Delicious, healthy food and friendly service

The food was very good and staff friendly. It wasn't rushed so you could enjoy your food. Definitely going to go back.

I used to like this place for the authentic food and good value for money. Ordered from here last week and unfortunately the food wasn't that hot, the portion size wasn't big for the amount we paid and we were still hungry after. The food, once warmed up is still very tasty and they offer a range of dishes. Being one of the few Thai restaurants in the area, it's hard to compare to others locally, but just wasn't impressed this time around. We ordered 2 sticky rice which just came in bags and were too sticky, and we could barely break the rice up. I guess we were expecting 2 full containers of rice like you get at most takeaways. You don't get that much meat in the curries, mostly veg and plenty of curry (but we didn't have enough rice to soak it in!) We ordered a fair bit of food for the 4 of us and it wasn't cheap, but if the quantity was a bit more, we could have enjoyed it a bit more, instead of feeling a bit meh afterwards. I think the better option may be to dine in or try elsewhere in future.

Traditional Thai restaurant, serving excellent food with fabulous service

Had a super yummy dinner here the other week! Service was really warm and inviting, felt very cozy all night. My partner and I enjoyed the prawn crackers as a snack, followed by the vegetarian starter platter. Highlights were the corn fritters as these had so much flavour in them. For mains we shared the veggie pad Thai and veggie Thai red curry with some coconut rice. All of it was delicious! The food was very fragrant and everything was cooked just right. We were stuffed by the end of the meal and couldn't finish the pad Thai so ended up taking it home for leftovers. Highly recommend, will be coming back for cozy delicious dinners this autumn/winter!

I was treating my Niece to a meal for her amazing a level results , 10 minutes to take our drink orders a further 20 to take our food orders, I forgot what I wanted !! Mixed starter arrived no complaints about the food , the plates were cleared , I ordered another beer my Niece was ok . Half an hour later still no sign of food or my beer and no explanation for the delay , over heard them telling other tables (regulars)that they were short staffed but we were treated like dirt and then they tried to charge me for the beer I didn't get ...and as we were leaving a lady said well done for not getting angry !!

So disappointed, food was over cooked, dry and so far off the quality of eatery’s in the surrounding area. Only three tables of diners throughout the couple of hours we were there on a Friday night so they must be struggling which showed as the size of the dishes were tiny ( saving costs) Must do better as there is far better out there. Very nice young waiter is doing his best in the circumstances.

Ordered the pad Thai. Was too sweet. Had to add chilli flakes and lemon. Something I usually don’t do when eating pad Thai back at home in Singapore or when visiting Thailand. Service was alright, they aren’t that friendly, maybe because I’m Asian 😂. I wouldn’t recommend this for somebody used to eating Thai food from SEA.

Good Thai food from a family restaurant. The atmosphere, on the evening we were there was a little subdued but it was a week night and quite early. You are surrounded by a host of Thai artifacts which gives an air of authenticity and the service was friendly and helpful. We all enjoyed the food which was fresh and well presented. Overall a good experience but not exceptional.

Always lovely food from here. Usually order take away, but this time we decided to eat in the restaurant. The service was just 'ok' and a little slow. We had to wait a while to be served and another wait to pay the bill, but otherwise all was fine. Definitely recommended if you like Thai food.

Beautiful decor, friendly and accommodating staff and delicious food. Everything cooked fresh to order and so tasty. Served on piping hot plates. Very reasonable prices for such good quality food. A real find.

I have ordered take away from Sakhuthai before and have always enjoyed my food. Today was the first time I ate in the restaurant, itself. Overall, the food is good. As mentioned, I always enjoy it. The service was good too. Overall, a very good evening.

Ate at sukhothai tonight and had a fantastic evening. The ambience of the restaurant was very welcoming, staff were lovely and food was fabulous. Really clear menu for allergies and tasted amazing. Whole heartedly recommend dining here. Best meal I have had in a long time

The food was lovely and hot, however we both found our curries a bit bland and watery. Such a shame! I’m sure we’ll order again though.

Visited with my friend and her daughter, as a last minute booking. absolutely nothing to complain about whatsoever, the staff were attentive and incredibly friendly, which set a very good tone for the evening. All I can say is the food was just sublime, light, fragrant, flavourful, and the portion sizes were just right. One of the best restaurants I've been to in a long time. This one will be remembered for a long time to come, and we will definitely visit again. Thank you for a really great experience.

Love Sukho Thai! One of my favourite restaurants and the ped ron duck pancakes are incredible. Always make sure to dine here when I am ever in Great Missenden.

This isn't Thai food. The worst fried calamari, clearly frozen prawns. Likewise prawn curry was chewy. Very disappointing

Great resturant. Fabulous food, excellent sevice, value for money. Limited parking outside but carpark with ample parking 2 minutes walk away. I will definitely eat here again.

We had a fantastic meal here. The sharing platters certainly satisfied our appetites and tasted divine. The staff are so friendly and really work hard to ensure you have a pleasant experience. An overall lovely restaurant and I shall definitely be returning!

Nice place to be and lovely staff.... Went mid week. Food was well presented and fresh however it was bland and lacked the Thai flavours and smells I would have expected. I was quite disappointed at how ordinary the food tasted.

Since lockdown 3, Sukhothai has given us a little bit of joy every Thursday. We love the flavours and how they can make up bespoke dishes for us. The last few weeks they’ve even let me try dishes from their new menu (alternative to the Papaya salad which I love). Food is one of my passions so I’m fairly fussy when it comes to restaurants and wouldn’t normally get takeaways very often but I’d highly recommend Sukhothai.

Takeaway. Delicious chicken, cashew nuts, bamboo shoots, mushroom stir fry, with plain noodles and prawn crackers - very tasty, good heat, prompt service

The food is absolutely delicious. My only complaint would be that the £12 price tag on the starter selection dish was quite a lot for not a lot of food.

I appreciate its new years eve and take aways will be busy, but I ordered directly with the restaurant who told me 7.15pm I arrived slightly earlier, qued outside in the cold for over 45 minutes, where I then could wait inside for a further 30 minutes. I watched people whose orders where for after mine come and go, the que was getting longer by the second with disgruntled customers. After waiting 1 hour and 15 minutes for my order I was given what the manager felt fit to alter my order to as they had run out, when I expressed this was not good enough he seemed to laugh and not want to explain. Only when I made a bit more of a fuss in front of other customers did he attempt to rectify by telling me he would either give me a free bottle of beer or give me a free rice next order. This is not an acceptable solution for waiting all that time and then having the incorrect order. Once taken my food home it was cold and portion size was lacking.They were taking order after order and clearly couldn't keep up with demand, instead of managing the situation money seemed to be the most important thing. Some honesty in the situation would have also been better not keep saying 10 minutes when another 40 passes. This is not a flippant attack as I use this restaurant all the time and can usually praise them but on this occasion bad bad service, I'm very disappointed.

After ordering a take away online we were left for 1h20 stood outside beyond our collection time to pick up our food. On arriving home, the food was cold and very average - disappointing

Everything you might expect in a good western Thai restaurant. I especially liked the special fried rice which did live up to its name.

Never been before but decided to try courtesy of the government offer. Overall was not a great experience, in fact wish i could turn the clock back and save my money even with the offer. My first piece of advice - get another phone ! your phone was constantly trilling like an old fashioned 'trimphone' for those who remember- not conducive to a relaxed meal. Second the service - was efficient and we didnt wait unduly for anything, but despite wearing masks you can talk to customers! for example - welcome, are you enjoying your meal, would you like anything else, etc - i don't think there was a word said from behind the masks!The food - the spring rolls presumably come from Booker and tasted slightly rancid- like reheated from earlier. The chicken satay tasted like something from Booker, and the green curry sauce from a jar. The stir fried chicken with ginger was ok and so was the fried rice.I'm probably spoilt as i used to live in the Far East and am very familiar with good Thai food. Giving it 2 stars not no stars due to everything being prompt and not having to wait, but going to the Thai in new Beaconsfield next time, much better.

The restaurant is really beautiful inside and the service was very welcoming. They are following COVID guidelines well, with us being presented with hand gel as soon as we stepped into the restaurant as well as between each course. The customers were all put on tables socially distanced from each other and the staff wiped down and cleaned all mats, tables and chairs as soon as a customer left. A great little local Thai restaurant in Great Missenden. Unfortunately, we were after more authentic spicy Thai food which is what we thought we were getting but the food wasn't spicy at all. I will say though that the tom yum soup was light and delicious and the servings were very generous. It just didn't quite hit the mark with us!

Food average staff grumpy/miserable/unfriendly/unhelpful/unattentive.

Just had our first takeaway (collection, only 7 min drive from us in Chesham) from here and it was absolutely delish! Every plate was super tasty, took us right back to happy memories of Thailand

Great food and great value for money

So happy we found this gem of a restaurant. The food was so good. We had the mixed starter, followed by a selection of dishes to share: duck with pancakes, Chicken Green Curry, Phad Thai Prawn and egg fried rice. Very reasonably priced and excellent service. Highly recommended and will be back.

Went for the first time on the evening of the 30th December. Restaurant is nicely decorated and not expensive as Thai food goes. Meals were excellent and nothing was left! Thank you for a lovely evening.

This is a real gem of a Thai restaurant. It’s very reasonably priced, lovely atmosphere and the food is absolutely delicious. We previously lived in Singapore and Thailand and think the Pad Thai is the best that we’ve had the in the UK. I’d definitely recommend trying here.

Came for lunch. Staff were very helpful and helped us choose something for the lunch menu. Decor nice and authentic but most importantly the food was amazing. Also nice that we were there right up until 2:30pm when they close for the afternoon yet they didn't rush us even once.

Food was good and staff were accomodating. Expected the prices to be high but felt they were very reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food. Only tiny issue is that when they brought out the food they would say what number they were on the menu and didn't seem to know what the actual food was called. I didn't even look at the numbers. Still recommend it but make sure you know what number is assigned to what you order.

The food at Sukothai is very good. I have visited on several occasions and consistently I have enjoyed the meal. We felt a little rushed this time around and I am not sure why as the restaurant was almost empty. Decor could do with an update and the exterior looks tired but would recommend if you want good Thai food.

Lovely food, lovely ambience and decor. A forgotten drink and a long wait to order food but otherwise nice. A word to anyone who intends to wear heels but doesn't very often, the ramp up to the ladies loo (is necessary as it is also the disabled loo) is interesting if you're not used to wearing heels!

Worth searching out this restaurant the food is excellent the service helpful if a little confused. We will go again.

Nice food, shame it didn't come out together. One young man very friendly but made to feel a bit unwelcome. Had to keep asking for things. I felt they were too busy to cope. Not friendly,very brisk.

Went here with my girlfriend on Thursday night. We had the mussels, crispy duck, HUGE prawns in a delicious marinade, green Thai curry and a chicken noodle dish. It was all excellent, could not fault it, and very fresh ingredients, the best restaurant around, you must go!!!

Finally got to eat here last night and it did not disappoint. We started with a seafood platter to share and it was fabulous. My husband would have liked some more dipping sauces, but the food itself was beautifully presented and it was a generous portion. Mussels, squid, scallops and huge prawns. I had chu chi scallops as a main and there were so many scallops my husband had to help me out. He had prawns and again a generous portion. We had noodles to share. All in all a tasty meal. The ambience was nice. Would definitely go back.

On Wednesday 8 January we ordered a take away online. 4 of us eating - the bill was £65.20 (including an added service charge of 50p). We had paid with our card and our 20 year old son went to pick it up.

I have eaten here many times as the quality and service is exceptional. However today we decide to go for a lunchtime meal to find it was closed even thought the website states it is open from 12:00pm to 14:30pm Disappointed to say the least.

Toilet seat loose, nearly fell down loo. Food amazing, waitresess really lovely.

Love it. Favourite restaurant in Great Missenden (and probably Bucks!) The food is such good value for money, and the perfect takeaway when you are bored of the usual Chinese or Indian. Get the sweetcorn fitters to start and get EVERYTHING for mains. It’s all great.

Eat here, and you will not regret it!

Three of us ate on a friday, booked early,the food came out and was good not the best thai I've had but worth a visit,clean and well presented restaurant,good value for money.

Bit of a mix up with my meal but it was resolved eventually. Nice food very quiet for a December evening
