Subway in Broxtowe

I have never seen such a rude staff before, they were unwilling to help. Also the cashier didn’t ask whether if I want a meal and took the payment after I told her I wanted a meal she said She can not reversed so I had to pay extra. Worst subway experience ever ( 17 july 2024 8pm.)

Firstly there's no hats being worn around the food area when serving,secondly they never swap there gloves from customers to customers, alot of cross contamination in my eyes ,no one clearing the shop floor area and clearly enough staff on shift 7 people including management

There were 5 or 6 Staff chatting around and not even one customer inside. While we waited to be served, staff were happy to chat between them rather than serving customers. Having experienced the poor service, we ended up dining next door and spent 3x of what we would have spent at subway. But, enjoyed a really nice meal with a pint. I hope the owner wouldn't go bankrupt for paying 5 staff at a time serving zero customers.

i am disgusted by the way the employees act towards customers as i was about to walk in a worker was sat outside starbucks with a group of friends he then cat called me in which all the others turned round which made me extremely uncomfortable, whoever that was you should be ashamed of yourself as i am a 16 year old girl who has not left school yet, i will not be visiting this stood again as i did not feel safe as shortly after he yelled he came in the store got his phone and went back out wich was very suspicious, very disappointed

Staff gave a really huge pressure on my sandwich to fit into the tube. I dare to say 50% stuffing had went off because she takes the wrapping paper off. Sauce falls off from the tube and I just asked can she please just wrap by the paper but she said she can’t and looking at me like looking an idiot because I’m not a local people???? I’m a Hong Konger

Served by a female subway artist who was rude and gave me the feeling that she’s borderline racist (we’re Indian). Who says arrogantly ‘what?’ when you don’t get what the other person said?. Agreeing with previous comments, rude service. Wouldn’t visit again, thanks!

Terrible customer service. The staff were so rude and were moaning to each other and slagging off previous customers. A girl with a supervisor badge on was so aggressive and complaining how she wants to go home and she hates it there... every table was filthy and had rubbish all over, not to forget the food all over the floor. Several customers walked through the door then ended up walking straight back out. The atmosphere was awful and I'll never go back to this subway again. Terribly run by a bunch of lazy, unprofessional teenagers.

I visited the giltbrook site 9/2/2024 and service was awful. I ordered a vegetarian option last to try and make things easier for the server ... she never changed her gloves after touching meat products. She seemed that she didn't want to be at work with her demeanour being cold and borderline rude throwing our food on to the trays. I could of forgiven this if the place was extremely busy or understaffed but non of these were the case. Not the best experience.

I regularly visit the Giltbrook subway store with my Daughter. I always find the staff to be friendly and polite and they prepare our subs exactly how we like - I cannot fault them. It can be an extremely busy store and they all work so hard. Working with the public can be a very difficult and challenging job with people quick to complain. I’d like to say thank you and keep up the good work ⭐️

Horrible store, no cleanliness at all. No was bothered to clean the tables. Food spilt on floor. Sandwiches were starving for fillings !! Did not like the visit at all.

Went for lunch with my two children today, was under staffed, one girl there appeared more interest in having a chat with her colleagues than serving. Tables were left dirty and when I went back to the counter for napkins as they had ran out the same girl stood talking to the server whilst I stood waiting, terrible!

Ordered the new meatball sub. Spent the last 3 days in agony with food poisoning. Never going there again

Very good service, roofus is a very nice positive guy who makes a good sub.

Wasted 30mins trying to get a sub. I was 2nd in the queue but the staff members were too busy trying to get their delivery orders sorted out or arguing amongst themselves. Restaurant was a mess and there was no apology, after all the waiting the sub was messy. Wouldn't recommend this place.

It's a Subway in a retail park, what more is there to say. The odd table needed a clean but overall satisfied with service and sandwich.

The new pre configured sandwiches are a joke, you cannot have extra salad with them, also the selection of salad has reduced and yet the price has risen considerably.

Went in here today with my girls . To find food scattered all over the floors and none of the tables had been cleaned not only cover in litter from previous customers but food and sauces smother over it . Absolutely disgusting. I'll never eat in there again

It was busy on a Saturday but the staff did a good job handling the rush!

Staff have poor attitude when making food. Seems to be going down hill, slow service, no one seems to know what station they’re running. Poor stock take as limited options.

The slowest service in the world. We waited 45 minutes to get served as they took priority over delivery orders rather than the in store customers.....waiting for so long, you start to notice things. It would be a good idea if the servers changed their gloves between clients. I didn't appreciate them handling meat with the previous customer then touching my food which was vegetarian. Plus they did keep coughing into their gloves and touching their faces. I would avoid this unhygienic place in the future.

Not the best staff are rude and just want you out the door, they seem to under portion you aswell I have steak and they do it way below the level mark on the big serving spoon this subway is the worst for portion size by far. Very tight indeed And doesn't really seem like they have a clue about time managment as they was all running around microwaving meatballs ect while people was waiting wirh toasted subs that was going cold. Kind of a joke and embarrassing really to watch them. There wasn't anyone older than 25 there and the higene was appalling the guy who was handling the till, money and buttons was using the same gloves to touch and wrap peoples food including mine. Very bad practices Be warned

Ok. Needs a bigger shop for where it is

It was near the end of the day, but it was not a great buying experience the staff seemed to be standing about and only 1 was actually working, I felt sorry for her.

Ordered for delivery. They waited an hour before sending me an email telling me my order had been cancelled

Just visited subway giltbrook with our granddaughter, how has a sesame allergy.. staff brilliant with cleaning station and changing gloves before we started our order.. very impressed

The worst Subway I've had the misfortune of using - constantly wrong orders then blames the delivery drivers for taking the cheese & salad off orders, come on! They forget crisps & drinks.. We will never use this Subway again, the manager needs looking into extremely rude and obnoxious.. This isn't the first time we have had these complaints.

Ambience is good , plenty of free Parking. Great place for pickup's and store is not crowded.

Ordered a foot long sandwich which was made in front of me. The ingredients looked to be well kept in there own area and not had bits of other ingredients dropped in each other. The salad was fresh and lettuce was not going brown as you find in other places. All in all a good experience the only reason I have dropped a star is because the hand sanitising station had ran out and it really needed tidying up.

Not been to a Subway in ages, fast service and nice food. The menu has been updated and it's a bit easier to read and know how much the deals are. Nothing out of stock for my sandwich and lots of bread - even though I was peak lunch time.

Went to this branch today waited ages in long queue the girls behind the counter serving were making up meat baps and meals we watched them for a good 15 minutes not once did any of them change their gloves after serving meat and dipped their hands into the salads with same glives on.If these staff worked in a NHS kitchen they would be sacked.Does no one train these staff terrible practisenot very good for vegetarian or vegan customers we ended up walking out

Good social distancing and nice food!

Absolutely delicious, social distancing was easy as it was not so busy, lovely fresh bread and crunchy fresh salad, mrs Stilton had meat and hers was delicious too. Fresh and fast, top marks Subway!

Popped in around 11:30 to pick up some lunch to take home. Obviously due to Covid, they are only doing takeaway anyway. Ordered 2 subs, hash browns and 2 chocolate donuts. The assistant put the donuts in paper bags but then placed them on top of the hot hash browns and toasted subs. By the time we got home 10 mins later they were a melted mess and had to be thrown away. In addition, 2 of the meatballs in my sub were tough and hard to chew, usually a sign of being over heated or more likely heated more than once. Awful meal, don't bother.

Very unhappy with the service. A blond chubby girl was extremely rude. When i asked not to put onions in my sandwich she said to her colleague that me and my partner are confusing her and to "make our bloody minds up". Won't be back. Very disappointed as we were nice to the staff as you could tell it was busy and we got that stinky attitude in return.

Great sandwich made after a long time one waiting to get into IKEA. Thanks for the quick service and probably the best sandwich I've had in months.

Subway's all right, food is ok but they do know how to charge don't they.

First of all I do not blame the staff...they all seemed busy...perhaps they are understaffed. The tables were a mess, needed wiping and clearing. Customers were doing it themselves. There was a ridiculous amount of food strewn on the floor ....what's wrong with people? If it was a child you would think the parents would pick up slices of meat and salad! The toilet seat had urine on it so I picked it up and the china had pubic hair on it! Food was OK but had to have one remade as it was burned ...it was forgotten and left in the oven.

2nd time I've been when they've run out of toppings. On arrival we were pointedly ignored whilst she cleaned behind the counter, no greeting or acknowledgement. Won't bother in future if this is the type of staff you employ

Staff were a bit moody, but it's subway, it's always nice, can't beat chicken tikka with cheese cheese and more cheese

Really disappointed with our visit today as the chap behind the counter was as helpful and happy as a discarded tampon. I asked for my sandwich toasted but I think they just showed it the toaster. Salad and chicken seemed old like it had been there a while!All in all a dismal trip and wont be returning anytime soon!

Brilliant service from the staff who attended us, Lovern and Joe (I hope im writting their names correctly). We were a family of 7 and they served all our food in under 10 minutes. We were in Pizza Express and waited for 1 hour and 30 minutes and they only served us drinks and 2 starters. We wallked out and landed in Subway very angry and left satisfied and with our bellies full! Thank you so much and see you soon!

The counter was quite messy with salad that had been dropped. Aside from that, standard subway - great tasting subs at a reasonable price

I popped in this afternoon as my daughter was hungry. I usually like subways and always plump for the veggie patty, however today I was told they didn’t have any of the patty’s in. I then asked what other veggie friendly options were available to be told there’s the veggie delight which is salad and cheese, but this was then followed up with ‘but we have no lettuce’! I ordered a kids meal deal and was told they had no boxes or toys. Come on Subway this is sub par service and was really disappointing!

Could have been cleaner. Messy floors and tables are not what you want in a restaurant.

My daughter and grandson wished to eat here . They love subway. Sadly I could not eat with them as I am allergic to vegetable peppers and as the staff only use one glove to go into all salad stuff then it's cross contamination and I would be very ill.

Average at best. We visited on a Saturday following an IKEA trip. All young Saturday staff working, possibly new or badly trained. Unhelpful and we felt rushed. The shop was busy although it was a mess and was far too hot. I won't be quick to visit this Subway again.

Food was piping hot and delicious, only downside is they have discontinued the raspberry cheesecake cookies! And also this subway is pricier than other local ones.
