Subway in Allerdale

The menu has changed and it now slightly confusing. My favourite 'spicy italian' seems to be missing from the menu now but when I enquired, they said they could still make it - odd!. Prices have somewhat increased. Sandwich was ok.

Visited subway and unfortunately disappointed with their service. I started to order my meal and was told there is no options available as the manager didn’t put an order for new supplies. I ended up having a cheese sub and my son had a ham sub. There wasn’t many over options, no salads & no sauces paid over £10 and felt very unsatisfied with the whole experience. If you have no options way open. We ended up buy more food because my son could eat his ham as he said it was nice. Subway normally give a great choice and I enjoy the food, but on this occasion you have let me down.

Popped in 5 minutes before they closed for a couple of TLC footlongs. We were served by Josh who was extremely pleasant and polite. They had ran out of a few items of salad but with 5 minutes to close, I wouldn’t expect them to prep more only for it to go to waste. I would happily use again if in the area.

We've been here numerous times. I like the 9 seed bread but twice i've struggled to count 9 seeds let alone 9 types of seed. I did complain about it to them online after the 1st time (as I didn't know about it till i'd got my sandwich home). They still hadn't made it better after the next visit but I went just two week ago and it was better. The fillings you get are always nice, but they are a bit lean on the salads, in other Subways you seem to get more salad. Tasty sandwiches that fill a gap.

Frequently visited for lunch, staff always extremely friendly and quick with orders. Never had an issue here. Always had what I’ve wanted and it’s always been prepared well. Would absolutely recommend.

extremely rude staff, no choice of salads as they had none prepped (I used to work for subway in a different country, so know how it works!) Go to Greg's next door the staff there are super friendly and helpful, and always plenty of choice.

Popped in to get 5 sandwiches for me and the family, staff very friendly although maybe a bit slow. Sandwiches really nice and made the way we asked. Would return.

Recently went into this subway for a sandwich and come on here to write a review, seems everyone else had a bad time of it but I throughly enjoyed my sub, hot throughout, staff were friendly and helpful, counters looked amazing, fresh and appetising, all round a fab subway, would recommend and will return!

Called in after spending time with family and just wanted a quick snack. Having stood there for 10 minutes with absolutely no acknowledgment of me even existing I like everyone else went off to Greggs. Surely the situation and poor reviews cannot carry on before the staff are replaced by people who really want to work there!

Although this seems to be run by Euro Garages, this branch of Subway is nevertheless a Subway in appearance and content. It stops there though, sadly. The service is desperately slow, and the upselling at every opportunity a nuisance. I suspect the staff are not well trained, but do try. There never seems to be more than two on the counter, however busy it is. I have noted people giving up and going to the other concession - Greggs. This branch also shares its seating with Greggs, but seems to find it hard to find time to sweep and wipe very often. Staff also sit at the tables and eat - even if the counter is overrun with customers. Seating is also in a very draughty area - the main entrance door is open most of the time because the garage forecourt/shop is very busy. As Subways go this is, I'm sorry to say, not a good example.

So travelling past Cockermouth, very hungry, subway it is! Nearly a 30 mins wait to be served as there was 1 member of staff serving. When we got to the front of the que they had ran out of some stuff we wanted and pretty much had rad out of bread. The member of staff did apologise for the wait and it turned out he was on his own because the MANAGER (Simon) REFUSED to come to work before 5pm. The guy that was there did the very best he could and was very calm regardless of the increasing que and "hangry" customers . Shame on Simon the manager. Well done to the member of staff who's name I didn't catch. But was 28th December.

called in to get breakfast. there was no breakfast yet again. no one there so rang bell seen a member of staff on phone rang bell again just ignored .then the member of staff we heard heaving and coughing as though she was going to be sick. we was totally disgusted we and several others walked into greggs . when I was still waiting we seen the staff member walk out still coughing and took the bread rolls out of the oven. this put us of food in subway Cockermouth for good never again.

This isn't the best subway in the world, however, it isn't the worst. It is always clean and tidy and the staff are always friendly. Speed seems to be an issue when there is a long queue or it is busy. Other than that it is ok.
