Sunrise in North Lincolnshire

Always great food and that hasn’t changed even since I went gluten free. The guy on the desk is always helpful and lets me know what is suitable and what’s not.

Meal was stodgy and didn't look very appetising at all they don't deliver and the chow mien look very strange compared to any other I have ever had one star is too many don't go food is terrible save your money

My go to Chinese. Food is always good although curry is spicy.

The only Chinese I’ll order from, been coming here years now! Satay sauce always gorgeous, big chunky home made chips, food always piping hot and on time, not to mention the portion sizes are giant always have more left over for the next day 🖤

What can l say this place in my opinion used to be one of the best in town not any more over cooked chicken satay chicken balls not very hot looked as if they had been warmed up chips not very good will not be returning here for a considereable length of time

First time ordering. Was recommended by their delivery driver. Certainly wasn’t disappointed the food was hot and very nice. Will certainly order again. Only downside is cash only but worth a trip to the bank.

Placed an order tonight spent £18 and the food was vile, it was stone cold they missed half my order out, will never be ordering from here again! The only thing that was nice was the prawn crackers

Really enjoy the food from here. We ordered the set meal for 3 and purchased extra sweet and sour chicken balls and chips. Absolutely fantastic food. We collected and the place is cash only.

Called in as my usual takeaway was closed. It has got new owners and has been refurbished nice tiles and decor. Food was excellent. With proper old style Chinese chips . I will be back soon .

Called in for a few nights while I was visiting on work. The man behind the counter was very friendly. Establishment looked very clean. The beef Chow mein was full of beef, and very tasty.

Sunrise used to belong to Wendy now she as left it is utterly disgusting. We bought a meal tonight and it wasn't fit for human consumption, it went in the bin. We'd been regularly customers for over 20 years. Won't be returning ever again.

Normally dishes are very nice and hot but was lukewarm at best tonight and chips aren’t as good as they were which we have been saying for weeks now.

Not sure what’s happened but tonight’s food was not the best I’ve tried from here. After reading the comments I say bring back the old owners.

Used to be one of the best in scunthorpe now one of the worst. Some of the order was missing when it arrived. Ordered a curry sauce and it was like water and tasteless. Definitely disappointed and waste of money

Foods used to be good here, nice Chinese cousin, but I ordered Chaw main and special soup, instead of special soup they gave me chicken soup and duck chaw main was terrible.

Been years since I had take away from here. Only because I'm ashby side town. Lovely. Really we all enjoyed it. Any negatives? Curry sauce was small. Will use you again. Yummy. Compliments to the chef

Where do I start; used to be the best in area now the worst ! Delivery took 2 hours food was dry ribs tasted like some kind of fake meat. And when I asked for them in sauce they charged me £1.90 extra not forgetting the £4 for delivery that they charged me! This place has gone down hill big time definitely don’t reccomend this place now, I would go as far as to say I’m suprised I’m not I’ll after picking at the disgusting food well if it can be called food. What a waste of money.

Used this place regularly over the years.. I had a curry a couple of weeks, ago and was positively underwhelmed!.. Will be trying elsewhere

Rubbish place these people seem to allways take the phone off the huck you never get through you need to keep ringing for about half an hour sometime even longer and when i got through the spare ribs arrived burnt the few times i ordered from their so now i order from Hong Kong takeaway on Doncaster rd the food is good and they allways answer the phone

The guy on the end of the phone was rude, sounded like he couldn't give a toss , and lied about ringing us to tell us our food was ready ? Was rude and abrupt when we asked when we asked where it was !!!! His reply was " it's in the bin " not going there again !!!!!!!!

The home made Chinese chips are to die for. All I can say is this is the best Chinese I’ve had in such a long time. Will definitely be returning once a week!!

for a week me and my 3 kids ill the chicken curry we had i spoke to the woman who rated sunrise the 1 star rating and her words sunrise does alot of re heating and that could be the reason im disgusted i spent £20 to be ill thanks but no thanks

Incorrect drinks served, unable to offer pork dumplings on their own. Job lot includes prawn dumplings, bought in frozen. Part of meal order missed, but still charged for, until brought to their attention. Staff friendly.

1st time tried this establishment and found them very pleasant and food ordered excellent,

Pity only got a one Star rating from council because the food is good. You just don't know what goes on behind kitchen door sorry lost my custom

Set meal for one fed us both and we had plenty.

We have used Sunrise for at least 25 years,not anymore they have a 1 star rating for food hygiene and have had that for a while, why have they not improved to get thier star rating back up ? I know other people who won’t use Sunrise anymore. Come on Sunrise you used to be really good, I for one will not use you again at least until your star rating goes up, I have read the rating report and it is not good

Guided to this takeaway by locals I ordered beef with bamboo shoots and water chestnut. I found it to be really tasty and more than enough of a portion for a guy of my size (11 stone). Sauce was of a thinner consistency and it was fantastic, a thinner sauce largely means (but not always) it's more likely shop made and not bought in and loaded with gluten. An hour on and my tummy feels great so deffo not a lot of gluten in this. (Don't quote me I ain't a quack, but those of us who can't handle overloads of the stuff should be fine with this dish. The price was really good and had the added bonus of finding a little bag of prawn crackers with my order once I got back to my truck. I probably should avoid em but they're just yummy. Thanks for a cracking meal guys, I'll see you again next time I'm in the area. Regards Craig

Tell you there 10 mins away then don't show up at all what a joke. Stay clear they are idiots can't even ring you back to tell you there not coming after 1 and half hour the you ring them back again and then laught!!!! jokers

Very busy Chinese, be prepared to wait getting through on the phone, food is the best in area. Just try their chips :) authentic and worth the wait

Fantastic food! The take-away itself doesnt look to inviting due to the age of the shop front but this does not take away from how good the quality of food. Some new modern deco and this would be 5*

First time of trying this take away and found the food plentiful and very nice, had the set meal for two good value for money. Called in on the off chance placed our order and that was in between the phone ringing, very popular for home deliveries so if you ring an order you may have a little wait.

Best Chinese in Scunthorpe (when you can get through).

Revolting. Why do so many people rate Sunrise. Just had a chicken curry that had a horrible smell to it and tasted even worse. Feel so sick, never again Sunrise. Never again.

Can very rarely get through to order! Discusting, what is the point in having a number to call, if your not going to answer the phone.

I really love the food ...but ordering is a nightmare ...you just can't get through ...after seeing him take the phone off the hook myself and leave it off for the whole time we waited for our order I now know why !! Such a shame as we now go elsewhere
