The fish and chips are soo good! All the workers are kind, I went with my mother and sister and they gave my little sister 2 fortune cookies, everyone is lovely 1000% recommend fish and chips from here

Not happy The new woman working there didn’t put my kids food in, apparently she didn’t understand the order - well go and ask then She also said when I rang back that she ran after me and shouted me straight away! What a lier! I was stood outside the chippy for 5 full minutes waiting for my lift she didn’t even bother to shout me Her attitude was couldn’t care less obviously doesn’t want to be there and my kids suffer as she ‘forgets’ their food - probably to eat herself as she definitely knew and didn’t do a thing about it.

Love the chinese food from here and the scallops.

I agree with Jason. So good! Cheaper than city centre prices miles better than any Chinese take away in Manchester city centre. Staff are friendly, kitchen is clean and organized.

My fish tasted of pure egg not a single taste of fish My soft fried noodles were majorly overdone and tasted disgusting Would not recommend to eat food from here as it's just a waste of money

Regardless some of the negative reviews on here! I have to say I disagree! Moved here 5 months ago and this without a doubt is the best Chinese I have eaten in a long time including the big city centre restaurants it does knock out better quality. The food is always consistent and tasty way better than any of the other chinese takeaways in the area. Sometimes there is a small wait but I am confident it is because the quality is better.

Been here many times due to it being close. Friendly staff, nice food and low priced. Worth a try. Unfortunly doesn't have a hygiene rating to justify this.

It's a small restaurant. The service is nice and the portion is really generous ! We've got fish and chips and it's pretty good. Good value for money. I recommend this place.

Anemic chips , Anemic sausage , and a bad case of the trots , if that's what you want from a chippy then look no further !! Typical example of a place that wants to make money and has no pride in what it serves and doesn't really care !!!! Hopefully they'll sell up to someone that has pride in what they do

Summer Sun used to be the best around .Unfortunatly the new management/owners have lost it with the taste and quality of the food I am very disappointed the way it has lost it

Not as good since it has been took over gutted because i have been going this chippy since i was a kid big shame

After waiting an hour to find out our order had been given to somebody else wasn't the best experience. Then when the other customer returned our order they handed it straight to us with no apologies. Unfortunately not knowing the other customer or how long the order had been gone we declined the food but after 10mins of completely blanking us (the fresh order would have been nice we were starving after all) we decided to request a refund they eventually gave us our money back after another 10 mins of blank stares. Been our chip shop of choice for 10years plus but I will never step foot in there again the way we we're treated was a disgrace and 1 star is to good. They need to learn how to treat customers we appreciate mistakes happen but our only mistake was going there.

One of the best Chinese Takeaways and Chippy in Manchester. The meals are always good, portions are generous and reasonably priced. The staff are polite and friendly. It does get busy but it is worth the wait!

Have used this takeaway for a number of years and never had any problems , at times it does get very busy which says volumes for the place, good choice of meals at reasonable price.

Este es un lugar estupendo para llevar comida china nunca tuve nada pero excelente comida, tuve el Singapur Chow Mien última visita, es fabuloso un montón de carne y muy sabrosa, hay en realidad lo suficiente para dos personas. Lo recomiendo y el personal es muy servicial.

Discovered this little gem in Newton Heath and have always been impressed by their Fish & Chips. Classic chippy style and the service is fantastic, as well as the price. Not had the Chinese yet but judging by their Fish & Chips, I can only imagine it be great as well.
