Never try to order online from these people. In the past they would accept and then take 2 hours to deliver food when the website says 55 minutes. Now they’ve gone another level and would basically reject orders. I’ve had 3 orders rejected by them already over the past few months. At first I thought I just ordered during a bad time for them such as a family emergency, but no the reason is because they just don’t have the capacity to serve all the requests. If they really do not want our money there are plenty of other places we can eat at.

All these supposed "fake reviews" are 100% REAL. We ordered from here for delivery scheduled at 7pm. The food did not arrive until after 9pm. I rang the restaurant after around 90 minutes of waiting to be told that the driver had left 15 minutes prior and was in the area, yet waited 45 minutes after the call to receive my order. When the food eventually arrived, the sushi was sub-par and the warm dish was completely cold. The only credit I will give is that they were reasonable on the phone and apologised for the wait, however I expected some form of refund, however small, yet will not receive one. Avoid this place, unauthentic sushi, no variety in the sushi and just poor service all-round.

My order took over two hours to arrive, (which I understand can’t always be helped) and when it came it wasn’t what I expected. “Mixed” sushi consisted of the exact same rolls, no variety. And there was lukewarm food. I rang to check on where it was about an hour after the scheduled time and was told the driver had set off 10 minutes ago. He came an hour later. The taste and quality was subpar at best. For the price, I was expecting authentic, good quality sushi. I regret ordering from here, unfortunately. I’m very disappointed.

So I ordered through Uber eats at around 7pm so it said the delivery time would be around 8:20pm and 8:40pm which is standard waiting time for food through Uber eats. I tried ringing the shop through Uber eats and the line kept cutting out so I requested an update from the restaurant through Uber eats and got no response. I did this another 3 times and still nothing. I then googled the restaurant and rang them to see when my food would be delivered as it was no 9pm. They said the driver was setting off now he was just waiting for another 3 orders in the same postcode so he was waiting. So I told them why didn’t they let me know through Uber eats when I had requested it. They did not answer and then said it should be with me by 9:30pm. By no surprise it still wasn’t here by 9:30pm. So I rang the restaurant again and they said the driver was setting off again when I had rang at 9:30pm. So I waited and then it got 10:10pm and then food hadn’t come so I rang them and as I rang the food turned up. When we sat down the eat the food it was dry and cold. Today I got a phone call off a unknown number but a mobile one and it was one of the members of staff from the restaurant and they was having a go at me saying I said the food hadn’t arrived and I didn’t I requested a refund as it was 1hour and 30 minutes late. He then went on with me calling me another name which isn’t either mine it was very abusive and then he hung up the phone. I then rang the store to speak with the manager and I got the manager on the phone and he said he will wake the member or staff and then hung up the phone on me. This is the worst service and food I’ve never had my partner isn’t well either and has had a headache all day. DO NOT ORDER FROM SUMO SUSHI BAR

Terrible customer service. We ordered food at 7:03pm but it didn’t arrive until 10:10pm. We rang at 9pm to check where our food was and was told it was on its way with other orders close to us so seemingly our food was in transit for over an hour. The food was obviously cold, dry and distasteful. My partner has just received an abusive phone call from the restaurant. I’ve had a terrible headache all day and don’t feel too well. Avoid!

My food took an extra hour to arrive to my home. I ordered through Deliveroo. The worker was rude when I contacted them and it took me 5 calls to get a hold of them. Food was unappetising. Chicken chow mein was too salty and the ramen was awful. First time ordering from here and it will be my last time. Very unfortunate.

Delivery was scheduled for 4.30pm to 4.50pm did not arrive. Phoned at 5pm told driver was just leaving a 10 minute drive away. Phoned again at 5.30pm told driver was at door. Driver turned up at 5.45pm with cold food and no apology or explanation as to why it took so long. If food is going to be delayed because you are busy then be honest and people will understand, lie to them. Then you are encouraging people to be disappointed and leave poor reviews. Dreadful service and delivery, be warned they lie. Shame it does not allow you to leave no stars. That’s nearly £90 I will not be giving to them in the future.

We've all (4 of us) been taken ill from eating at this nasty establishment. I'm currently awaiting further diagnosis. I'm not happy and I've reported you to environmental health. We should have walked straight out but we decided to support a local business. So I've just ordered Thai green curry with veg and pad Thai they are absolutely awful and not edible they are cold as it took so long. The Thai curry is just onions and mushroom with a bit of carrot with no sauce. Literally one of the worst food I've ever ordered. The sushi wasn't bad.

Sub standard food in a dirty and dingy environment. Served and executed by a very pompous and arrogant man who's full time job is within the police force. Need I say more? I've watched this guy waste peoples time in the most disrespectful manner when all they did was respond to his advert for staff. What I ate gave me a dodgy stomach for days. After seeing the state of the kitchen I should have left but was generous enough to give them a chance. My system did not thank me for this. In fairness, what was I expecting from something that resembles a closed down massage parlour from the exterior? Save your money, time and tummy. Go somewhere else. I wasn’t going to write a public review but since the restaurant keeps calling their reviews fake, well now I have to comment, the WORST Asian food I’ve ever had, these ‘geniuses’ put CRISPY katsu chicken in with the sauce and rice?? What do I receive? A mushy mess. Not how it should be presented AT ALL. The bread crumbs had turned to mush, and the chicken itself was HARD, meaning it’s old chicken, just steer clear from this place they take no pride in their work and don’t deserve anyone’s business when calling reviews fake. So, according to this new incapable owner/manager, all relevant and real reviews are fake! Though experienced first hand and reviewed by verified Google reviewers. Funny how they respond in such an unprofessional manner too. No onus for their rubbish service whatsoever. So you as a veteran please decide for yourselves. Nearly all reviews according to the respondent are fake and have been reported yet they are still up and in good standing? Take note of what your customers are saying, try a professional approach and maybe...just maybe...try improving your food and service. I mean, it is what we pay for! Guys Avoid Avoid Avoid! It was better when the food was authentic. Pakistanis doing Sushi...Never Authentic! Get More Training. Keeping the previous owner on for 1 week to learn years of expertise hasn't done you an ounce of good. Vast improvement required, both to your attitude and your food.

We ordered on UberEATS. The restaurant doesn't use Uber to do the deliveries so we couldn't track the order. After 20 minutes, we tried the number on Uber for the restaurant, incorrect, then found it online and it just rang. We tried numerous times and we finally got through after 10-20 minutes of calling and waiting. The restaurant said it was 5 minutes away (by this time, it was already 30-40 minutes late). Once an hour had passed since the delivery time estimated on Uber, we cancelled the order and made other dinner arrangements. ANOTHER half hour later, the delivery arrived and we assumed it would go to waste, so we accepted it (big mistake). The sushi was very warm and there were items missing. We then got a VERY snotty call from the restaurant telling, not asking, us to pay the full price. No offer of a discount, no apology. Just pay. Absolutely terrible service, rude and unprofessional. Will never order from them again.

Literally can’t put into words what a shamble this place is. Waited 2.5 hours for food to arrive which in the end we cancelled and was told we was getting a refund and now no one is answering the phone to us. Lied every time I called to ask where it was when they finally arrived 3HOURS LATER they actually expected me to take Sushi that’s been sat in a car for 3 hours. Apologised saying they where short staffed, not my problem don’t take orders if you don’t have the staff. Now I’m £30 down for food that was 3 hours late and now clearly getting ignored. Ordered from here for a very long time now will never see me here again after the outrageous customer service and service in general.

I have been having deliveries from Sumo Sushi Bar on and off for about a year. The food has always been tasty and well cooked. Last night however, was poor. We ordered 2 portions of chicken karaage and 2 Thai green chicken curries. The karaage was cold, small strips of dehydrated chicken that were tough, bland and difficult to eat. Like chicken jerky. We ordered two portions of curry sauce...they sent two dipping pots that you would put mayo in and it was bland as anything. The Thai green chicken curry had ZERO sauce, and was again bland beyond bland. I've ordered that dish many times before...never received it that bad. The rice was bland too. It's like they ran out of salt, and everything was just reheated boiled bland garbage this time. Not good enough for the price at all. Bit more consistency and quality control needed..

If this is what passes for sushi these days ill stick to pizza...ordered the sushi box and ramen. The sushi was bland and factory mass produced, very poor quality. The ramen took me a while to find any meat, i thought id need to call the coast guard to help me look, then finally i found 6 tiny pieces of meat that i can only describe as shoe leather amongst some basic (and i mean basic) vegetables. Won't be ordering again, ill stick to SAKE in future, only ordered here because it was closed. Seems patience would have been a better option.

This is the most disappointing restaurant we have ever ordered from. The ramen we ordered was literally instant noodles with dry beef and tasteless soup. Not even edible. I don’t understand how this restaurant has good reviews! Also the ramen was all in a container where most of the soup leaked all over the bag. It was not packaged properly. The katsu was dry and again tasteless seemed like something frozen had just been reheated.

Found this restaurant today looking for something interesting for tea. Ordered Sumo Bento box 4 - Beef Shichimi, 2 chicken gyoza, 4 norimaki and rice. Had to order ginger and wasabi as an extra. Had never had Shichimi before, it was slightly spicy but nice with the rice and had quite a bit of veg in it. The gyoza were fried and a little crunchy, I have usually had them steamed before. All in all, a very tasty and satisfying meal for a reasonable price. Will order again.

Best Sushi I've ever eaten!!! I've had various sushi from independent and chain restaurants but no where as ever been this good!! We sat in and we were the only people here in (clearly most of their clientele is delivery orders) and the staff were polite, helpful and friendly. Genuinely debating booking for my wedding the sushi was that good!!! From the outside it is very decieving, it looks a little like your coming in through the back door but once inside it is beautifully decorated and (as I've said before) food and staff were too quality!

I usually have a good experience with Sumo Sushi Bar and have ordered from them several times, but they made a big error tonight. I had to call up 4 times before I finally got through so I could ask for allergen information. Recently, I have been diagnosed with a Wheat allergy, so I'm avoiding all gluten to be on the safe side. I asked them if their sushi boxes were gluten free and they confirmed they were, but I also asked about the 'Extra Sauces', specifically about the Yuki Sauce. To my surprise, I was told their Yuki Sauce was gluten-free. I even double checked and "yes" was the answer I got, but it wasn't. I know this because I had an allergic reaction to it. I didn't eat anything else that contained gluten/wheat, so that was the only thing it could be. Really disappointing that this happened because you rely on the people making your food to provide you with the correct allergen information and unfortunately on this occasion I wasn't. Fortunately, my allergy isn't that severe, so no major damage done, but they need to be sure about things like this in future because they could cause a lot of harm through their negligence.

I have ordered food to collect from this restaurant, the rice was dry and the katsu wasn't very hot. The outside of this restaurant is horrible and full of rubbish and there are rats everywhere. I once went to visit the restaurant and was greeted by many rude people smoking and drinking outside the restaurant and music playing loudly so I decided not to walk in.
