Sultans Restaurant in Bradford

Ordered the keema aloo which was nice however before we even got started on the starters we had the mains so had to rush through the food before it got cold. Ran out of chips and naan.

I heard that this is the best curry house in Bradford so my expectations were high. However the curry was ok. I asked what they would recommend and they said that the lamb chop curry was popular. The flavours were average. The fish pakora was also recognised but it wasnt crispy although the flavours were nice. Overall i was left slightly underwhelmed.

Looked after us for an iftari meal. 14 of us and they arranged for us to come at a time when there wasn't the rush which was appreciated. Been meaning to try this place and the meat masala was soo good. Will definitely come back. Thank you.

Food is a bit overhyped in this place. Portion sizes were tiny and service was lacking. Orders a large curry which sent to us in a small plate. Our curry got served Luke warm as if it was microwaved and then rested:

Ordered Koftay (meatballs), chicken Tikka masala and biryani. Everything was delicious and kids loved it. Friendly service with free parking and comfortable seating.

Did not like the food.ordered chicken biryani and chicken karahi it tasted like both dishes were made out of the same masala. Karahi was too dry biryani did not taste like the biryani. Starters were okay Waiter was inpatient. Food wasn't worth the money!!

AVOID AVOID AVOID I'll start with the positives: ample parking and a great location. Starters: Chicken pakoras didn't have much flavour but was a generous portion. The samosas were large and tasted fresh. Onto the mains and the truth about the restaurant.. We ordered their "award winning" chicken masala. It was absolutely terrible. It was totally bland and flavourless. The service is SO POOR. There's an old man running around doing everything and a young gormless child who stands around like a statue doing nothing. Food is brought out and slammed down on the table. There's no smiles or conversation. Furthermore, no one even asks you how your food is. I complained about the awful curry and they took it back, reheated it and brought it back. I can't express how poor it was. Upon paying, it was the same horrible abysmal service. £35.00 I will never see again. I hope you all enjoy it, you clearly take pride in scamming people on TikTok and serving awful food. Please save your time energy and money and don't bother going here.

this place is amazing, proper homemade kinda food, great service, the guy was really good with our little one who wanted to scribble on his pad, the food is always very well cooked, and service is amazing. the food is not overpriced. the potions are for one person and come with salad, sauce, and chapatis. deserts are brill and so is their chutney.

Where to start ? Very family orientated place which is pleasent , atmosphere is great nice and calm, customer service was exceptional , food was served very quick which was pleasing. To the main bit lets be honest iv been here multipul times now and genuinley speaking nobody does better currys than sultan and i say this with utmost confident Cracking food !

Price has gone up. Portion size has stayed small. Speed is brilliant. Menu is very limited but that's not a negative if you like what they have.

Started with sheek kebabs and samosas...both reasonable For mains we had chicken and the meat....both came at same time with the starters...felt like it was rushed through...tasted nice just needed to be a bit warmer..5 of us...15 pounds each which is reasonable ..

Beautiful food always come from shakehouse to get for the workers , this Is a place I always recommend to anyone asking about Asian food in Bradford area !!

I see a fair few others with very similar experiences to others. Food is good, portions very small. Service is disgusting. Even asking for more water is a crime here, so asked for a few containers for take out, waiter huffs and puffs make a face walks off. Comes back with the containers throws them on the table and walks off. Absolute joke.

Me & my friend went on 2nd November 2023 asked waiter ordered fish starter 2 samosa & 2 kakabs 1 chicken curry & 1 meat. Waiter tried to go large it would of cost extra £12.00 told him that's not happening. Starters came & 5 minutes later the main course came we had not even finshed our Starters. Starters are ok main courses we're pre cooked and heated and served chapatis we're cold & hard.chicken was tasteless the meat was nothing special. Portion was tiny absolute joke.they want to get you in and out.3 Starters 2 curry's £39.00 waste off money.

Amazing food and warm welcome from the lovely chef and his sons. It was great to reminisce with them about the curry journeys we’d shared and experienced over the years. Good to be back and love the new location.

Service was too quick lol they wanted you out starter came and so did main at same time we asked for chips the waiter said we cant order chips as our order has gone in

Went a few weeks ago after eagerly waiting to finally get there before it closed early! Disappointed by the standard of food, preferred it at the previous location. Mum and Dad got very sick from eating the paye and projectile vomited for a few days. We made a decision to not go there again. Which is a real shame given we’d always enjoyed Sultans. Didn’t make a complaint as my Dad was very sick for a week which was the primary concern for the family!

Went yesterday evening with the family and was welcomed well. Food portion size is small for what you pay for (it is what it is) Anyways we ordered chicken, lamb and fish. They were cooked right but the morning after I think we've all changed our minds as few of us are not feeling well.

Food was amazing! Had fish pakoras for starters, mains were the chicken curry with garlic naan. Finished it off with gulab jaman and ice cream for dessert. Super fast service and family friendly, would defo recommend. 10/10 👍

Went on Friday evening food was among staff was nice and lovely got the chicken starters were nice and tender they also had the meat and chicken curry’s which was probably the best curry I’ve had in ages. To finish off I had the mango lassi which was 10/10

Great service and atmosphere, if you want to experience truly authentic desi cuisine this is by far the best place to come to in Bradford and also very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend to everyone and it’s a place you can bring your family too, atmosphere is definitely warm and friendly. .

I would definitely avoid eating in this establishment again. Me and wife, we both had diarrhoea and vomiting. We ordered chicken masala something. Avoid this place.

Very poor customer service. Extremely rude people. However, the food is nice but they are arrogant and do not seem to value their customers, it is as if someone forced them to open a restaurant and they do not want to.

Same masala used for 3 dishes tried. Roti/ chapati was completely burnt and not worth eating. Wont go again.

Ordered 2 starters & 1 main course - was recommended to go large on main course? - plates were covered in dried food that weren't washed properly - no complementary water or salt & pepper put on tables - main course arrived & good but colour was a bit over burned - no starters given? Went to pay bill & was getting charged for the no show starters - attended waiter was looking at the cashier & cashier looking at waiter blaming each other for no starters - no real apology given - feel this restaurant needs customer training & try not to over sell excessive food that's not needed - curry was like it been cooked in a mega pot & re cooked to customers prefer of taste in how spicy you want it hence loosing all the flavours in re cooking it

Food is top drawer…. Been coming here for many years and the food is consistently good every time. The words Best Curry get thrown around much too often for places that just don’t deserve the title, but this really 1 of the BEST curry and I have been to some really good places, my only criticism is that I would prefer the Balti dishes to come out sizzling hot and not just warm. Our order consisted of Fish Pakoras, Meat Samosas, Chicken Pakoras… Mains Chicken Karahi, Chicken Spinach, 6 chapatis, 2X Irn Bru, Rubicon Guava… £39 in total. Service is excellent and cash/card & contactless is accepted which is a bonus.

Simply the place to be for an authentic homemade cuisine. I tried the keema (mince meat) cooked to perfection with potatoes and peas. Also you get 3 chapattis with your main course.

First time visit to Sultans through recommendation. We got a take out and thought it was absolutely beautiful food. Chicken spinach masala was perfect. Only negative thing I could say is that the portions are a little small but will definitely be going again.

Absolutely disgusting. Food very expensive and coated in too much oil. Not great service and everything so basic and make shift. My advice would be to avoid at all cost and visit Thai restaurant next door

People have been raving about this place for years.. I thought it was a fuss about Nowt.. Was I wrong. The meat curries are sensational, the others aren't too either... only problem it shuts at 8pm!!!

Visited first time since they moved premises and won’t be going back ever again. We walked in about 15 mins before closing time and we’re told they’re fully booked which we couldn’t understand as 50% of the tables downstairs were empty. It’s the same issue here as they had at the old premises which is their lack of customer service. Unfortunately these guys don’t know how to deal with customers which is a shame as the food is amazing. Update: went back on the 19/01/23 to give this place another go and what a disappointment. Tiny portions, over priced & the food didn’t taste as good as when they were at the old premises. My good friend Muj makes a better lamb dish than these guys and he doesn’t even charge me and delivers the food to my doorstep. Please look at your feedback and up your game.

Went for lunch and was not disappointed, attentive staff, good was served very quickly and the karahi both chicken and meat were so good! The fish pakora and chicken boti as well as the chapatis were all really good. Definitely recommend. Not a fancy restaurant but the food speaks for itself.

I ordered two large chicken masalas Since opening their new restaurant their customer service and portions have fallen down drastically. Not the first time they messed my order up. Few occasions this has happened but still gave them benefit of the doubt and repeatedly told them to please give enough salad and sauces as we are regulars. They barely gave any salad just some old onions and the portions have gone so small to say they charged us £30 for large. Shocking

Good food, but spicy and not real options to choose the spiciness. Chicken pakora is very hot! The place is not great, more for a takeaway. The prices are quite high, paid £20 for Biryani and 2 starters... was tasty, though (but hot). Awesome mango lassi, definitely worth it to take some home!

Quality food, quality service. The standards are as good as they have always been. Probably one of the best places for an authentic curry in Bradford.

imo Sultan's is one of the best curry houses in Bradford. About half of the people who I've tried it with have agreed. While there are no vegetarian starters, 4/5 of the vegetarians I know who have tried it anyways have told me it was worth it. I recommend the Chicken Boti starter! 🤤

Great pre-match curry. Very tasty chicken karahi, not cheap but well worth it. Don’t sell popadoms or coke, lol. Curry quite similar ( in a good way) to sweet Centre. Staff all friendly.

We used to eat at Omar Khans and I was gutted when it closed.I saw the owner of Omar Khans who informed me that the waiter had gone to work at Sultans so thought we would pay a visit. I am so glad we did- friendly down to earth eatery with friendly and helpful staff. Food is delicious, fresh and well portioned, priced well

Just as good as it ever was. I used to call in the Manningham lane Sultans cafe whenever I could. Since it’s moved down to lister park I’ve not had chance to call in. I called today and not before time, the owner recognised me, the service was good but best of all the food was excellent. Yes the prices have increased but who’s haven’t. Still by far the best curry in Bradford and that’s coming from an Akbars regular. You won’t be disappointed.
