Summer Palace in Dundee City

I was really disappointed with my recent order and felt let down by the whole experience. The food took two hours to arrive, which was frustrating enough. I ordered a munchie box, and things only got worse from there — the entire box was wet and soggy when it arrived. Every item inside had lost its texture and flavour, leaving it almost completely inedible. I was genuinely looking forward to the meal, but unfortunately, it went straight in the bin. A real shame, as I had expected far better.

Soup was bland and didnt taste good. Chicken in peking sauce sauce was just syrup flavoured water that no anount of rice could make it looking anything less than a soupy slop sweet n sour sauce that came with starters was heavily tasting of vinegar.

Loved this Chinese takeaway for years. Sadly my order tonight wasn’t to their usual standard and binned the majority of it.

Food is always good from here. The beef chow mein is brilliant and the curry sauce is spot on

People actually saying in reviews this place is 10/10 got to be having a laugh !! Worst Chinese in dundee . Curry to sweet , salt and pepper chicken and chips that tastes like just plain chicken and chips no flavour what so ever . 100% rank rotten

Quick delivery - great. Unfortunately the rice was freezing cold, chicken balls tasted stale, satay was tasteless and chicken had a weird texture. The chilli crispy beef was nice but was the only part of the meal that could be eaten.

Ordered half 6.They said they delivered it by 7:45 but never came till 8:30. Bag was wet chips freezing, spring rolls where damp like the little wasn’t closed properly and the curry sauce was like sement. The mars bars were good. I’d like a refund.

no notification from Summer palace , had to call myself. even then still took a further 20 mins. was about to go to bed when it finally arrived. Left half of it.

The timing was 2hours and 49 minutes and came cold with barely any food in it

I ordered food at 4.30 phoned restaurant at 5.50 to be told it was on the way food never arrived until 6.20 and was freezing cold ,I spent over £30 ,restaurant said they were a driver short

lack of updates from restaurant on progress ie out for delivery. sons meal was not what he ordered.

Do not recommend the munchy box, not worth the money, found a random chicken nugget in ours. Chips were stale.

I’m not happy with my order cause it’s not what I ordered and I’m pregnant and not a fan of spicy foods and I don’t like onions either and have just had to go and order myself another meal from somewhere else I would like to request a refund as I won’t be eating this meal I have screenshotted what I actually ordered and took a pic of what I received just for proof I’m not lying

Half hour late and completely wrong order. Sad cos we use this place all the time and it's usually extremely good!

I think we were last customers, whole order was near inedible. spring rolls were black on ends well over cooked and covered in greese, chips were just crisp no potatoe again over cooked. salt & pepper chicken was solid (teeth smashing). won't be back over priced and definitely not a 4.3* more like a 1.5/2* at a push.

Got something completely wrong food items

The food wasn’t good at all. It was dried out and next to no sauce ( the small amount of sauce was laying at the bottom of the tub ) . The tubs were only half full. I would advise you to try somewhere else before the summer palace .. sadly We won’t be ordering again.

My go to dish Special Fried Rice wasn't special at all. Hardly any neat and ZERO King Prawns. The worst I've had annywhere

i placed an order but had to phone them. they said there was no number on the adress and pointed to just eat,can you check to see if the adress is 6 balunie street thank you.

food all tasted reheated and well overcooked, chicken in curry tasted off all food went in the bin, request a refund but heard nothing back. definitely won't be ordering again

Food was awful and turned up like warm... Noodles oily and mushy, boiled rice and curry sauce stuck together, spring rolls dry and hard and chickenballs were tiny and rock solid. Won't be back.

This is the first time I have eaten from Summer Palace and I can not say a bad word about them or their food. Their food was absolutely delicious. There was quick indoor service. And the staff are very friendly. For a first time experience this is had me very happy and I will definitely be using again 😁

Food was cold, peking chicken had more onions than chicken, sauce was pink and bland, chicken was very odd and cut into triangle shapes, sweet and sour soup wasn't nice, other chicken dish was cold and bland, would not recommend

My new favourite. The prices are amazing for the quality and portion sizes of food you get. If your like me and prefer proper fried beef then this is your place to go. I can't remember the last time I had actual fringing steak in a curry and not that chewy, swollen horrible beef. The chips also come crispy and not soggy. Big win on that! I asked for hot (spicy) curry sauce and it came spicy. Delivery time was quoted 10pm and it was at my door within 20mins.
