The restaurant owner could not have been more friendly, sweet and passionate about his craft! We loved our food, everything arrived hot and on time too. Really authentic and lovely staff.

This restaurant was such a lucky find. Me and my family were searching for a place after craving an indian for so long and we came across The Spice Minister. We got the garlic chilli chicken, Lamb Korai, Butter chicken and plain and garlic naan. The naan was steaming hot and so fresh and the curry was just fabulous. The chicken and meat is always tender yet so flavourful and the sauce matches beautifully with the naan. This restaurant deserves so much more recognition for the food and the customer service. The workers were so friendly, polite and welcoming and they maintained such a clean environment. The owners even tended to us and ensuring we had a great time. We will definitely be coming back!

We actually had our food delivered so didn't eat in the restaurant but I wanted to add a review simply because it was so good! I had Chicken Chilli Masala and in the notes when ordering you can say or ask anything you like so I asked: "Please can you make it extra spicy, vindaloo hot would be good, thank you.)" I was hopeful but having been disapointed with delivered food from other places so many times, remained slightly pessimistic. Once it had arrived (which was quick too) we started sharing the containers out and I opened the lid of mine.... The aroma was astonishing, beautiful, I couldn't believe it. Obviously I then got my family members to have a sniff and their faces turned from scepticism to wow in the same way mine had. (They don't trust me as I like things very spicy). So, now to taste and spice levels... Another wow! flavours were complex and we felt confident that we detected coconut in there along with the mix of herbs and spices which balanced the sauce wonderfully. Heat was exactly as I had requested (thank you) and built nicely providing the pleasant tingle that I crave. I have eaten some fantastic currys in my time, having spent most Saturday nights in the mid 90s the Balti belt in Birmingham and I have to say this was one of, if not the, best currys I have ever eaten. I don't think I have stopped going on about it and it was yesterday so my wife is tiring of my enthusiasm. I have been banished to the office so I am writing this review insread of boring her but honestly, spectacular and definitely the best I have had in over 30 years.

Great curry and the staff were lovely. The two Brummie will be visiting again soon.

We had a takeaway from here which was amazing, the flavour of the curries was superb, tender land and chicken with all the sundries, highly recommended and the owner told us to come and sit in at some point.

Me, my mother and father went here tonight. Fantastic little restaurant. The host was absolutely fatalistic and the hospitality was amazing very welcoming and warming. My mothers order was wrong initially but they offered her the correct order as a complementary take away which I think is a great touch my mother was very thankful for this. She enjoyed her meal regardless, we all did. The food is very nice and customer service is next to none and highly recommend whats more to say try it out.

Don't normally do reviews but just had the best curry of my life from here, also their own special rice was great. Picked up as a takeaway as stopping over whilst I am working in the area and now wish I was back next week. Oh & free poppadom's and accoutrements.

A lovely little restaurant, the food was tasty, beautifully prepared and well presented. The whole experience was enhanced by the very friendly owner who was helpful and attentive throughout. Looking forward to returning soon.

By far one of The Best curry restaurants and takeaway in the UK. Meat is tender, fresh, cooked to order, spice is right, tasty not bland, served piping hot, rice is fluffy and delicious, naan breads are soft and breaks easily, still moist, curry is not oily like other places, never had a bad meal from Spice Minister. Well done keep up the good work gentlemen.

Had such a fantastic dinner here last night. Can’t stop thinking about it. Rarely feel this compelled to write a review. We over-ordered as planned on having leftovers today, but it was so good, we ate the lot! My partner and I are both curry snobs so it’s rare we find a dish we both love, let alone every single dish on the table (chicken chilli masala, Nawabi, lamb biriyani, saag paneer, onion bahji, lamb samosa and peshwari naan). Everything was so tasty and the right level of spice - hot, but didn’t blow your brains out. Even the biriyani curry, which can be a bit hit and miss in a lot of places, could have been a standalone dish in itself! Staff also so so lovely and couldn’t have done enough for us. We stumbled across this purely as we are visiting for a friends wedding in Hereford, but are already planning on coming back again. Haven’t had a curry this good in years. Thoroughly recommend. Thank you!

The food was amazing, what made it particularly standout is that it didn't have any of the seperated oil that you often get with Indian curries. Fresh well cooked food and friendly prompt service (takeaway)

First time in Hereford at the races, just happened to walk past this place and wow we was in for a treat. One of the best curry’s I’ve ever had and the hospitality was amazing. Ahmed made our experience so good and catered for every need. Didn’t sell beer but he went out his own way to go and get it for us. Food was amazing especially the onion barghi which he recommended. Honestly highly recommended this place. Thank you for such a good meal 👍

First thing was the restaurant was nice and warm inside on what was a chilli evening outside. The member of staff at 'front of house' was polite, attentive and informative. A real nice guy. The food was plentiful and good quality. All topped with 'take you own alcohol', which helped to make it an affordable meal out. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will be returning. Happy customer. Well done staff at The Spice Minister.

Beautiful interior very clean, looking spotless. The staff are very attentive and have very good product knowledge. The food is , as always of superb quality very well arranged and looked very appetising. The taste always exceeds my expectations and I always am happy with every aspect of service from this great establishment. The finest Indian food in Hereford in my opinion. Tonight was our first eat in meal here as normally we have takeaway, eating in just ups the quality of the food even more. I really can’t say anything bad about this venue.

After hearing glowing reviews we visited Spice Minister and I have to say we were certainly not disappointed! From start to finish the whole experience was amazing. The meal was absolutely delicious, piping hot and freshly cooked and with our eyes bigger than our bellies we even went home with more to enjoy later. Our friendly host Ahmed went out of his way to make the whole visit even more enjoyable, I don’t normally leave reviews but this place definitely deserves 5*. Thank you for a lovely evening- we will be back!

This is the first time I have visited spice minister....what a hidden little gem this place is. The service is fantastic, so polite, friendly and professional. The food is absolutely amazing. I had a prawn chilli massalla and is the best Indian dish I've ever had. This will definitely be my go to Indian from now on.

We came here as a group for a weekend away and the staff were very accommodating. The service was fantastic and the food was beautiful. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back if we are in the area again. The food is very reasonably priced and they allow BYOB so it makes for a very cheap and tasty meal!

We used Spice Minister for the first time last night for a takeaway. It was absolutely fantastic and very reasonable. There was 6 of us and we had poppadoms, dips, curries rice and naan’s and couldn’t fault any of it. Will definitely be back and try a sit in meal.

Only the best authentic indian restaurant in this city. Every food is made with love. Perfect combination of curry with indian spices. More importantly the food is halal. Their tandoori chicken is the one i loved most. Other than that the biriyani daal chicken curry pilao and rice everything is made perfectly. Worth to visi or order home delivery. Almost 2-3days a week i take away food from there. Always the same taste which i like most.

We like to have an Indian when we go on our travels and as we had been to the races during the day, we stayed in Hereford for the night and wanted a curry, we luckily stumbled upon this little gem. The staff were so accommodating, attentive and knowledgeable about the food they were serving, nothing was too much trouble for them. The menu had a wide selection to suit anybody, the food was prepared quickly and was absolutely delicious. We had a Masala Tea to finish, something I have never tried before and I loved it. If there is a downside it would be that they do not serve alcohol but they do allow you to bring your own. Thank you for a lovely evening, we will definitely be returning on our next visit.

We are here on holiday and wish we could take Spice Minster home with us. The young man who served us was exceptional. The food wonderful and we need to add that all the indian restaurants we have visited over the years we have never had a naan bread so fresh, still steaming from the oven. An excellent evening, we would give 10 ⭐️if we could. Thank you 😊

I met Sam several years ago whilst he was working taxi. Sam is such a true gentleman returning a very engagement ring to a lady I she lost that in the taxi. Walking past last night I ascertained Sam opened 'Spice Minister, so today mother and I ordered from there, we were not disappointed and I'm vegetarian, shall be ordering from there more regularly! Yum yum ♥️👌

The food was great, prepared and service on time. The service was pleasant from the reception staff to the cook. The surroundings are clean, comfortable and relaxing. We would fully recommend this restaurant.

We have been using the Spice Minister for takeaway meals ever since it opened, and it has always been excellent. But tonight's order was just by far the best Indian meal we have ever had. Everything was perfect and we cannot praise the chef and his staff enough. Please pass on our compliments to everyone involved and the owners. We were so impressed and cannot recommend this restaurant/takeaway enough! You will not find better anywhere.

Visited this place whilst staying in Hereford for work. Was looking for a halal place and was glad to find this. It has a sit in area for about 15-20 people. The food was lovely and the service was amazing. Authentic tasting Indian cuisine. Fabulous find.
