Sunshine Italian Restaurant in Pembrokeshire

Visited this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend. Was not disappointed.. We were met by an incredibly friendly, young lady, who took our food and wine order, chatting and generally making us feel very welcome For starters were had the sharing bread and mozzarella and tomato salad which was delicious. For mains we had chilli chicken and the meatballs, which were also fabulous. Both the service and food was impressive and would recommend this restaurant. Will definitely be returning to try the other dishes on the menu.

Absolute amazing food can’t recommend it enough. We were a party of 5 adults one toddler and a baby. We all had amazing food, pizzas were great so big couldn’t eat it all and we were offered a box to take the remaining slices pizza home. The kids menu was great value, we ordered pasta and sauce and the waitress offered the sauce and cheese separate for our toddler which was such a great idea. Ice cream was so good and as it was Halloween they added chocolate spider webs , all staff had made an effort to dress up! Service was amazing. Can’t recommend it enough. Our son turned down dessert, as he said his pizza was better than dessert. Never has he turned down a dessert! Service and food were fantastic, but be warned, portions are large. Really warm welcome and attentive staff. Dogs welcomed too.

Drinks order took 50 mins to arrive after2 reminders. Food came 10 minutes later. Chicken was like leather, the lasagne almost vegetarian, lamb chops were tough. Sadly

Fantastic dinner for five tonight! Super service from Fabio with attentive and skillful staff. Vegetarian risotto, meat platter, pizzas, Avocado and Caesar salads followed by Chocolate puds, Raspberry cheesecake and a great Tiramisu were all brilliant!! Definitely going here again soon 👍

Absolutely superb cuisine. Very pleasant service too. I'd prefer a dog-free area though. And I think it unkind to make dogs have to behave when surrounded by the aroma of good food.

Have just been here tonight for an evening meal. The food and service were absolutely excellent. I’ve been coming to Pembrokeshire for holidays for decades and I’d go as far as saying this was the best meal I’ve ever had in the county. Highly recommend. Wonderful flavours and fresh top quality ingredients. Very friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be back!

Wow wow wow - staying local for a week and this was a real find. Josh and the rest of the team were really attentive and the food was amazing. Vegetable sharing platter was super tasty and the pizzas were brilliant. We will be returning later in the week.

Went for lunch. As regular visitors to Italian restaurants we were pleased to find a decent menu. One meat based pasta and a risotto were both good. It offers more than just the 'burger and chips' for ageing customers. Check times and menu at time you choose. Ask at restaurant as to its free parking

Stunning food and plenty of choice on the menu, although my husband had the lasagne twice in a 4 day stay.. he said it's the nicest lasagne he has ever had. Great service from all the staff there and dog friendly too. Gorgeous sea front location. Petfect.

Delicious squid ink pasta with mussels, prawns and calamari. Would have liked more seafood - only three pieces of calamari, five mussels and four prawns. Husband ordered the spicy chicken and pasta which he enjoyed but was surprised at how spicy it actually was. Restaurant was full so staff very busy but all friendly and attentive.

This place came highly recommended so we were looking forward to our evening. On arrival we were told they were short staffed so there would be a wait for food, this can’t be helped but we did wait 1hr 15 mins for our food. It felt as though the food had been ready a while as the cheese on the pizzas had been melted and then gone hard again so no cheese pull! Also the potatoes with the sea bass were so unbelievably salty, they were inedible!! We got talking to some holiday makers the next day who told us Sunshine Italian had been saying they are short staffed when they’ve visited for their holiday for the last 2 years…maybe Sunshine should do something about this. Wanting to give them another chance, we popped in for an ice cream after a walk. Again it was busy, we spoke to the man at the till who asked us to wait 5 minutes. Which, of course we did, we then watched him start a number of tasks, running back and forth past us numerous times. Feeling like we had been forgotten we walked out and got ice creams from the next door ice cream shop. During this time the manager seemed to be not busy while his waiting staff were clearly very stressed. This place is trying to be too much. It does breakfast, lunch, dinner, take away, an ice cream parlour and coffee & cake all day. I would rather they offer less but do it well, this place could be so much better. It needs better management!! NB: the young girls who are waitressing are excellent, they are super professional and positive, just a shame they are run off their feet!

Walked here from Newgale and needed sustenance for the return - we ordered chicken and Gorgonzola panini - great combo and real chicken! Carrot cake was delicious. Coffee - we had a cappuccino and americano -was very good. Service was friendly and quick and loads of treats for our dog. Great value for excellent food and service. Would recommend a visit !
