The main pet of the meal was excellent, but the salt & pepper chips weren’t as strong tasting as they usually are. Hopefully this will be sorted on the next order. Thank you for a nice meal tho.

What's unique about this gaff is that gravy. It's friggin' tasty! Ain't ordered extensively but what I have ordered, which is mainly the traditional Chinese gear adapted for the white man's palette, has never failed to make me say, 'Yeah, that's nice, that."

Worst egg fried rice EVER so bland

Chips not fully cooked, very little chicken in the dish I ordered, only thing of portion size was the egg fried rice, £13 of which most went in the bin!

Lovely meal, always a nice meal from Summer Palace. Ordered earlier than expected which was nice. Delivery person didn’t ring the doorbell, only knocked lightly, heard a car door so checked the ring doorbell camera to see someone stood at the door.

chow main was ment to be dry. it was flooded with sose..if that was dry bit sure u want to see version with sose... shredded beef was nice

Not a lot in one of the meals shredded chilli beef, chicken fried rice was a bit dry, BBQ ribs were in a pink sauce and were cold. Curry sauce was ok but needed warming up in the microwave as it was like glue. Not sure I will order from here again, unless no where else open.

Felt like the order was thrown together, which is why they got it to us so quickly. Chicken balls were like rocks on the inside. The ribs were not the peking ones we ordered, they were in a really hot chilli sauce and inedible. Even my son who enjoys spicy food couldn't eat them. It's such a shame, as I was really looking forward to some lovely sweet peking ribs for my belated birthday meal, but I couldn't eat them. The other food was OK but not to their usual standard. Won't be ordering again.

The only place that does mock chicken in st helens, the other foods nice too. thumbs up from me!

I found Summer Palace when our “usual” Chinese wasn’t accepting orders. This is the second time I have ordered from Summer Palace and we have been really impressed both times. The service is great and the food is amazing! This is now our new favourite takeaway! :))

Ordered here before and would defo order again! Delivery was earlier than scheduled even on NYE! Food is delicious!

1st time ordering and will be last, Food luke warm at best, main meal very bland (defo wasn’t a chilli sauce) and the S&P chips had no onion/peppers and just tasted like plain ones. Very disappointing

Food took 2 hours and was cold, since when was 2 hour's acceptable. 45 mins late from stated time. Still 1 hour and 15 for a premium service is shocking. Won't be ordering from here again.

I placed the order in plenty of time to get it delivered on time

Food was stone cold and undercooked, even something as simple as the chips were undercooked, tasted like they had made the food delivered it elsewhere and it had been sent back then they sent it back out, absolutely shocking will not order again.

Avoid this place they are a disgrace to Chinese takeaways. I ordered Cumin and Chilli beef as I'd ordered a different takeaway two weeks ago and all ok. This time the dish was half way down the container and all shriveled and when tasted it was like it was reheated or previous rejection and re-served to me. The portions are smaller and when I contacted the staff member said just ask Just Eat for a refund no offer to collect or replace. See the pictures I paid £7.40 for that. Absolute garbage. Do not use, I hope they go bust, with awful attitude and rubbish old small food 🤮

Great tasty food and not greasy or over seasoned.

The soup leaked upon delivery and was floating in the bottom of the bag. the combi meal was ruined due to the soup leaking inside its cardboard box. It all had to go into the bin. No refund issued upon our complaint nor any acknowledgement hence poor feedback unfortunately. We have ordered from here for years now so very disappointed with the outcome.

Such a shame, if they made the effort the food could be brilliant. The food was 30 mins late, and not even warm by the time it arrived. Total waste of £20. The crispy seaweed was soggy, ribs were dry as well as the chicken wings and the spring rolls were soggy. The chow mien was just a bowl of greasy noodles with some sliced onion, about 10 bean sprouts and matchstick pieces of meat.

I live locally to the Summer Palace but would still certainly frequent there if I lived further away. I order pretty regularly from here and would recommend highly, everything I've eaten from here has been tasty and full of flavour.

Advertised as 35-50 mins, arrived 1 hr 30 min later. Soup was nice, Beef Fried Rice tasted strange, Curry Sauce was tasteless and quite runny. Very disappointed overall :-(

Lovely food just disappointed that I spend nearly £40 and didn’t order prawn crackers as I thought we got them free, ordered less from here and got them free before now. I would have ordered them if I’d known.

Firstly, I can find fault anywhere. So I had almost given up on finding a decent takeaway on just eat. I ordered the deep fried combo starter and the special chow mien, the starter was fantastic, my only slight let downs were the chicken wings were a bit plain and the fried seaweed was soft but I’d still order them again. I ordered The special chow mien without sauce and it was really nice. The chicken pieces were a bit small but it was still nice. For the price I really enjoyed it.

If i could rate zero i would! DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!! FOOD WAS DISGUSTING. Curry was green and vile salt and pepper chicken was soggy chips were oven chips and not cooked fully. Crispy chilli beef was awful like slop the whole meal was inedible wouldnt feed it to my dog. And when inrang to complain staff couldnt care less. Need closing down ASAP!!

I have had two meals from here, one set meal, and one starters with meal. Both were equally delicious, so quick too. I recommend this Chinese.

Absolutely tripe. Do not order from this takeaway. Chicken was dry and like rubber S&P Ribs were full of sugar and no meat. Chow Mein gave me the eartha kits Portions are microscopic thankfully. Be warned. You will regret it

food was cold duck springs are not crispy and there are no meat inside.... won ton oversalted cold and not fresh for sure small portions beef taste not fresh! the only thing what I eat is just bbq ribs witch tiny dose of sauce rest in the bin not reccomend it will never order again from this shop...

Awful, food took over an hour and half to come and was freezing and soggy when arrived. Reviews do not match the food. However delivery driver was lovely and apologetic for the wait time.

Chips were not cooked, salt and pepper chips had no flavour at all. Crispy shredded chicken was cold, dry and rock hard and had no sauce. ‘ Crispy noodles’ were basically just uncooked noodles. All of it went straight in the bin.

Great place to order and the food is always the best and the best Chinese in st Helen’s, the delivery drivers are great too.

Rice noodles with curry wasn’t advertised as having egg or meat in it but just in case, I made a note on the order for no egg and no meat however it did have egg in it. Salt pepper chips were really poor and cold and the delivery was 35 mins late bear in mind I ordered prior to opening too.

Loads of onions & no other veg. Prawns cheap & like rubber. Had to put the chips in the air fryer as they were undercooked.
