Enjoyable meal overall. I had the salmon teriyaki, and it was sweet, savory, and flaky. Would’ve liked faster refills on drinks, but food made up for it.

The presentation of the flavour of their food and the interest of waiter friends made us happy with more. Grilled fish were great. We'll keep coming here:)

I ordered 3 dishes (cost close to £60) two of them came in a large box with rice and bulgur, yet one came in a small try with not much inside! Felt a bit left out and hungry. Also the last time I ordered take away, they got my order wrong. Guess it’s better to eat in

unreasonable, extortionate prices, food is too expensive, half a pint for £6, a full pint in a pub is £5, should lower prices, no reason to be so high

We had dinner at Sumak. The service was pleasant—staff were welcoming and helpful, which we appreciated. However, the food unfortunately did not meet our expectations. I ordered the lamb casserole, but it didn’t taste like lamb at all. Either it wasn’t lamb, or it was from an old cut that resembled chewy beef. The meat was tough, full of sinew, and difficult to chew. My husband had the Beyti, which was also disappointing and it was average in quality.

Me and my wife just visited this place and were served by 2 outstanding waiters (Alina and Ryan). Honestly, they were just so kind and accommodating and made us have such a wonderful time! We were also fasting and they provided us with dates and food served just in time to break our fast. The food was amazing, I really recommend the lamb bayti and sutlac for dessert. I will definitely be coming back here with my family!

5 stars all round but excels with its complimentary homemade bread and sauces. Garlic sauce was deliciously yoghurty and garlicky with chopped herbs and the chili sauce was rich with tomato pulp and crushed fresh chilies and herbs. Bread was best I’ve ever had at a Turkish restaurant spongey and with a delicate topping. Lamb shish was succulent and super tasty and Adana was toast too. Crunchy red cabbage cucumber and tomato salad was tasty too.

I ordered delivery and it was one of the most tasteless food I’ve ever had. Adana was under seasoned and bland. Chicken shish pieces were cut so chunky that some of them were still pink inside. Overall a very disappointing order given the relative high price.

Wonderful food, friendly quick service, and wonderful atmosphere. I give it top marks. Only let down is it's on the main road, and it's a nightmare to find a parking spot.

The quality of the food has been changed and also not checking your vegetables before deliver it to your client that’s wrong, I always order lentil soup for years but lately change address further center, I thought be far to reach hot. indeed, problem start with driver who was entering wrong roads back and forwards for few time, and receive warmish soup no tasty as before with off vegetable 🥺

Unreal service alongside some top tier prices! Got the two person sharer which was super generous portion wise, with reasonable price, the food was next level too! Can’t wait to go back!

Absolutely loved this restaurant- you felt welcomed as soon as you walked through the door. The decor of the restaurant is reminiscent of Cappadocia or Santorini cave hotels. The food was divine- beautifully cooked lamb shish. They bring you bread and salad to start and turkish delight at the end. The waiting staff were amazing- it's because of them that I'm giving a 5 star reviews- super friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend.

Absolutamente me encantó este restaurante - se sintió bienvenido tan pronto como entró por la puerta. La decoración del restaurante recuerda a los hoteles de Capadocia o de la cueva de Santorini. La comida era divina - shish de cordero muy bien cocinado. Te traen pan y ensalada para empezar y delicia turca al final. El personal de espera era increíble - es debido a ellos que estoy dando una crítica de 5 estrellas - super amable y atento. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente.

I was told by a staff member that lentil soup is quite thick and proper lentil soup, however it’s more watery than thick and lacks flavor. Wouldn’t order again

Called the restaurant before ordering on just eat to clarify if lentil soup is thick and made properly I was assured it was proper but then I received more watery than thick soup which lacked flavor and definitely wasn’t made properly like I was told. That was the reason I called the restaurant not to receive watery soup like tasteless liquid but I was kind of deceived

The best Turkish food I have had in Harringey and I have tried most of them. Shared a shared platter with some friends, meat was cooked really well with lovely flavor and there is enough to feed you twice over. The service was great any time the bread or dips ran out they were refreshed in seconds. Highly recommend

Fui introducido por primera vez a Sumak por un amigo hace unos 2 años. Desde entonces es el único restaurante turco que frecuento. El servicio es excelente, el personal es amable, atento y no le importa que haga cambios en la comida. Por ejemplo, prefiero las patatas fritas al arroz, no hay problema. He estado en otros restaurantes donde me cobran extra por tales cambios. La calidad de la comida y la cocina es excelente. La ensalada también merece una mención honorífica: una buena variedad, finamente picada y siempre fresca. Como alguien con discapacidad tengo que mencionar el inodoro con discapacidad, la altura del inodoro es más alta que la mayoría y por lo tanto más fácil de levantarse. Lo más importante es que si el piso está mojado (agua), las baldosas no son resbaladizas. Me he encontrado con muchos otros restaurantes donde los pisos de baldosas húmedas han sido como pistas de hielo. Finalmente Sumak's ofrece un gran servicio de comida para llevar.

Lamb Ribs 19.95 seven substantial ribs with rice, bulgur wheat, salad and bread. As a lamb ribs fan, I was very satisfied and impressed with the price which is very competitive compared to prices in Green Lanes near me. Glad I took a chance on Sumak and would order again.

Los propietarios han gastado dinero sin sentido en asientos nuevos, mesas, cubiertos cuando lo que había antes estaba bien. ¿Por qué pedir a los clientes que paguen por esto? Otros lo han mencionado, pero el servicio no está tan alerta como solía estarlo. ¡El negocio local de restaurantes es muy competitivo!

Love their food. Quick preparation, clean, tasty and good value for money.

The best and I mean the best Adana I've ever tried and I've tried adana in almost everywhere in North London including Hala, Gokyuzu, Kervan, capital, aksular, crystals, crouch end best kebab etc ( I could go on...). You can tell they use top quality lamb as it doesn't have the lamb after taste that you get with others. Incredible seasoning and to top it off, the rice is outstanding and the bread with the tomato paste is something completely different to other Turkish places, absolutely delicious! HIGHLY RECOMMEND peeps!

Still the worst. Rude person on the phone (said he was manager) who charged us (£15 or £19.90 depending on pick up/uber eats) for this so called "hot mixed Mezze platter". Probably one of the worst to date. The sucuk sausage was practically charcoal. AVOID. £42 total cost for a starter basically

A bit underwhelming. The food (a shish kebab and a meze) was fine but not exceptional and was over-priced. The welcome at the door was good but a waiter who can't show a smile was disappointing.

Better than any restaurant on Green Lanes! This is my second time at Sumak and I’m just so impressed by everything. The restaurant is really spacious and has nice ambient lighting. They have a mix of smaller and larger tables so perfect setup for a meal with a friend or a larger group. We ordered a large platter for 4 but it could honestly feed 6. They’re very generous with portions and I like that! The meat itself was succulent and the lamb chops were extremely tender. Not easy to get those right but they did and more. The wings were juicy too and the bread was warm and I enjoyed the mezes. Oh and the waiters were great too! Very attentive, friendly and made us feel welcome. I’m so glad this is a restaurant near me and I will definitely be going here often.

I love this restaurant! The first time I visited Sumak was in 2017, and since then, I've been returning all the time. Ibrahim, the owner, is amazing! He is always present, making sure that everyone feels welcomed and satisfied. Additionally, the staff is so friendly; I love that I never have to wait for them to assist me with something. They are all efficient, fast, and always smiling! The food is amazing! I never regret eating there; the portions are big, which I love because we can take it home if we don't finish. I truly recommend this restaurant; it is one of my favorites!

Food had leaked all over the bag and oil was everywhere

Sumak was our favourite Turkish restaurant of all time. The food is still amazing, however the last time we were there, it appears they have stopped serving the delicious bread and salad that is customary in most Turkish restaurants... and was one of our favourite parts of dining there. Now you get a very small portion of both on the side of your plate when your main course arrives. This seems incredibly mean spirited and unnecessary, considering Sumak is one of the priciest Turkish restaurants in the area. We won't be visiting again unless they go back to the experience they gave their customers before. A shame.

The food is delicious, environment is clean and the staff are amazing, especially the manager. The kids get sweet after meals so, they always want to go back.

I usually love sumak, and was only here on 20th Jan and again yesterday 3rd feb and in between those 2 dates they have new staff and a whole new serving system with smaller portions. We were sat on the other side of the restaurant and had one lady waitress for the section compared to 3-4 for the other side. She wasn’t very smiley and when we questioned the change of service she just said we changed it - with an ‘end of’! Approach. It’s really put me off visiting again and after letting friends know of this experience they have too said if it stays like this they will no longer visit either. Really sad for it to change as it use to be such a friendly place to go when friends and family of all ages.

Have been to this restaurant several times and always enjoyed the food. Lots of healthy salads and starters and good fish too. Staff are helpful and friendly and there is always a nice atmosphere and nice mix of clientele and atmosphere.

Really nice adana kebab but for about 14 pounds plus delivery and a service fee for just one kebab is ridiculous especially when most places like Divan give you two kebabs for that price.

Someone I have worked with introduced me to this place two years ago. I have been a regular customer since. The food is fresh and tasty. Price reasonable and always a friendly staff. Me and my partner also introduced our friends to dine here and they love it! Special thanks to the owner who always greats us with a big smile! Thank you and see you soon!

I had the lamb in hummous! Really really yummy with that wonderful smokiness you get with a charcoal grill. Complimentary bread and salad! Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Great place to host large dinners. If you love cheesy wall decorations, the panoramic murals of European heritage sites are very enjoyable to gawk at :)

Food is classic Bulgar/Turkish, good, but for what it is a bit pricey! Service was okay. I would be a regular but it’s too pricey for that.

Portion sizes have shrunk and prices increased. Won’t be ordering again which is a shame as food is good. Just not worth the money now!

I have been coming to this restaurant for many years and bringing my family. The food is great and so is the service although it has always felt a bit of a ‘fast food’ experience and the bill is delivered very swiftly. The downside is however, that every time I go in the prices go up and at £17 for a small kebab, I chose to walk out before ordering. I feel that the restaurant is constantly testing the market price wise and for me on this occasion they have pushed it to the limit. I know that prices and costs are going up but I crossed the road and went to the Belash Indian restaurant where I had an excellent main course for £10 with very much the same ingredients and a glass of wine for £5.50. I will miss the restaurant but feel that no longer competitively priced

One of my favourite Turkish restaurants, friendly staff . Very good value. Edit 2/9/21 : the food was good and staff were very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately after 4 years of patronage I've decided to boycott this establishment. The duty manager was very rude and condescending when I mispronounced the name of a mezze. I can't see any point in paying for an expensive meal if I am going to get abused. Unless there is an apology I am afraid this is my stance. Edit 2023 The manager apologised for his conduct, I have visited the restaurant, and i am glad to say my experience was pleasant this time!
