Best Chinese food ever. £25 could of fed 4 people! Will now be our regular! All served boiling hot.

Great salt and pepper ribs and with chow mein !!! Delicious, with good service, prompt delivery and reasonable prices. Will definately recommend

Salt and pepper chicken was far to salty was like chewing salt rocks, chips very disgusting black and soggy, sweet and sour sauce was also vile!

Absolutely delicious food lovely and hot, service was amazing and delivery was within the time quoted (1hr) Would I recommend that is a definite yes.. Thank you Summer palace.

Ordered chicken sweetcorn soup and got noodle instead. Pancake roll deep fried which made it super greasy. Gave it two stars because it came quickly. Won’t be ordering from here again.

Ordered crispy beef with chilli Beef was rock hard, sauce was just like colored water don't risk it - Find somewhere else.

Below standard food - not terrible, but below the quality of other Hereford Chinese restaurants. Meat quality was poor (reformed ham, reformed pork/char sui), sweet & sour sauce was gloopy and overly sweet. Tasted cheap and unnatural. Service was polite and quick and portions were generous.

We have eaten Chinese food from several take aways in Hereford. Today we called Summer Palace for the first time. It was recommended to us by a Chinese friend/co worker. I trust their opinion! The man who took my order over the phone was friendly and kind. The food was delivered swiftly and was hot and delicious. Quality and fresh! We also ordered wings and ribs for appetisers. They were fabulous! Summer palace is now our first choice for Chinese take away.

Ordered shredded chilli beef x 2 plus egg fried rice x 2. The beef had gone off, un edible, smelt so wrong, tried one piece and had to spit it out. The rice wasn't egg fried rice, it was boiled with some yellow colouring put in it. Dreadful. Rang them up to say about the beef gone off but no offer of refunding us! Never been here before and will never return!!

I love the food from this place, however my meal tonight wasn’t up to the usual standard, chips overcooked, beef chow mein had very little beef in it.

I highly recommend this takeaway, I have eaten twice from here now, once collection and also delivery. The food arrived on time and was hot and fresh, best Chinese in Hereford

We have used the Summer Palace in Hereford for many years, mostly with tasty meals, how ever! In the last 12 months, we have noticed prices going up, quality and portions going down! A few little issues have arisen over that time, to which I have approached the summer palace and they have never been very helpful in there resolve! On a recent visit, we found an issue with our meal, when I approached the takeaway with my concerns, I was met with a frosty and Curt response! Leaving us feeling like we were not a valued customer! Sadly we have decided enough is enough! And we’re not going to use the Summer Palace any more!

Ordered our usual takeaway, as we do most weeks, chicken balls arrived without the curry sauce, rang to say and was very rudely told I didn’t pay for curry sauce and it would be 1.90 to come back out. I did order curry sauce and our meal was the best part of twenty pound. Man on the phone incredibly rude. Lost a loyal customer tonight. Never again.

Ordered a meal, to be told it would be with us within an hour. That's fine, you know what traffic is like in Hereford! Rang back up after waiting nearly an hour and a half for the food to be told that they hadn't even started cooking the food. Atrocious customer service, wouldn't recommend this Chinese at all.

This is by far the best Chinese in town. Always tasty and piping hot. And the delivery is always on time. Thank you

thought we give it a go ..well finding the menu was a task in itself .the curry was like tasteless dishwater and running has it , spring roll has so nuked I could broke concrete with it , how the management are happy for this trash go out the door beyond me

Have heard god and bad things about this takeaway but I can confirm that the service food and quality was well above our expectations. The dishes we had were fresh and full of flavour. Also excellent value for money. Highly recommend.

We regularly have delivery service from Summer Palace. Food is lovely, staff are friendly and it's great value for money.

Following the cinema we thought Chinese...How wrong could we be...We had simple dishes... beef curry for me and sweet and sour chicken for me wife... and share rice and chips.The beef was so incredibly fatty I ate none of it.The sweet and sour sauce was like water and tasted of acid..... One word nasty...There are many more options local... or I would simply not bother again. I have had food from there for many years.. the last few have been poo... but this was pants.Daza rating 1/10

I was very disappointed with the service I received tonight after being a loyal customer for a good few years I will now use another restaurant. I rang and ordered my food at 6pm at 7.10pm it arrived I was told it would take half an hour. When the lady arrived with my order I told her that I would like a reduction on my food bill due to the lateness (I had two hungry children waiting to go to bed) she flatly refused and was not sorry she simply said they had one delivery driver and kept insisting that I would not have been told half an hour it is because of her response towards me that I am writing this review.

The food is just flavourless, and takes forever to arrive. It’s less than a quarter of a mile away from where I live, and yet he gave me some rubbish about a new driver. When I called again a further 13mins later, he said he was here. He clearly wasn’t! When the driver eventually arrived he said he wasn’t a new driver! The long wait could almost be worth it if the food was any good, but it’s bland and tasteless and just not good at all. £17.80 for three dishes, some frozen spring rolls is just poor. Shame there are no proper Chinese restaurants in Hereford! Ordered at 18.44 - arrived at 20.13 - 1 hour and 29mins is crazy.

Ordered a takeaway after long day at work and quite frankly it was shocking - curry was cold sweet and sour looked like it was yesterday’s warmed up and the chips they were certainly yesterday’s. Normally a reliable Chinese but certainly will not be returning.

Una fabulosa comida caliente sabrosa y nos traían sopa de cangrejo y el maíz con carne, pollo chop suey" al platillo, chop suey" al platillo, Gambas galletas saladas, arroz. Estamos considerando la mejor llevar de cualquier tipo que hemos tenido y mejor que la mayoría de los restaurantes. Nos quedamos tan impresionados que llamamos el restaurante para decirles lo mucho que disfrutamos de su cocina y están pidiendo de nuevo!

Ordered over the phone very pleasant lady on the phone taking the orders and it was delivered staight away very nice delivery man, the food is lovely as always really recommended very nice Chinese!

Treated ourselves had the delivery option as well prawn crackers spare ribs sweet and sour chicken with rice chicken chips with curry sauce all lush! All very well cooked and prompt delivery we find the staff very nice to great food and service recommend here!

Came across this Takeaway by accident as it seems to be the only one open on Mondays,Their Meal for 4 feeds at least 6 quite easily with food left over!They are quite happy to substitute their meals for 4 with any other dishes on their menu.Really good value.

Had a couple of takeaways a few times now and very pleased with them had chicken currys, sweet and sour chicken balls, prawn crackers were nice as well pleasant staff really nice size portions food hot and tasty! prices are average would recommend!

Quality of food was not acceptable by the time arrived food was luke warm , time scale of delivery was an hour later than they stated on the phone ( WON'T BE USING THEM AGAIN ) better outlets else where........

Brilliant selection, big portions, very tasty food and great customer service. Can't recommend it enough. We don't go anywhere else anymore because the others we've tried just aren't as good!

For what you would require for a takeaway this place never fails to deliver, hot food, very tasty, delivered swiftly, great value for money and good happy, Honest service. The standards have just never slipped

For rice and noodle dishes then this place hits the mark. Very busy locally, the portion sizes are good value with four mains, rice prawn crackers and one starter totalling £21. Only disappointment are the chicken balls - rats.

Tried here for the first time when our usual haunt Humming Garden was closed. Got to say the food was ready very quickly as you would hope for a takeaway but was also delicious. Had chicken curry, chicken chow mein & vegetable curry - all excellent. Very good value for money also - worth checking out.

By far the best Chinese takeway food I have ever had. Fresh, simple, delicious. Will definitely visit next time I am in Hereford.

Recently had another takeaway from these guys and again just the perfect hot and tasty meal that I expect , I would love it if the owners would open a restaurant as I would most certainly visit, thanks again BEST IN HEREFORD

This take away is called Summer Palace not Summer Palale and is really good and gives generous portions if ordering for 4 people even a set meal for 2 or 3 will be suitable.

You will never be disappointed when you purchase food at the Summer Palace, Great selection of chinese food on the menu. You must try their Spare Ribs the are so lovely, and the crispy beef in sweet and sour sauce is the winner. Great service and very friendly owners. They do offer a delivery service, which woks out very well, it you want to organise a party, without the bother of cooking. A great way to experience oriental cooking in your home, and at prices you can afford.Give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

Summer palace is definatly our favourite Chinese takeaway in Hereford! After trying a number of different places (and being disappointed with most) we tried summer palace and have never looked back! They are always friendly when we phone up and our food is always delivered on time and hot and fresh! We would certainly recommend this Chinese takeaway to others! Delicious!

After searching for a good takeaway for some time with many awful Hereford establishments , this one stands out . Found on a google search food was excellent, had to wait 45mins for delivery but having deliveries in under 10 mins from other takeaways makes me think they actually cook to order and not just one minute meals. We don't order takeaway food to regular but the next time we do will be from this place and have already recommended

All the usual you'd expect at a very reasonable price. Shame it's takeaway only, I used to like eating in. Crispy shredded beef in chilli sauce is my favourite dish @ £4.90.

Had two meals from here in space of couple of weeks. Both were excellent. Really nice ribs, beef melted in mouth & duck dishes very tasty. Service is really fast - hardly time to pop over the road to the pub for a quick drink. Having eaten in Chinese restaurants across the UK and experienced numerous takeaways I can recommend the Summer Palace. They also have special offers on several nights of free ribs & 10% discount - always a winner!!!

Great food, well priced, good sized portions, hot and tasty. Very friendly and helpful staff. Quick service. Would recommend. Also have some good mid week deals to offer.

So are I'm sure you are aware now I love my oriental food, and I love going to the summer palace. It's a lovely place that does great food, they have recently gone from a restaurant to just a takeaway which is a little dissappointing but it doesn't effect the food, as that is still top notch. The only gripes I have is they don't show their opening times very well so I never know when they are open/closed which normally leads me to go elsewhere, which is a shame as I love this place! But all in all, if you are thinking of going there I would recommend it and say go for it! you won't regret it :)

unfortunately my wife and I have never visited the restaurant itself; but without doubt, this is the best chinese meal ( takeaway ) we have ever experienced. We have been having their meals now for approximately 2 years, and they have never let us down.

i have been using summer palace for takeaways for a while now after receiving a disappointing service from some others in hereford. but i can honestly say summer palace is the best i have had in hereford. food looks and tastes fresh, delivery is very fast and food is still hot, not just warm when it arrives. staff are friendly and it is excellent value for money! fully recommend!

I've now had 3 takeaways from the Summer Palace over the past 2 months. Each one has provided consistently high quality Chinese and Thai dishes. All dishes have been well prepared with good quality ingredients and portion sizes are ample.Out of all the dishes my family and I have tried I could only pick fault with 1 - slightly over cooked and dry spare ribs but the rest have been faultless. I've had no experience of the poor service reported before. In fact I'd say it's been excellent, friendly, efficient and completely error free. Well priced with a range of weekly offers to cap it off. Haven't found better Chinese takeaway in Herefordshire and I would strong recommend it !!

Very badly run but it is redeemed by well priced good food. When making a phone order expect to turn up and find they have not started to cook your food and they have no clue as to whay has been ordered. Hot crispy beef and Singapore noodles are outstanding. Just be prepared to wait, with groups of hungry people.

we have had several takeaways from the Summer Palace over the last six months and I really don't think you can beat the flavour of the dishes. Wednesdays and Thursdays are amazing value - three dishes for a tenner - yes £10. got to admit though we always have a couple of extra bits to our order

I walked a long way to find it thinking, due to various reviews, this was a restaurant - its not its a takeaway but 100 yards further down the road is an Indian -Kamal Tandoori Restaurant. They saved the day. Well spiced sauces and an absence of of excessive colouring. Nice staff

Come here regulary. Very friendly staff. All you can eat buffet cooked fresh each order. Food seems fresh and always tasty. Friends impressed. Feel at home here. House wine not great though.Recommended.
