A great place to watch sport! So many screen and good staff too - a good choice of beer too, mainly lager

Needed food before checking into our hotel and this was one of the few places open on a Monday afternoon. Sports bars are not my favourite and the bank of huge screens behind the bar nearly had us running out. But thankfully we stayed and had the most delicious toastie and fish finger sandwich (both with chips). It's well worth giving it a go. Dropped a star because of the sport - sorry. It improved when the staff changed and the screens were muted so they could play music!

O'Learys bar (formally jazz bar) is a large impressive bar in a former bank. There is a wide choice of beers lagers and fruit ciders put sadly no cask conditioned Real ale. There is a really nice outside seating area for summer, and sometimes live music. They have recently started serving food although I haven't tried it yet.

Small blond girl behind the bar was really rude. Asked me to turn my phone down whilst I was watching a video on my phone!!! She said people were watching the adverts !!! Wasn't loud at all !! obviously she needs an early night. Miserable

Absolutely disgusting was says grilled fish on menu but was microwaved fish 🤮🤮

The bar has recently started serving food and I must say it was delicious. I had the large fish and chips.

Getting a little bit old now. Needs a tidy up and bringing up to date. UPDATE 02/2023: has been modernised over the last two years and is a lot better than when it was Jazz Bar. Cleaner and a lot more space to move around.

Had a couple of drinks in here, atmosphere wasn't bad, great DJ. Drinks we had were nice, but when going to spend a penny you were confronted with scene from Hell.

Came to hull with a group of friends for the first time, and we were instantly drawn to O'Learys, beautiful beautiful place! The aesthetic and vibe was incredible, and phenomenal bar staff, Mel was the only one one shift all night and she was fantastic, catered to every need and went the extra mile to help us around Hull and I'll also commend her on the incredible music taste! We will definitely be back in the near future. My only complaint is that the diet coke was very flat and didn't taste quite right however, this didn't dampen my mood as there was a vast array of other drinks to choose from! Top place

Great looking bar , super atmos

Walking through the city a few days ago, after lockdown, for the first time in a very long time and fancied a coffee. Not this establishments stock in trade, but it was open, so we walked in. All the expected COVID19 safety measures were in place so we felt safe and happy to be there. It was quiet as not a peak time, the staff were friendly and quick to serve. Coffee was nice and would have no problem going back another time for a night out. Thank you O'Learys staff.

It is now called O Learys and it's great inside and also has an excellent outdoor space with a bar and the decoration is superb and all new

Nice big bar, only been twice but usually have some sort of act on. Food is quite substantial too

This is an amazing place no matter when you go. They have open mic nights and even reasonably priced drinks if your coming here your going to have an amazing time

A bit dated, but had live music. Lacked atmosphere with a few poeple in Thursday before 10pm. It was a rainy day. Enjoyed the 8 yr Bacardi with one cube of ice. Toilets down steps. Females down and up stairs.

Stopped in for a pint, very quiet but friendly and approachable, but when sitting down noticed all the old chewing gum stuck to the underside of the tables, is this what's the done thing in here or in Hull? Why does no one clean up? Pretty disgusting.

Saturday nights, Great Atmosphere with Resident dj Terry Mckay

Very well presented food and lovely venue.

Good little bar located in Hulls Old Town. Saturday nights are banging with their resident dj playing some classic house music which really creates a great atmosphere if your in to that sort of genre of music, which I am 😁. Drinks are reasonably priced, staff are friendly including door staff. Had a number of good night's in here and will hopefully continue too.

Good for live music but often closed during peak times and Sundays. Food average, does have seating area round the back which is nice in summer but usually have to ask staff to open it for you. Also women's toilets are up 2 flights of stairs not ideal for those who struggle a bit...especially after a few drinks!
