Summer Road Chippy in Dudley

Fantastic food, great portions and a very quick service even though it was New Years Eve. Will defo go there again !!

Absolutely appalling, unbelievable and unacceptable, the worst chip shop I have ever encountered. I go in to order a large chip as I’m telling them my order I look down at their hands and I am shocked to see the woman were no gloves while she was multiple different cuts in her hand with a plaster on her finger which is a breeding ground for bacteria. I tried to be understanding and think maybe she will put some on but little did I know she wouldn’t. She starts serving my chips and asks if I want salt or vinegar on it and I said (bear in mind I said it politely) “just salt please” and flashed her a smile. Why in gods name does she put vinegar on so I spoke up and said “oh sorry I didn’t want any vinegar” she the glares at me and told me rudely and unprofessional “that’s not what you said” I’m sorry was I not clear enough for you or can you not hear because of you ignorance? I’m sorry but did they not find maggots in the meat you serve a couple of years ago. And don’t get me started on the state of the front of it looks disgusting and unappetising I just wonder what the back looks like. Never ever again.

As usual food was excellent quality. The delivery driver was brilliant, she was spot on with delivery. Just dissapointed that my kebab comes with salad which i didnt receive. I will definately order from there again as theres no better chippy around.

This place used to always deliver the best. Last few times of ordered I've noticed the portion sizes are getting less especially with these new containers. They skimp on things, instead of putting eg gravy in a container. They put it on the food leaving it soggy. Very disappointed with my food.

Pie and chips was cold! requested curry sauce on the side as they were for the same person, curry sauce came on both meals. one if which couldn't be eaten due to the other person not liking curry sauce. waste of £20

bbq and mint sauce only please there was mayo added last time which i cannot eat

food amazing. ordered a couple of times now and food is spot on. delivery drivers are amazing. would definitely recommend this chip shop food is brilliant! please please please start doing stamps as being a single mother this would be brilliant. 100% spot on food and delivery thank you for always providing good customer service and good quality of food all the time. 🥰

Chicken was reheated really dry couldn't eat it .fish wasnt fresh dry an really hard batter

After reading the reviews I thought I’d give it a go yes it arrived on time but lady wasn’t very chatty just give me food and walked off!!..food was warm not hot and yes portions was ok but it cost me more than my usual chippy so did expect more,.

I had 2 fish & chips with curry sauce which wasn't even fresh + the fish was tasteless, the battered sausage was like rubber never ording again. I've had food from this chippy many times but tonight was the last time.

Food was not hot. Chips were hard and warmed up. Not usual standard. Disappointing

Cod was hot but so greasy and also had little taste, the burger looked weird and really dark, peas looked and tasted okay but were undercooked and the chips had a kind of stale texture.

mushy peas don't taste right and funny colour.. fish batter not crispy.. just stuck to paper like it had been sitting in there for a while

They gave me the wrong order when I called about this he was very rude then in the end came up with resolution to give me the correct order never showed up with correct order will not be ordering from them, bad customer service !

Should have read the reviews before coming here tbh, savaloy was freezing cold that got dashed straight out my window and fount an eyelash on my chips so they had to go in the bin absolute waste of money and service was appalling

Food cold and greasy chips was soggy and they missed my doner and chips I phoned them and told them they did bring it out to me so that’s 1 good thing it’s not the first time the food was not good but I gave them another chance but will not order from them again

Food was greasy as anything naan bread is somthing from Aldi cold and to top it off they for got my salad and mayo

I have had orders from here before but today’s order was 6/10 reason being it was all so greasy. Chips didn’t taste fresh and mixed meat I had no salad or sauces put on the pitta but the pitta bread all fell apart because the mix meat was so greasy. Battered mushrooms were all wrapped up and the batter came off on the paper.

Food was over 90 mins late, 2 hours 30 mins after it was ordered, arrived cold, driver blamed it on traffic??? Less than a mile from my home could have walked it quicker. I WILL NOT be ordering from this restaurant again

Really accommodating I was working at a customers house and asked for a fork to eat my dinner with and they sent one arrived quickly as it was literally round the corner but didn’t want to get changed into my cycle clothes and go down to come back and change back

What can I say??? I will never use another chip shop again. Summer Road, that was the best chippy food I’ve ever had. It was amazing. Keep up the great work.
