Subway - Bold Street in Liverpool

Up,out and about on a beautiful but rainy October morning, my twin brother and I jumped the train down from Kirkby to Liverpool City Centre, we dropped into this Subway outlet for a quick bite to eat and what a great start to our day. A good Subway outlet, neat and tidy, glass fronted serving counters showcase the goodies on offer and the staff here are very friendly. We got a cheese and ham baguette, prepared with fresh ingredients in front of us ,we munched through our baguettes which were totally delicious and just what we needed to set us up for a good few hours, really enjoyed our visit here before we moved . This Subway outlet is easy to locate along Bold Street. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, 8am till 6pm. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Turned up here on Saturday with my friend and I’m putting it down to them being short staffed that the service was awful. There was just just a young lad serving, making up the orders and keying it in the till who looked very flustered. When I queried why he was on his own he said a staff member hasn’t turned in. There was another member of staff in the back who had finished his shift but who came out to help on the till. I felt so sorry for them. When I sat down to eat there was a lot of rubbish about as people were too lazy to put their rubbish away so it wasn’t the best impression. I’m glad to see another member of staff came in to help but the queue was quite long at this point.

I went today in the subway at 5.30am and the employed was rude and don't wanted to serve out, what is shame because they open until 6am.

Bread was stale, very little filling and forgot 2 items. Have requested a refund.

Far to hot and the doughnuts have gone hard. Chicken tikka sub great and cappuccino spot on. But it's like an oven, the poor staff must be suffering in that heat 🥵..

They gave a fizzy fanta instead of a tropicana instead of ringing. Also when opened the sandwich half of the salad is missing paid extra for mozeralla and they didnt add that either. Dissapointing paying that much for a sandwich as a one off treat

The bread was like a rock it was so stale and there was far far too much sauce. Shame because would have been enjoyable otherwise. Delivery was quick.

Ordered a Ham sub 12 inch... there was NO HAM! How do you forget the HAM in a ham sub?

ordered Tuna on wholegrain. sub was stale and hard and the Tuna was so so dry. Must have been satnout for ages! but did get credit to my account. But my tea was ruined as I was in work and couldn't just make something else. so just had crisps :(

The food is very expensive. I would walk down to the subway store myself and save 50% of the money l spent today.

For the first time I'm very unhappy with Subway's service. The subway I have received has vegan patty in it when I clearly mentioned hash browns. The fries were very wet. Disappointed in Subway

15 min daily delivery make the food cold

Very rude and forgot half my ordered told me to get a refund and said they couldn’t send the driver back with my items joke if you ask me !

Lunch time service was excruciatingly slow, only 2 staff on and one of them seemed to be a new start. Spent 25 mins of my 30 mins lunch break in there waiting to be served, will avoid in future.

Terrible. Sub was cold and hard, paid for double filling and didn't get. Drink was missing and the didn't get the cookie I ordered. Who ever orders the stock at this place has no clue. 2nd time I've had terrible service. Only ordered as only one open. Almost £20 for a cold hard sandwich. Total Joke.

Really disappointed with the service, I had placed an order for a pickup of 2 separate foot longs and specifically mentioned the toppings in the order in caps - yet she put the wrong toppings in the sandwich. Moreover, the store was out of cucumber and pickles which I got to know during the pickup, felt like what's the point of paying you £7 for a footlong if you can't even make it properly and with ALL the mentioned toppings. They could've mentioned it online that some toppings are not available, I wouldn't even have placed the order. Such a waste of money and awful service from this store. Never ordering it from here ever again.

Today I was served by a very polite staff member by the name of Sara. She understands the true nature of hospitality and her service was exceptional. The food was prepared perfect and me and my girlfriend were very happy with our experience here! We hope Sara gets the recognition and praise that she deserves, we will definitely be returning in future thanks to her!

Absolutely disgraceful. I'm disabled and haven't eaten all day. Decided I wanted a subway as a treat. Big mistake. I ordered turkey break footling with salad, sauces, paid extra for bacon, alls I got was some processed turkey on some dry bread. Nothing else. The garlic cheesy slice was absolutely awful. Hardly anything on it. Mostly bread. Couldn't be bothered doing my order because it was nearly close time. Also found a disgusting hair in my food!! I will never order from here again!!!! Lazy incompetant workers!!!! Never felt so shocked at the disgusting food I was served. 20 quid for a couple of bits of smelly meat on some dry bread with a hair in!!!!! Horrified So now I'm left hungry!!! You should be ashamed of yourselves!!!

I am absolutely horrified. Ordered a footling turkey breast sub. Paid extra for bacon, salad, sauces.. The lot.... I ordered as a side a cheese garlic slice.... What I got... Well, you only have to look at the ohotos. I'm disabled and have been unable to cook for myself today, so when I eventually got hungry I decided to order a subway as a treat and this is what I recieved. Just a load of bread really with some smelly slices of meat slapped on and the cheesy garlic slice..... Well... Look at it. They should be ashamed of themselves!!!!!!! Worst subway I've ever ordered. 20 quid that cost me!!!!!!! Disgusting!!! Now I'm left hungry and out of pocket. Not to mention I found a hair in my food. Absolutely revolting. Staff need training in there because they are not fit to work in a food place!!!! Never in my life have I ever been delivered something so pathetic for 20 quid. Shame on you!!!!! I tried to call the place and got no answer as it was close time. They clearly couldn't be bothered!!!!

this is the first time i have every wrote a review as i work in hospitality and completely understand what its like, so you know my trip today was nothing short of terrible. i got there around 12:10 and only had two people ahead of me, i ended up paying for my sandwich at 12:30 ?!?! there were two members of staff working however there might as well of been only one. the woman with orange hair was lovely and extremely apologetic over her lazy coworker, she was basically working the place solo. the man on shift had tattoos, a beard and one earing and he was possibly the worst hospitality staff i'd ever seen i even joked with the girl next to me about how he needs sacking ASAP. whilst the poor woman was attempting to juggle the 6 customers who had just walked through the door he had stopped tending to the customers sandwich to pick up a bottle of sauce to ask his coworker if she had tried it yet?? i could sense her annoyance with him as he stopped preparing a customers order mid sandwich to gossip. at this point there was about 4 sandwiches ready at the salad bar, he then left to go in the back for about 10 minutes, i could sense both the customers and his poor coworker where growing more and more annoyed as the lady had to stop what she was doing to do his job for him and ring up the customers. when he eventually came back his coworker asked where he had been and what he was doing to which he just laughed?!?! honestly the most awful experience. for the sake of all the poor members of staff that have to work with him he needs to be sacked.

Overall it’s terrible, all the salad and vegtables are half frozen and mixed so if you had an allergy this could be very serious but they just don’t care! They don’t even cut the sandwich in half when it’s a 12inch and they nearly put anything on it. I asked for more sauce and she put the tinniest bit on. The bread itself was falling apart before she even started making it. Wouldn’t go again.

Put salad on my sub and couldn’t eat it as I don’t like salad also never put any cheese on it

The wrap had an insufficient amount of filling, it contained very little compared to every other wrap I have received from subway. Disappointing. The cookies were subpar as stale edges were forming around edges of the majority of the cookies. Although deliver was good

They got one of the subs wrong including forgetting to add the extras that I paid for, they gave us the wrong cookie and forgot our sauces

Being there on Saturday night last week, I became anxious because there was a long queue ahead of me and only one man serving. However, he was so quick that I never even imagined I would be served so quickly. I've never seen a subway sandwich maker as quick as he was. I believe his name was "Rave." The fact that he is from my nation means that I can easily order my sandwich in my native tongue.

And I ordered a Philly cheese steak sandwich, anyone anywhere around the world knows a Philly cheese steak sandwich is supposed to be toasted, it at least warm never ever cold. I think I shall pick another food delivery service in the future. These mistakes have been getting more and more. I order quite a bit from Just eat. Better service is expected. Too cold! The nacho chicken bites were completely cold! They were very small and chewy and the sauce to go with them was missing too. Definitely would not bother with them again. My sub bread roll was on the small side but it tasted nice. The filling was good and I got the right sauce and salad I ordered. Cookie was good as usal. Not terrible, but won't bother ordering toasted again if it's all going to be cold when it arrives. Needs to be delivered quicker or get some decent insulation for transporting!

We had to wait over an hour for food, my Mum's order had halepenos rather than gherkins and this really ruined it for her, she absolutely loves gherkins but doesn't like halepenos at all, this completely ruined it for her and she couldn't eat it. It was even more disappointing, as it had been over an hour's wait.

Sandwich was completely wrong, I received nachos rather than plain crisps which were cold and soggy by the time it arrived, and it was over half an hour late.

Went to subway Saturday 22nd of April had an amazing experience after a night on the town on my way home (solo) the girl with glasses made me a banging foot long and cracked some quality banter cheering me up from a night of failure the service was the best I ever had at subway and I was treated well despite not being able to walk or communicate properly the girl was very patient with my drunk ramblings as I tried to explain my sub order 10/10 would eat fresh again

Service is shocking, wasted 10 minutes of my work break waiting to be served😅There was only 1 other person in front of me who was also being ignored. Spent the entire time watching a woman restock. In most places I’m pretty sure you restock when you have a free moment & there isn’t customers waiting… I had to leave, went to greg’s & got the same type of sandwich + a coffee within two minutes & half the price. The subway on hanover street is MUCH better! Never had any problems there, both faster & better service☺️

Had a pepperoni slice that was £1.39 and my partner had a meal with steak and cheese sandwich which was £10. The slice was very oily and the sauce tasted sweet. The steak and cheese was good (imo) but my partner said there wasn't enough sneak. Price has gone up bc the meal used to be around £6 - £7 when I last went to subway. The staff were ok, a bit cold, could be more welcoming.

Really unhappy with the service I received from the Bold Street Subway this evening (20th Feb 23). I don't normally leave bad reviews, as I understand mistakes happen and people have bad days, but I went in to order 2 footlong subs, and the customer service of the man who was serving me was terrible. Initially, they didn't have the bread I was after, which is fine, they had a different one that I was happy with. Then he started making the wrong sandwich, I let him know and he apologised but then started scraping off the wrong items which started to tear the bread apart. I wouldn't have minded if he had picked them off, but he didn't seem to care about the sandwich falling apart which was annoying. He then put them in to toast and I paid for my order. When he took them out of the oven, he started to package them up in panini boxes, I asked him if I could get salad on them before he packed them up and he said that they didn't come with Salad. I replied that I wanted to get salad anyway, as most of it is optional, he said that he had already closed the subs. I then asked him if I'm not allowed to get salad on then and he said yes, I wasn't very happy because the salad is optional and doesn't cost more, so I should have been able to get salad on the subs. He then forced the subs into the panini boxes which left them mangled when I managed to get them out of the box, which took some time because they were trying to fall apart. The lady who was working was very lovely, but she didn't seem to want to get involved in the conversation when I was asking him for salad. I understand that it's not a big deal to not get salad on a sandwich, but I'm unhappy with the way I was spoken to and the complete dismissal of my request for something that should have been available.

12th Feb, 6.30pm. Walked in and smiled and said hello to the girl with brown hair behind the counter just to be answered with “what can I get you” in the rudest tone, and then asked what salad I wanted and proceeded to put 1 piece of spinach on my sandwich, 3 slices of onion and a tiny bit of sweetcorn, it was like she weirdly did it on purpose because she didn’t want to serve a customer because she didn’t look happy when I walked in at all. I usually love subway but this customer service and the product I paid for is the worst I’ve ever had.

That fat manager needs to sort her customers service skills out, clearly had other issues going on and was taking it out on the customers

She was really rude and it made sad, please don’t be rude when I was extremely polite to you. She told me there was no gluten free bread as I am deathly allergic and then the other man said there was so I can only assume she couldn’t be bothered to go to the freezer for it. Anyways this is a lesson to be told- please don’t be rude to people when they are being overly polite to you.

Food was fine, if a little cold, but the driver took an incredibly long time to get here then just left the delivery on the doorstep without even knocking on the door.

Was made to feel so uncomfortable from the minute I walked in the door. Walked in and asked “are you open?” To which I was replied to from a member of staff who stood up from behind the counter on her phone with a blunt “mm yeah” with a rude expression on her face. I asked for hearty Italian bread and when the staff member said there wasn’t any I asked what they did have and she rolled her eyes before proceeding to answer. I got wedges as well as my sandwich, the staff member put the sauce in the pot and I asked could I have it over the wedges instead. She then slammed the pot down on the counter and rolled her eyes AGAIN. Not a ounce of good customer service at all and has completely put me of going back.

Worst experience of customer service in my life, all staff need retrained and taught how to smile. Food looks like it was made by a 1 year old. Got told there was no original nachos just flamin hot but other member of staff made original ones after I had got my order. Stinking attitude and refused to give me her name after I asked.

I went to the pub then club so drunk then went straight here quick service and great food I always go there.

We were told that we would only have to wait outside for 15 minutes, that was a lie as we were made to wait outside in the freezing cold for over half an hour! The bouncer kept us outside and after waiting all that time then told us it would be another 15 minutes due to Uber orders. I would rather have been told this at the start of our wait instead of 30 mins in so we went to McDonald’s instead, much cheaper and quicker! Would not recommend this subway at all, not a good way to treat paying regular customers!! So disappointing :(

31.10 at 00.30. Me and my friends went to subway. The staff was rude. I ordered the salad and got the smallest bit of lettuce inside of it I don’t even think it could be considered a salad. Girl serving me was giving dirty looks like she doesn’t want to be there and blaming me for it. Bad experience wouldn’t recommend just pick another subway. Not even deserving one star.

Wet breed, really dirty restaurant and not a great experience.

I went there last Saturday with some friends we asked the staff member if she would book us a taxi but she was rude and told us to leave with no explanation at all. The bouncers they use are awful with no name for the company they work for on their uniform. They decided to get a hold of me and throw me out without no good reason. Won't be visiting Subway again or any other branch for that matter #BoycottSubway

Lady who served at 13:40 had a terrible attitude, throwing things on the tray, did no ask if I wanted sup toasted, she clearly can not be bothered in the role, might be time for a new job or some customer service training! I won’t be going to this one again! Might want to take some lessons from the subways more locals where the people are actually nice. If ordering at this subway is such an inconvenience, she won’t have to worry about further orders
