Subway Kingstown Carlisle Gearshill Road in Carlisle

We stopped off on our way home and the place was empty apart from customers at the counter. It was quite apparent that the young lady behind the counter was not in the best of moods and clearly did not want to be there. She never raised a smile. She asked a colleague wether something needs toasted before or after it was placed on a sandwich and was dismayed when told it was before. She got a cardboard tray and reluctantly toasted said items. She then asked the lady in front of myself and my partner what she wanted and when the lady asked her to change her gloves she retorted that she was only handling food items. The lady pointed out that she had been round the back of the store and under the counter shelves wearing the same gloves. She huffed and ripped her gloves off and threw them in the bin. We walked out in disgust at the way the young lady behind the counter reacted to the customer. I raised my voice to the young lady saying that you do not treat customers the way that she has. I have never seen a member of staff react in that way before and I was totally shocked.

Food was alright but the toilets are disgusting in Carlisle Kingstown industrial estate, sanitary towel bin is overflowing with used tampons and sanitary towels, the mens are covered in dried on poo all over the seat. Yuk so unhygenic looks like it hasn't been cleaned in weeks or rather months. I went in an hour after it had opened I have my reciept to that hasn't been from that day , I said about it they know know it's like that cause they didn't seem bothered or phased by what I was complaining about. Get your toilets cleaned and empty your bins and stop being disgusting. No need for it

I come here often and each time it just gets better and better the staff and service is 10/10 I couldn’t ask for anything more, so accommodating!! Food is always fresh an hot. One of the best subways I’ve EVER been to! Cleanliness is 10/10 aswell all covid rules applied.

3 guys making and seving the food! All 3 had a beard, not one of them was wearing a beard net! Very off putting considering the normal high standards of Subway!

Thought give another try for salad, yet again poor lettuce quality and quantity, it’s cheap but get very little to bulk up. At £5.30 with small drink it’s poor value and feel like it just gets thrown together.

Maybe because it is new this Subway was spotless and staff were wiping tables and cleaning up constantly. Serving staff were helpful and friendly

Went for lunch and got 2 subs for myself and someone in my family. Ordered 1 with chicken tikka and took it out. When eating the sub I got a disgusting taste in my mouth, looked down and spotted it had tuna in it. Absolutely vile for someone who doesn’t like fish at all, and couldn’t finish the sub. The only plus side was the staff was friendly and helpful but took too long to queue for.

We were looking for somewhere to grab a quick lunch on the go & decided to pop into subway as we were passing. The restaurant is clean & staff were friendly. We all enjoyed our sub with drinks. It was great value for money. Will definitely be a regular place for lunch.
