Surfside Diner in Weymouth and Portland

I think it was the best kebab I've ever had in a holiday resort. It's been a week since I first arrived in the city. My wife and I have been eating here for 3 weeks.

Ordered online for delivery, phoned them 20 mins after expected delivery time to be told it will be delivered in around 15 minutes. Order arrived incorrect, I ordered a lamb kebab and they delivered a chicken kebab. Other items where ordered the same time, but when delivered the whole order was semi warm. I could not be bothered to phone and complain. Will seriously consider ordering again. Shame really as this place used to be top nocte.

working in portland the amount of decent takeaways are very limited, but this out of the way kebab shop is by far my favourite possibly in the south coast

Worst take out I've had from this place. Chips were cold and soggy. Curry sauce was too watery. Forgot my chips and did bring me some and some new curry sauce but that didn't taste very good either. Very disappointed. Sorry but won't be ordering from you guys again.

Order late. I then received a text to say it was delivered. It wasn’t……. Then received one to say it was late (already knew that) when it arrived. The order was incorrect! I called Surf Side, staff member VERY rude. No apology at all. Didn’t offer to rectify their mistake! If looking at my account, they will be able to see I order from the A LOT! So I would have hoped to have been treated better seen as I am a very regular customer!

Ordered at about 5:30pm and arrived at 6:30pm ish and the food was still warm which was quite a surprise considering I ordered up to Portland! Very surprised first time having surfside in 1 year and they did not disappoint. Even got a free tango which was a nice surprise! 👍🏻

Food was decent, but I have two gripes. One is personal choice and another not. First, I do prefer my shish or kebab to be inside the bread, not put on top. Second is the packaging. It’s rubbish and needs more of a solid box. Both boxes was collapsing

Food was not hot. The containers looked like they had been run over.

Driver over charged by £10 and wouldn’t leave till he got the money the food came to £48 and kept telling my girlfriend that the money was short so he ended up with £58 I will not order from these again

Really quick delivery ,very polite delivery man. There was so much meat we didn't know wether to eat it or put a saddle on it and ride it!!!

Waited 50 minutes for my order to turn up wrong, called for a replacement and waited well over an hour for replacement food to arrive.

First time i Ordered from here. My pizza was so tasty, hot and cooked perfectly,plus a free can of coke. The delivery driver was so friendly and polite as well. Will definitely be ordering again. Thankyou

Ordered chefs mixed grill, all the meat tasted sour and of vinegar, the whole dish was ruined by this flavour and was completely inedible, was also missing the chips which are stated as included when ordered. I tried several times to call to discuss this issue and the phone wasn't answered. No other means of contact to rectify this complaint. The only edible part of the whole meal was the pitta breads. Disappointing as use surfside regularly and have never had a complaint about the food or service until tonight.

Not happy with them they give another food as i ordered and plus now they took my money when shop was closed and then i have to waiting untill tomorrow when shop is open they will be give me refund money not happy with that it doesnt my fault they are closed and on website is show they are open

Ordered for the first time as on holiday. Im sure if the food was delivered on time and not over 40 mins late it would of been nice. Rang the resturant who was very apologetic. I use uber eats often at home and not had a problem with delivery, but to have 50 pounds worth of food turn up with attiude not a good look.

Ordered for collection via the shops own website, my first order with them this evening and I'm very impressed. My kebab was cooked just right for my taste's, the salad was fresh, chips were freshly cooked to perfection. The service was fantastic, even though you could see they were under pressure with online orders. Fair price charged, i would suggest using the shops website rather than just eat, for cost comparison. I arrived a little earlier than my collection time, but communication was superb, and my order appeared at the allotted time. Portion size was as expected, no complaints. All in all a great first impression, I will be reordering soon. Thank you Surfside Diner

Great pizza absolutely amazing

My food at the restaurant took over an hour to be made..chips, nuggets and a kebab take over an hour? It was not by any chance my delivery drivers fault, he got here quick and even apologised for the wait , he was lovely

Onion rings were cold and soggy and the large portion of cheesy chips I ordered was only half a box full

rang restaurant at 21.05 to find my order, was cold waste of money driver had left food in a parcel delivery box, didn't even knock the door. Shocking Won't be ordering anything else from them.

The chips were soggy and barely cooked a couple of them were hard. The garlic bread pizza was rock solid and could barely eat it. Nuggets were a bit soggy but we’re edible

Got the order wrong. Rung up to sort they said they would have a fresh one out delivered within 25mins…..over an hour and still nothing. Given up. I would avoid.

Yet again the delivery person didn’t have the cleverness to ring my bell. They left it on the step and I ate it cold.

We have been ordering regularly from here but will now give up and try and find a new place. There is no consistency, food is often overcooked, servings are randomly very small. Very disappointed! Used to be one of the best in Weymouth and has gone downhill massively. Inconsistent food and it's not priced very well either. I'd recommend trying to find somewhere else

delicious food, really friendly service, best prices around especially as the portions are the most generous in Weymouth! I've lived in Weymouth all my life & sometimes mix it up & try other places but always come back to Surfside as because simply are the best

Kebabs were nice but the burger was not good, tasted like those microwave rustler burgers and not cooked. Ordered kids chicken doner and chips but you sent lamb doner which was thrown away after I tried calling the shop for half an hour but constantly engaged. Chips were very soggy and tasted like old oil. Such a shame as our first delivery - quality was excellent. Not sure if will try again

Despite delivery taking a while and having to call the shop, cannot fault the food. Decent portion and really nice kebabs. Hubby even said it’s the best kebab he’s had in the area. Our local kebab place closed so now will stick with these guys - and considering they had to deliver from weymouth to Portland, it was worth the wait and very tasty. Really enjoyed it so thank you. Nice to have a takeaway the whole family enjoyed, order was correct, food hot and good quality meat. Well done 👍

What a joke! 2 and a half hours and still no food. We called and were lied to that the food was on its way, it clearly wasn’t. Avoid at all costs!!!

Absolutely horrendous service. I actually ordered via their app and they completely ignored the notes and got the whole order wrong. When I spoke to them they said they’d rectify and resend the order. When the order got here there was only a burger no replacement chips so when I phoned them again they then decided to shout and argue down the phone to me. Absolutely disgusting will not be returning!!

Banging food it was quick clean n the chips was banging served with a proper portion of meat
