Sufian CURRY HOUSE Indian and Bangladeshi restaurant & Take Away in West Lindsey

Food was either bland or overly spicy. The rice was not basmati. I mentioned the lack of flavour in one of the curries and to be fair the “chef” came out to discuss and the solution was a separate bowl of pickle. Cannot recommend.

We speak for other 1 star reviews on here, we used to love this curry house takeaway. Now the meals are super watery, VERY small on portions and like other reviews they are watering down the main means that cost £7.50+ along with small amounts of chicken. We also bought a 'Mixed Grill' for £11.95 and we were shocked at the small portion given, a few small lumps of meat, 2 thin tubes of meat and a very boney small chicken wing.....very dissapointing guys....not the way to treat customers. We'll be sticking with ordering with the Elach takeaway from now on as they give you good poritions, full of flavour and not watered down. Sorry to say but you're now a customer down.

Worset indian iv had. No flavour, korma was like water. Keena nan had half of the filling missing. Wasted money and won't be going again. This place used to be nice but not anymore.

Food was really late and my food was so watery!. It's got no flavour to it what's so ever. Wasted £20. The keema nan has grisel all the way through too. Thought I would try as I haven't ordered for years but I'll be going back to my usual now. Don't waste your money.

Just had a delivery , was late and delivery driver had a cigarette in his gob , the smell of smoke went straight into my house !!. Partners curry was like water it had to be binned . Mango chutney was watery . Bloody awful . Not ordering from here anymore

Ordered a takeaway tonight and I have to say it was so disappointing. There was absolutely no flavour in any of it. The lamb tikka masala had very little lamb in it. And the sauce in both the tikka masala and korma was so watery. Even the pickle tray sauces were just like water. As a long time customer of the takeaway and the restaurant, I can say I will not be eating there again.

Use to be our absolute favourite but our takeaway this evening was extremely disappointing. We waited 40 minutes over our stated delivery time which is fair enough if they are busy but once our food arrived it was terrible tasted of absolutely nothing the sauce was just like water and lacked any flavour what so ever we ended up throwing it away. Very disappointing

So we ordered a decent size order with curry x 2 , rice , poppadoms & pickle tray , lamb chops , salad, kebab with chips , salad & pitta , it was fresh , tasty & we thoroughly enjoyed it , the lady who takes the orders went above & beyond with communication & customer service ....thank you , highly recommend Xx

Use to be our favourite curry house but the delivery service has become shocking! All of the last three orders were no where near the stated delivery time and well over 30mins over what’s stated (normally 1 hour stated). Always the same response that “it’s with the driver” - really? What are they doing driving around the block with it until it’s cold?! I’m literally only a mile from you!

We've just received our order of special byriani, special garlic roshoon, Bombay potatoes, lemon and garlic rice....it was expensive and absolutely disgusting,only had a few mouthfuls, but had to throw it away to be honest, it was that bad!!!!

Ordered tonight . Has the chef changed ?: Ordered my usual . Peswari nan was plain not almond or cocunutty. Tikka massala well no flavour dont think i will be ordering again from you. Everything to me was bland and it cost me a small fortune

This is our favourite Indian restaurant and takeaway and we have used both services. The staff are lovely and are very attentive and can't do enough to ensure you have a good experience. The food is always delicious and beautifully served. Priced very reasonably and we will definitely be back again.

Wrong order arrived, when our actual order arrived there was food missing, all food was dry and very bland, when called to say food was missing I got asked “can we send you it next time”. Gone down hill since it’s been taken over.

I stopped off in here stuff was very friendly food was ok not amazing did the job a little bit overpriced for the food they waited til you finished to tell you it's cash only lucky enough they have a cashpoint Next Door the young service staff were very good you could tell they were very new at the job

Would not eat from here again, ordered via uber eats, butter chicken and duck korma. Other half now being sick due to what we suspect is gone off chicken. Have rang to Inform manager to basically be fobbed off, no apology and no care given at all! Do not eat from here unless you want to be violently ill. 2nd time in 3 weeks we've had illness due to eating from here, won't be making it a 3rd!

Super good food. We eat in a lot of Indian and Bangladesh restaurants all over England And the starters were the best. Ever And it was to much to eat in one time so we took the rest what was over back home 🙏🏼

Food was delivered 40mins late, when it arrived there was about an inch in the containers.. They sent out another which was exactly the same(poor) On trying the food it tasted like a barrel of salt had been tipped in it. Hence to say £48 of food went in the bin. Worst Indian meal we have ever had. Will not recommend we will never use again! Very very disappointed 😡

Came for a last minute dinner out and was amazing. No faults at all in the food. Ordered a sheek kebab for starter which was beautifully marinated. Then had garlic chilli chicken tikka which was just outstanding. Meat was cooked perfectly and plenty of it to. Overall great meal with lovely staff.

The best Indian food I've had for a long time, really authentic wonderfully spiced. They don't have a licence so I bought cold beer from Morrisons next door and they served it from the fridge. Owners and staff are delightful and very attentive. If I could I would give this small restaurant more that five stars. Highly recommend.

This was our first visit to Sufian Curry House and wow the food was stunning! Very friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be back for more 🤤 We had the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Chicken Tikka Balti and both dishes were delicious! 23/05/2024 - Visited for a second time! This is the first time we have ordered from Sufian curry House, the meal was lovely and very tasty. We would definitely order again.

We went for the special offer, which was great value with an even bigger bonus of the child eats free! Nothing was too much trouble, all the food was hot and fresh and very tasty. Everything was served quickly, the service was great, we will definitely be back again

Came for evening meal on a Wednesday and took advantage of the Wednesday Buffet. The food was hot, delicious and plenty of it. Staff are friendly and efficient. Very good value. Just one small niggle - a little longer between courses would make it perfect!😉

Cannot comment on the food as it wasn’t delivered. They said there was 15 minutes delay not a problem after an hour and a quarter phoned up to see where my food was. The bloke at the end of the phone wouldn’t let me speak started swearing, I said cancel the order. Absolute joke complete disgusting behaviour. If this is how you run a business , you won’t be open very long in Gainsborough As you can, presume will not be ordering from them again, and the bloke at the end of the phone needs sacking I would’ve given it zero stars, but it wouldn’t let me

Best curry I've had in a very long time

Came here on a wednesday night at 8pm as a payday midweek pick-me-up. The food was absolutely fantastic as well as the service, we felt very well taken care of. Would recommend to anybody

Staff brilliant ,down hill from there Dont waste your money I've had to throw both of my so called korma that tasted of mouthful of sugar in fact if I closed my eyes I wouldn't have been able to tell you what I was eating and the masala tasted just like the korma! But red colour £20 in the bin I've had better box korma and masala this tasted like the cheap frozen korma from lidi , I've had better korma and masala from tesco and asda then this muck iam quite shocked that Indian can't make a decent korma or masala! They need to go and get a refresher course 🙄 Staff was lovely shop looked good shame the food tasted pre frozen cheap I actually wouldn't be shocked if someone told me they brought their curry's from lidi!! This is 💯 percent true review

Happened to come through Gainsborough and spotted what must seem one of the slowly disappearing (non chain) curry houses. The food was lovely. Wonderful flavours. Service was attentive and not at all pushy (like so often experienced in curry houses). Prices perfectly adequate. This is a place you go to for the food, not a grand night out. Alcohol licence would have been welcome, but the excellent food made more than up for that. If it wasn`t for the distance we live away, we'd definitly would go again.

Restaurant was cold rice was dry and hard naan bread was tasteless and was far to much meat in the curry and curry was tastless and staff were rude and has bad breathe will not be returning any time soon

We visited Sufian for a January treat, food was lovely and staff attentive. I was a little cold but the weather is bad at the minute. Would definitely visit again soon.

Great food again plenty of flavours. Onion bhajis were really tasty. Keema rice was just a little dry but very tasty. Delivery was great pleasant driver too. All in all a great service keep up the good work.

Say their open on here and on Foodhub I ordered just for it to get cancelled and for them to say they are closed maybe say ur closed instead off letting people order and loose money, I’ve never been here before this is my first time and this isn’t a great

Rang up at opening time, took a long time to get through as was busy line. Eventually the women answers and confirms we can’t change something in the box meal. Okay no problem.. ordered.. get a message within half hour saying they are not open and the money will be refunded within 3-5 working days.. brilliant.. no mention of being closed and I’m certain they are open today normally. Unbelievable.

Very rarely leave bad reviews as I'm generally supportive of local businesses and everyone has a bad day. However we spent £45 on food as a treat for saturday night. It was nearly an hour late but Sufian contacted us to explain that short on drivers. We wouldn't have minded this if the food arrived fresh and hot. When arrived it was so cold that a great deal was inedible, the chips, bhaji and rice couldn't be reheated and naan was soggy in the bag. The vegetable samosas had meat in them which was not great! Most of it got thrown. So disappointing as the quality is usually pretty good. Perhaps they should not accept orders for delivery if there is a shortage of drivers and the food is likely to arrive cold and inedible. Gutted to leave a bad review but this was very poor and sadly won't be ordering again as like many people we haven't got money to waste at the moment!

Date 8/9/23 time 5:30 to 6:28! My lad and his friends who were from quite distant places, arranged to meet at the restaurant. The advertised opening was listed as Tuesday from 5:30 pm. They waited a hour out side the restaurant for people to arrive, including the restaurant staff who fails to open the place. They were all expecting to dine out to celebrate him graduating, clutching £300 given to him to spend at your restaurant he patiently waited for it open. But you never opened up or answered your phone. I don't think they will be coming back to spend it now, do you !!

Always friendly. Another superb curry tonight - husband’s lamb Naga was great, as was my fish Bangla - hadn’t tried it before. We always collect; they are busy so deliveries are likely to take a while to arrive. Yes prices have gone up a bit but where have they not? We look forward to our Saturday night curry! They have a good and varied menu too, so there’s always something new to try.

Awful,tried the chicken tikka nan,dough was raw in the middle,chips were dismal,only thing good about this was the coke,definitely not worth the £9.50 ,avoid!

Absolutely shocking, we ordered tonight. 2 curry dishes , 1 rice, 1 chips and a Keema Naan and it took 2 HOURS TO BE DELIVERED !! Dont order the chargrilled chicken tikka, the tub it came in wasnt even 1/3 filled! Egg Rice was cold, 'Hot and Spicy chips' more like pepper overload more than spicy. And to top it off the Keema Naan had a piece of plastic (cling film) in it which my child nearly choked on. The guy on the phone said 'I dont know what to say or want you want me to do'. Absolutely shocking. Will not be ordering again. Hopefully there will be a refund happening soon.

The best takeaway in Gainsborough!

We spend so much at this place every single week and gets delivered to hemswell cliff but past few month this is getting ridiculous. Always saying its on way but like tonight we rang at 6.30pm and its still not here at almost 10pm .. not good enough

Massively gone up in price and the portion sizes have gotten smaller waited 2 hours and food was cold massively gone down hill .

I accept some carry out places get busy or let down by drivers but waiting 2hrs and 15mins without any communication is outrageous, i ordered food at approx 6.25pm to be told they are running approx 20 minutes late so it would be ready at 7.45pm ish. I called at 8.03pm to ask how much longer it would be, I was told they are very busy but amazingly the food was right in front of him and would be no more than 10 minutes. Between 8.25 and 8.35 I called a dozen time to get no answer and then cut off. I went to the Sufian restaurant to request a refund to be told it was on its way, i reminded them it was on the counter at 8pm so as we are now 45mins later it would be very cold and my wife will refuse it if it turned up now, I left details and expect a full refund as I was on route to work, I await the refund

Disappointed. Always an hour wait which is fine but it's generally 1.5 to 2 hrs, if we knew at the time of ordering and not everything comes as ordered. Plain naan instead of peshawari and mixed up dishes. Has been good up to recently.

Well, what a shambles. 2 parts of our order were missed, despite being on the list & one part of the meal was really dry. Why did it come with no sauce despite the description of the dish? I won't be in a hurry to order again from here.

I used to love this place . Several times recently the staff were not there at the time we went to collect food, 5.30pm. Closed....nobody there . They arrived while we waited in the car . Last week staff were arguing and one walked out . My curry was awful.... I threw it in the bin . Come on Sufian what's going on ???? Not returning until we know things have improved

Food was delivered late and when tried to contact took 7 callsbefore answering and food was not very tasty as chips were cold and rice over cooked.

Ordered at 615pm. Hadn't arrived by 8pm so rang and cancelled. Poor.
