SUBWAY in Kingston upon Hull, City of

Costa next doorwas full so I thought I would have a coffee and a wrap at Subway. I was the only customer. Both food and drink were awful, but the real horror is the loo. No paper and the toilet stained and held together with duct tape.

Shocking. Not even worth the receipt the order is written on. Drinks were wrong, sandwich was wrong, no crisps etc etc. It would have been more understandable if they delivered someone else’s order but our order on the receipt was right, they just couldn’t be bothered to read it. Should have just gone to cooplands.

Great sandwich as always with good range of filling available. Just a shame about the amount of time it takes to be served

We are regulars at this Subway as we don’t live far. Today, our experience was far from enjoyable. Although the food was good, the customer service was shocking. It took 15 minutes for the sandwich artist to sort her bread out, whilst we were stood waiting in the queue of just one person. When she eventually got around to being able to serve, she made our sandwiches and asked if we would like them with cheese and toasted, so we said yes. After this, we got our salad added on and the artist who was doing this didn’t seem like she was motivated to even be at work. When we sat down, I took a bite into my sandwich and realised that there was no cheese. My partner’s sandwich didn’t have any cheese either. I went back to the till and I said I was unhappy with our sandwiches, she asked if I would just like the cheese just added onto my sandwich. I said I wanted a fresh sandwich because who wants a slab of cold cheese added onto your pre-made sandwich? So I had to stand for another 10 minutes for her to make our sandwiches again. Overall, a very disappointing experience and 45 minutes of my life that I’ll never get back. If anyone is to go here, there’s a 95% chance you’re going to get absolutely shocking customer service.

Don’t believe any of the staff have been properly trained. Terrible customer service- staff shouting across at each other in conversation whilst serving customers. Very inappropriate and incredibly rude. Do not want to hear about how much staff “don’t care” whilst I’m being served. One member of staff was particularly unhappy with my request for 3 sauces on my sub, mumbling “we’re not supposed to give away this much sauce”. I have been ordering the same sub for years across the country and this is the first I’ve heard of a complaint because I asked for 3 sources. I have had a poor experience every time I’ve visited this subway. Please train your staff.

Called in today for a quick sandwich, was totally discussed with the condition of the place. The council will be getting a copy of the photographs.....

dropped in for a sandwich the place was filfy the sign said no coffee apart from black the seats are all ripped the three of us used the toilets they were disgusting there was layers of dirt on the wooden surfaces the staff looked unclean too cant believe the state of the place

Made the mistake of going to the subway located in the service station on corner of Hesse road and Madely street today . Was served by the most miserable grumpy borderline rude employee who pulled a face every time I asked for salad items in my sandwich . She totally begrudged putting any meaningful portion in my sandwich and when I asked for more she looked at me like I was muck on her shoes . Didn't realise till I got home he charged my drink and sandwich separately when I asked for a meal deal . Probably her revenge for having the audacity to ask for meaningful amounts of salad . Would never ever go back here . The mature lady with long dark hair in a ponytail . Thanks for nothing

Depending on what time of the day you come or which staff are on this place is very much Hit and miss. On occasions staff have appeared rude but on other times there really nice. Never ever have Italian Herbs & Cheese bread or the sauce to do a Pizziola. Also the shop is far too hot in summer. Time it right then Subway is great time it wrong and you'll wish you hadnt bothered.

Called in for lunch and was disappointed that choice of type of bread not available on hat day and hey had run out of tomatoes !! However staff helpful and friendly. Efficient too. Freshly prepared and tasty. Some of ingredients a little 'processed' for my liking but generally , good , fresh stuff.

Not interested in the full breakfast at our hotel, I had breakfast here on three occasions (a foot flatbread with egg and veg on the last day as we had a longish way to drive back), and we've not complaints at all about the meal or the service - and the food really counts if you're vegetarian like us. Great!
