Sun Kong in Leeds

Every single time I have ordered from Sun Kong there has always been something missed off my order. We haven’t ordered for months & our usual Chinese takeaway (China Express) was shut tonight so we decided to try Sun Kong again. Surprise surprise once I got my order home we had some sides missing!! When I rung to let them know there was no apology or offer to drop them off, I was told to go pick them up or get them next time. There will be no next time. The food is quite nice but not nice enough to order from here again. China Express is a million times better, amazing food & better value for money!

Wow what a gem I found, I have my regulars for canotonese food and this by far is the best in the area, when I ordered I expected the usual pre made stuff but at my surprise the shredded crispy beef was freshly made with pineapple peices and ginger stem which told me the chef actually chopped fresh veges and put the dish together, will definitely be using this place again and a big thank you to the staff here as it was Tuesday when I was looking all over to order and this place popped up

Had food from Stephanie for years tonight absolutely rubbish . Pre cooked chicken that was rubbery 🤮

Special Satay, not worth the money, sauce weak thin and watery - meat poor and tasted processed especially the chicken - would not consider ordering again

The food is spot on. Steph has always been pleasant,funny, and warm on the phone. We always collect as its just down the road so I can't comment on delivery. I just wish they would take card payment.

Unless they're closed for some reason. Have tried ordering from them for the last week and have had no one answering my calls.

Says they are open online, no-one can be bothered to answer the phone, tried for an hour... very disappointed

Since the new staff have taken over the counter it's not the same, past 4 times ordering was either missing something or something was wrong.. bring back the regular lady! Also I don't understand how they new counter staff are allowed to smoke outside then go back in without washing hands.🤢

Been a regular customer for years but delivery service on Saturday night was awful. Food cold on arrival and not to usual standard despite big price hikes in the last year. Won't be using again.

Fantastic Chinese. Steph and staff are all lovely. Food is great, best tasting Chinese curry around. All our family orders from here and everything is always fresh, piping hot and tasty. Ps. Check dates of the reviews before going off them - the negative ones are years old.

Placed an order totaling £45 and they did not get it correct things were missing rang upto discuss the issue and they was rather rude over the phone and it wasn't nice food at all I would definitely not recommend using this place at all.

Great food Steph the owner is such a laugh. Sweet & Sour Chicken ( curry sauce instead of S&S.) Special fried rice. Chips.. "FANTASTIC"

Can't believe the reviews, salt and pepper food isn't fried its just smuthered in salt and pepper seasoning. Chicken was pink.

Food is always great. Can be a little slow on busy evenings but well worth the wait. Orders occasionally wrong but have been quickly rectified in my experiences.

Lovely food and staff that have a laugh. Never had a bad meal from here. Recommended.

Ordered food at 17-23pm got told pick up at half6 got there n had to wait another half hour inside then I got home plates up my chicken curry only to find lamb in my curry causing me to be sick not good at all n the lady that served me really rude,I will not return there after spending £27 there tonight n the rice was clumpy

Waited over 2 hours to be told they had just started cooking my food. The woman on the phone couldn’t have sounded less interested and wasn’t bothered when I cancelled the order. Stopped ordering from there as the food went really downhill. I will stop ordering from there again because you need to give them a week’s notice if you want to eat. Shocking. Avoid.

Poor delivery times. Approx 1hr has now turned into 2hrs and 20 mins. 3 chases, 2 of which said "we've just finished cooking it". REALLY. Better be hot when it gets here !!

Ordered at 5.30pm for delivery told an hour half now 2 and half hours and still no food its disgusting and the customer service is shocking dont bother ordering from them they are a joke. Dont even acknowledge when they mess you about.. No offer of reduction.

Service very bad food not fit for a dog to eat gone down in standard sue has let it down the pan and her attitude to her CUSTOMER is u r wrong and she is always right.

Great Chinese food slightly overpriced can get very busy at times .delivery is hit and miss so your better calling in to get your orders

Slow service at best of times (up to 2 hours) but even calling on a tuesday night at 10.20pm is too much to ask for a delivery even when you are a 5 minute drive down the road! To be abruptly told "got a few on now so cant get that area" then hung up on is a disgrace.If i could put zero stars i would after farce last time of ordering,waiting 1.5 hours and 3 phone calls to be told we have been (clearly not or i would not be calling) just avoid.

Excellent quality food but delivery or collections times quoted are often significantly out. I.e. They tell you food will be ready for collection at a certain time and you still have to wait in shop for 20 mins after that time, or delivery to your door is 30 mins later than stated at point of ordering.

Worst chinese I've ever had. Canned meat in the special fried rice. Very costly for non authentic food. Didnt even come with prawn crackers! Lady on the phone was impatient with me and I had to explain that I didn't have a menu. I should have known then not to place the order! Very very disappointed

My brother ordered chicken from there and few other things and they weren't cooked properly. I ended up being seriously ill the next day after eating the chinese I had delivered. This could be due to becoming too busy over the years and the quality slipping.

Food was good but got too busy and the quality has slipped, Forget delivery in 40 mins Friday and Saturday more like 2 hours. Such a shame as it was the best within miles but now just ordinary.

When ordered said one hour two hours twenty mins later two phone calls and still no food if you u cant do deliveries dont offer the service in the time scale you offer the food is always spot on pity delivery is not

Fantastic food, Great people.Been going here for over 9 yrs !! We've now moved but travel for 1/2 hour to go back and get the best Salt n Pepper spare ribs. Hope they never change. 😁😁😁😁

Very good food and quick service. Only the very rare issue of an item of food from our order being missed out but they will have it ready for you if you call them and notify them of this.

Great food, sometimes long waits

Tried this out last weekend for the first time and was very impressed. Extremely busy and the phone never stops ringing, just shows how popular it is. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic food. Best takeaway ever. We have been eating their food for around 7 years. It gets better and better. We had the mixed starter, special chow mein and special sweet and sour with boiled rice. The food was simply delicious. Enjoy!
