Summer Lotus in South Norfolk

The container size recently reduced by 1/3 (pic enclosed) what a rather despicable practice this is. It insults my intelligence. Very expensive for what it was. VFM isn’t great. Cost £12.00 I’d say thats £9.00 profit. Massively overpriced in my opinion. I’d use again but ‘no where near’ as often as I could. The owners are driven by profit at any cost. When should a customer stop using a service who’s forgotten the importance of value for money?

Used this takeaway 3x now. I order online and pick up. Never had any problems.

Friendly staff and food is prepared super fast, although I order and pay online now for convenience. Price had gone up since I'd last ordered, over £40 for a meal for 3. Still recommended.

Ordered 5 dishes. All piping hot and freshly cooked very happy, would I go again? Definitely, and I'm fussy, proper English style Chinese food 👍

Takeaway food is always good quality and very tasty I recommend

Giving it a 3 stars as the food was ok but nothing special. We ordered the mock meat in schezuan sauce, and crispy chilli chicken. It was good to have the mock meat as an option however I think I would have preferred a quorn option for vegetarian option. Both dishes came with little sauce and were only luke warm. Service was very quick however and great parking available too.

Excellent takeaway, really good flavours with the meat cooked in the sauce and not just added as an afterthought, great chilli dishes and nice large chunks of onions and peppers in the sauces. Very handy being local and also has easy parking outside. We have been to many Chinese takeaways in the past and rate this one near the top.

Summer Lotus Chinese take away was really lovely. My family always have their take aways here. They cater for large numbers as well.

Nice Chinese, good food and quick service - feel like slightly more expensive than other local alternatives.

Usually really enjoy a meal from here but tonight was terrible! The king prawns were full of grit and the ‘pork’ in our yeung chow fried rice was nothing but gristle and fat. Hard to put my finger on the problem with the rest of the meal but everything just tasted a bit wrong. Doubt we’ll be ordering from here again, such a shame.

We always order online to collect at a specified time which is great for convenience. The food is always delicious, but like everything in the current climate, the prices keep creeping up.

This was a surprise, summer lotus is an excellent Chinese takeaway, surprise because it’s next to the worst fish and chip shop you will find!

The best Chinese meal we have ever had. Such a pity we live 140 miles away or would be here every week.

We came last weekend, the food was lovely, the front lady was very friendly, must recommend this Chinese take away!

Food was fine and speedily prepared but I found the lady front of house, abrupt as a minimum and rude as a maximum... including to those phoning in orders. Be interested to know if they have lost custom as a result...

Visited while staying on holiday in the area - not as good as my local back home but still pretty decent, would recommend for a takeaway in Mulbarton.

Used many times, fast, friendly and the food is always hot and tasty.

Just had the most amazing Chinese, ordered on line, ready in half hour, everything was gorgeous, nice and hot and plenty in the portions, this is our 4th visit and never disappointed.

Bloody brilliant chinese. Ordered chilli chips, salt and pepper chicken and vegetable spring rolls, food was fresh, cooked perfectly as and full of flavour. 10/10 meal Highly recommend

Had our first takeaway from Summer Lotus this evening and it won't be our last. Everything was presented perfectly and looked so fresh and clean. Very impressive. Oh - and it was de-lic-ious!!!!!

I cannot faint the food here. It’s the best chinese food i have ever had. They do fab chips too!! Lovely staff. Just such a shame it isn’t open on Sunday’s but they would be if they could be.

AVOID. Got home to find 2 dishes missing. Most places would offer to give you some sort of goodwill gesture for their mistake - but no. Poor customer service. Food is only average. Won’t be using again.

Just had a mixed starter and chicken chow mein, not awful is a fair description. Crispy seaweed was far from crispy and chow mein was bland and cold, the rest of the meal was fairly enjoyable.

Well cooked and a good varied menu. Great value cost wise pity about no delivery option.

I have never been disappointed with the food from here. The staff are very friendly too.

I always use their online order facility as they can get pretty busy. Never had any errors with the orders even when really busy. Staff are always friendly and polite. Food is great and always tastes fresh. Lovely and clean too.
