Excellent meal for seven of us at short notice.

We’ve used Sunar Gow for years. This is the first time we’ve dined in since it was refurbished and changed to a bring your own booze. The food was lovely, served promptly and we had no complaints. Pricing was reasonable, around £25 per person for poppadoms, starter and main. Weirdly though, on a Friday night we were only 3 of maybe 6-8 people dining in. I hope they can up the numbers as a local business. The food is great as is the quality and who doesn’t love a BYO!

Me & my partner went there today, spent £40.95 0n a lamb curry and a chicken curry, 2 nan bread and 2 cokes both curry's were bland basically made with the base sauce with no seasoning only difference was one was chicken and other lamb but the sauce was actually the same will not be eating there again and wouldn't recommend

Cracking meal, nicely spicy without the taste of having a load of red chilli powder thrown into the dish. Plentiful parking and easy access, fully licensed bar with cobra on tap. Chose the Chicken garlic chilli and asked for extra green chillies, tasted just right and before you ask, no it's not a macho thing it's how its should be. Busy early doors and a testament to the team at SG as takeaway orders and the number of individuals sitting down shows this place is popular. All in all a solid performance from the team at SG. Will be back with more family members. 5th May UPDATE: Just a heads up, fully refurbished inside. One change is that the restaurant is no longer licensed. But you can bring your own alcohol.

We went to Sunar Gow for a family birthday. Food was great. The chicken shashlik was delicious, really tender chicken. Staff were nice and made us feel welcome. It was a good time, and we'd definitely go back.

We came for a meal for our friends birthday. The food was absolutely stunning, portions were perfect and the quality and flavour was one of the best we have had. All staff were hands on and the level of service was exceptional, from start to finish. A really lovely place with a lovely welcoming enviroment. And decorated lovely and tastefully. If your wanting alcoholic beverages you are required to bring your own. Only soft drinks served. Would highly recommend and will be returning. Thank you.

First order from Sunar Gow and we’ll definitely be back again! Food was delicious, so flavoursome and made with quality ingredients. My Chicken Sagwala was so tender and the sauce had a lovely depth of flavour.

Visited Sunar Gow tonight for the first time in months.Took our own drink knowing they don’t serve alcohol. The food was excellent as was the service. Very polite and understanding. Decor is well impressive. Will use more regularly

Arrived early, thats suits ne just fine. Food is a little more expensive but pay the extra as the food really is rather good. The 'killer' keema naan breads are fabulous!

We visited the Sunar Gow today to celebrate my sons birthday. We had poppadoms, 3 starters, 3 mains, 3 rice and 2 naan breads. Just wow! The food was beautiful and well presented. The atmosphere is lovely with blossom trees over the ceiling and atmospheric lighting. The staff couldn't do enough for us. With is being a Tuesday it was very quiet in the restaurant but they were busy with takeaways! We took our own alcohol with us and they were quick to bring me a wine bucket for the bottle to stay chilled and pint glasses for the boys. Our meal cost just over £80 which I feel is great value for money. We would highly recommend this restaurant and will absolutely be visiting again!

We popped in here on the off chance tonight and it did not disappoint. We knew they didn’t serve alcohol so we took a few of our own bottles of beer for which they provided glasses and an ice bucket. The decor was stunning, very modern and exceptionally clean. Very welcoming atmosphere right from the start. Service was brilliant the staff were so friendly and very accommodating. They ensured our pickle tray was always full and took away our empty beer bottles promptly. The food…. Wow! We had poppadoms, onion bhaji, chicken 65 (this was incredible), chicken tikka masala for sharing, pilau rice, chips and a nann bread. Everything was perfect, so delicious. They taste was spot on, just the right amount of spice to the dishes and they were presented beautifully. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We will absolutely be going back and telling all of our friends about it. If you went a delicious Indian in a fantastic atmosphere this is the place for you!

This is the first review I’ve ever done.As a tramping lorry driver I get to eat at least 4 or 5 times a week getting the food delivered. The food was amazing. The delivery driver forgot the bottle of coke and came within 5 minutes. Is it a bit expensive? Yes. But at least you get what you pay for. I would definitely recommend this place, and hope to find more places like this, so I can do my second review.

We used to eat here all the time until it shut, thought it was good before, but we have been twice in one week, the food is absolutely gorgeous , dont be put off by having to take your own alcohol they are very forthcoming with the glasses when you get there , staff very friendly and accommodating , we went with friends one of them loves his curry very hot and they sorted it, its now his new place to go , keep it up

Our family group of 10 eat there last night. The food was fantastic the staff couldn't do enough for us all and it's set in a wonderful atmosphere after a recent Make over. All family members said how good the food was. Well Happy Just take your own alcohol.

Visited last night with the family. Had a lamb dish that was outstanding. We all enjoyed our food. Excellent service. Alcohol isn't served, but we were allowed to bring our own. Will definitely be returning.

Great food and fantastic staff.

Not keen on the food. Butter Chicken was white, had a layer of something on the top that was super sweet, almost like a pudding. The Saag Aloo wasn't great, needed seasoning. Lamb chops were stingy for £8!

Best curry I have ever had, and being from London that is hard to beat. Been here quite a few times now and everything on the menu is full of incredible flavour. The chefs are brilliant, thanks guys!

Went there with my wife and kids very nice food i have to say. The starter chicken 65 was something else. Curry was serves on tawa and the best keema nan I have had in ages. Cocktail blue lagoon was really nice. Very nice and warm also.
