We have visited sugandha Indian restaurant last night , we ordered chicken korahi,chichen jalfrazi Daal, garlic Nan and garlic cheese naan.we really enjoyed all the dishes so delicious and aromatic flavour,the Daal was absolutely incredible,the service was excellent we will wait for our next visit to Sugandha.special thanks to the Owner Mr Monir who look after us.

I had lamb special curry and bollywood lamb , sauce was tasty and lamb very tender also the waiters were friendly and they have free parking front of the restaurant , 5 star .

A nice welcome, but the food was quite the worst Indian meal we'd ever had. Food was just about lukewarm, could not recommend to anybody!

On holiday in Wales and we can't recommend Sugandha enough. The food was ordered online, was ready to collect exactly on time and was delicious. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, if you're in, or near, Aberporth you need to give them a try. Thanks for a fantastic meal, Sugandha.

I had Classic butter chicken, which was outstanding in taste and authenticity. The service I was provided was with exceptional care, and over all, the atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant.

We tried the Chef special lamb,Karachi chicken tikka ,mushroom rice and garlic Kima naan, which was so delicious and flavourful. They had the best service and amazing atmosphere.

Had a takeaway when staying in Tresaith ,portions were generous food was delicious lamb was lovely and tender very nice meal

We had some friends came over for a day. So decided to go to shugondha restaurant for a meal. We were about 10 of us. The atmosphere was great. I tried their chef special Welsh lamb. Seriously the lamb was so soft and juicy. One of the best lamb I’ve ever had. Rest of us also loved their curry too. Must recommend this place. Great addition in town. Surely we will be back.

We recently visited Aberporth and decided to try Shugandha Indian Restaurant. Among the multiple delicious dishes, the Chef Special Lamb stood out as exceptionally tasty. The garlic naan was soft and perfectly complemented the lamb. The flavors were rich and authentic, making it a memorable dining experience. We highly recommend Shugandha for anyone looking to enjoy exquisite Indian cuisine in Aberporth.

Good tasting food and drinks. The place seems unfinished and unorderly (new perhaps) hence 1 star down. Fair service. Wrong bill in the end, had to point out the mistake of 2 extra drinks we didn't order.

Chicken tikka was not marinated well, lacked flavour. Vindaloo was not a vindaloo, more like a masala, not very spicy either. Never had a keema naan like it, grey minced meat spread on outside of bread! To be fair, dhansak and rice were good.

The restaurant was very busy as 2 members of staff hadnt turned up. Despite being desperately busy and the food later than expected we were very pleased with our meal excellent. Thank you

A Fantastic chicken balti, pilau rice and chips. Cracking onion bhaji, naan bread, poppadoms and pickles/chutney. All in all a faultless and real tasty Indian takeaway.

Generous portions, lovely bit of spice, really friendly staff! For a curry house in the middle of Wales this was surprisingly really nice! Will definitely be a regular place to dine in or takeaway for the future. We even got our dessert for free as the waiter was that nice ! Can be a quiet spot in the week to eat in, lovely around !

Spent nearly £50 for a family take away and it was pretty poor. Was really bland, couldn’t taste any spices an really watery. Shame!!

We waited ages for our meal and half the staff were missing, but we didn’t care as the food was good and Pat was the best waitress ever. Give that woman a medal at Balti towers, she held it altogether when even the boss had gone missing!

The service was good and quick, the food was excellent, parking was a minor issue as there weren't many spaces.

Lovely quiet meal here while on holiday in the area quick friendly service delicious food, only took a star off as went to pay bill by card and their Internet wasn't working so had to walk to a shop to get cash out, lucky it was open as don't believe another cash machine in village 😒

Great evening meal service was fab Sat in and had the chicken tikka dhansak Cobra beer.

We went here on holiday as a family of 3 generations which were all catered for.we all had different dishes and all agreed they were delicious I had chicken saag which was gorgeous they also do English dishes which the 2 children had,the service was really efficient and staff very polite

Really good food. The restaurant decor is a bit basic and there wasn’t any other customers so not much atmosphere (it was a Tuesday at 6:00). There were lots of customers collecting their takeout orders. The food was really tasty, good menu choice and excellent portion sizes making it very good value. We were in Aberporth on holiday but won’t hesitate to eat here again if we return.

I have just ordered and collected the smallest portion of Balti I have seen in 45 years. It was very tasty but I think my days of ordering take out are over. I travelled 20 minutes to collect it and when i got it home it wasn't enough to feed two of us as it always has been. It cost approx £12 and used to feed two, no longer.

Great food! And coming from the home of curry, I was surprised, impressed, and very happy with the quality of food there. Naan was 10/10 Service left somthing to be desired, but also wasn't unpleasant. It seems there were a couple of member of staff serving who were still learning the trade but were pleasant and polite enough. Restaurant was clean, if not a bit dated. Seemed really stange with it being so bright in there too. I think they are missing a trick there not having some blinds, or some sort of tint on the window to make the place feel a bit more Indian restaurant. Get some little nik nak's on the walls. Car parking on the front on the restaurant. Reasably priced. Well worth a visit. A factor in our visit was that some of the more pub grub looking places charge a real premium for food in the area and we felt if we wanted to spend big on food it may as well be nice food cooked properly. On that basis the value for money was excellent and we would always recommend.

Had a holiday home in the area for a number of years and struggled to find a good Indian takeaway until now, food was piping hot and every dish tasted great. One of the best currys I've had in a long time.

Service was excellent as well as the food. One thing that could let this restaurant down is that there is a high step at the entrance so is not wheelchair accessible.

Have had meals from theSugandha many times before and have had a really nice meal but tonight the meal was not very good no taste it was cold we couldn't taste the curry in the meals very watery was told the meal would be about 1 hour got to pick it up wasn't ready in all it was a 2 hour wait obviously something is wrong it's a shame what use to be is no longer .

We had a great service here but the food was disappointing. Curry was thin and biryani was tasteless. We were the only ones here on a thursdsy evening so no excuse to not get it right.

We had a takeaway but the restaurant looked to be very clean and very inviting . The toilet was very clean and well looked after. The waiter was friendly and helpful and if we are staying in the area again we will definately use them again.

Fab food and great service. Everything tasted freshly made and the levels of spice and heat were exactly as described. Great value, would be eating here regularly if we lived closer!

I loved the vegetable fried rice, the sag aloe and the nan bread. Wasn't so keen on the vegetable curry as it hardly had any veg and it was mostly all sauce. I'll go again though. The service for takeaway was fast and courteous. Parking is hard as very few spaces which fill up quickly with people using other places. I had to park in the road.

Very disappointing korma the sauce was not creamy at all just watery & clear!

Food is good but as some of you wrote in reviews, if you visit for authentic Indian food , this isn’t one. For getting business, they are saying it is authentic. What’s stopping me calling them a fraud / cheat is , some of dishes (pak or Bangladesh) tastes good. Hence, low rating.

First time at this Indian restaurant, very clean and nice decor. Friendly staff, great food, slight wait for main but as its cooked fresh it was worth the wait. Highly recommend 👌

We ate at Sugandha for the first time this week and really enjoyed it. The food was really tasty - great flavours, a real homemade taste and good local ingredients. The waiter was friendly and smiley. The service was a tiny bit slow but not a major issue as we were enjoying our evening. Only small criticism was that one of the main courses could have been warmer, but overall we loved our meal and will definitely return. Thank you.

Compelled to review Sugandha Aberporth after two outstanding take ways. Ordered Chicken Tikka Dupiaza, Chicken Tikka Pathia, 1 Pilau, plain Nan, chapati. About £25. Easily one of the best Indian’s we’ve had. So good we had it all again two days later. We’re tourists but We’ll be back for sure.

Had a great meal at Sugandha yesterday evening. One of the best king prawn masalas I've had, perfectly cooked and very tasty. Everyone in our group enjoyed their food. Friendly and efficient service, great price too. Will definitely be back.

We're currently enjoying an exploration of all the curry houses within a 10 or so mile radius of Cardigan. Tonight was the Sugandha. Green Goan curry..... Having been to Goa on several occasions and the area is known for its cuisine, I leapt at the opportunity to have this dish. Heavy on the food dye, dry chicken and, strangely, virtually tasteless - apart from some underlying heat. Goanese it ain't. My friend's mixed meat curry only tasted of slightly uncooked Madras curry powder. Dhal masala - no discernable flavour. I hate leaving bad reviews, but this is the only curry house in Aberporth, so has no competition.

That was not a curry, had the madras, sauce was thin, spice was cheap, contents of the veg madras, only got mushrooms and courgettes. The other was a special that was just cream so they both went in the bin, had we not had a drink I would have driven back for a refund.

Had a great meal for the family last night (5 of us). The restaurant was busy, friendly service, food was tasty, high quality and portions were a good size. Will certainly be returning to try more of the menu.

Wife needs gluten free curries and have never experienced a problem ordering Indian food as they use gram flour etc But upon phoning to check before ordering we where told there was nothing they could do for us very disappointed to say the least

It has been worth the wait for a good Indian takeaway. Sugandha has been in Aberporth a few months now. Only problem is it's so popular you have to be prepared to wait during busy hours - but the food was excellent.

Had a delicious meal whilst on holiday in the area. Food was well presented and tasty, service excellent, place spotless. We had lamb Ceylon and it was quite different from the basic masala I have had before and much tastier. Also a mild duck dish which was very enjoyable and different. Peshwari nan also good.

Ordered by telephone ona Friday evening. Picked meal up at 6.30pm. Everything was ready for me to collect. Both my husband and myself were extremely impressed with the standard of the food. Everything tasted fresh with good flavours. Best curry takeaway I've had in a long time. Interesting dishes on the menu and I chose something I've never had before. Thanks.

After spending £100 for a family meal I am extremely disappointed everything tasted exactly the same of nothing and incredibly watery would highly recommend going to the garage at the top of the road and getting a 2 for 1 meal deal for £5 and spend the £85 you save on drinks

Absolutely first class, very tasty freshly prepared food of a standard not often found anywhere. I wish I wasn't going home on Saturday from a holiday let as this would be somewhere I'd probably eat at too often.The local customers may not realise just how good it is. Polite and courteous staff and prompt service topped it all off. 😎

So glad to see a curry house back in the village. Read the initial reviews that were not great but can honestly say that I'm really impressed. Ordering was easy, food was ready for collection on time. More importantly it tasted great! Full of flavour, I ordered the chicken garlic madras, heat and flavour spot on. Way better than the local Cardigan offerings. Please keep up the good work :-)

Shame, seems like a really nice place. Ordered online as the queue was out the door for pickup. After waiting for 30 mins went in to pay and got told the online ordering was canceled even though I had an order receipt. Very chaotic. Suggest get more staff! Disappointed ☹️

Service was not the best and very disappointing. I had been waiting for a long time for my food and in the end was not worth it but Atleast they added an extra popadom 😌

Food was terrible. Very oily Jalfrazi and tough nan. I love me an Indian but this was sadly a terrible meal. Was expecting a lot more from the new place in town.

Take away food was lovely but service in restaurant very disorganised. Lots of people waiting much longer than quoted times for food. Hopefully just teething problems but need more than one person running the till
