Subway in Edinburgh, City of

This is a subway. It is the same as every other subway in Edinburgh. Staff seem decent, as I said, it is a subway.

Visited a couple of weeks ago to get a sub for my hubby. Service was quick and staff member was very friendly. Shop was very clean. They had some great deals for a sub and a drink.

I ate here last summer on a pleasant weather day.Outside the restaurant were nice tables and chairs in a pavement patio type setting where you could eat your sandwich and watch the world go by in relative comfort.Today i returned on a similarly pleasant day hoping to do the same only to find all the seating had disappeared.The one very helpful member of staff informed me that the tables had all been vandalised,i looked around for some indoor seating,only to find some shelves,chest height which you could stand at and eat your meal like a horse from a hay rack.Not a seat in sight.Whilst i am totally against vandalism of any kind and am cognizant of the problems it causes i do feel that subway are responsible for replacing the outside seating.You cannot leave paying customers in Edinburgh's premier seaside resort with no seating whatsoever to enjoy their meal.I had to take out my tea and sandwich to the seafront which had turned decidedly chilly.Sorry subway,unacceptable.The prospect of enjoying the new style sandwich was spoiled in the circumstances.
