should that be your thing. The woman serving was also very polite and well spoken - no language barrier to overcome :-) However, I can't say I rate their food. Granted, this is a very subjective thing, and we all have different likes/dislikes. To compare places, I always order my go-to dish (Singapore noodles). My better half favours chicken, green pepper in black bean sauce. Alas, neither of them were on par with what we're used to back home. My dish especially, which was advertised on a separate board (suggesting house special?) was especially disappointing lacking as it did any colour or flavour. I can honestly say that my own homemade attempts at the dish are far better - it cried out for some soya sauce! Those who review and state "great taste" should tell the rest of us what they ordered.

Worse chinese I have ever had.gad sweet & sour prawns there was so much batter on prawns I couldn't find the prawn.the sauce! If you could call it that was absolutely disgusting.my husbands meak was just as bad.even the prawn crackers were not fresh.
