Like most food places they’ve gone for the order on a computer no human interaction model. Which is slightly ironic considering it was a custom sandwich shop where you could interact with the staff as they made your sandwich so you could have it how you like it, now you order and are then presented with your food at the end.

The touchscreens simplify nothing! Let's just go back to basics. If I wanted a touchscreen I'd go to McDonald's. 2 sandwich orders, both wrong and suggested it was user error. Slower, harder and no where near as tasty.

Called in during a visit to Halfords only to be greated by a rather abrupt girl behind the counter, no greeting, no "can I help you" just a "We dont take orders any more over the counter you have to use these now" and pointed one of the numerous screens along the counter, "You us the app" she said, and with that moved onto the next person standing beside me. I'm not sure what ever the policy is for buying goods these days but am I still to understand that actual coinage is still legal tender? Oh and good manners, I thought, was part of customer services.

I think the franchise owner should really listen to the customers of this store. The new kiosks are an absolute nightmare, even the staff members have to stop what they are doing half the time to help people navigate what they want. Can you imagine a busy sandwich shop with just 4 self service kiosks, and the staff tell you not to use 2 of them because they are stupidly slow! From the point of paying at the kiosk it took 35 minutes to receive 2 subs alone. The practises are completely wrong, and customers are seriously noticing this. Many including myself will go to other subway stores that actually appreciate their customers. To anyone thinking of visiting - save your time and look elsewhere…

The new kiosk ordering system is a massive step backwards. It's understandable that businesses are now trying to be more digital and streamline, but in the case of Subway, this detracts from the main draw point; to be able to see your food being created and have input in the end product. The kiosks completely cut-off the view of the preparation station, meaning you have no clue what is being put into your sub. A 6-inch sub, having Cucumber and sweetcorn as the only salad, should not have three wafer-thin slices of Cucumber and a teaspoon of sweetcorn. Compared to the usual amount of sauce I like, it was pitiful; I would have more sauce on it wiping the wraper of a correctly-sauced sub. When asking for double cheese, this does not mean two triangles stacked because they couldn't be bothered to separate it. ALL OF THE ABOVE is in addition to the fact that I ordered a footlong, and because I couldn't see the process, it was only when they passed me the bag and I felt it was light did I realise they had made a 6" sub, meaning I had to wait another 5 minutes (past the 20+ minutes I had already been waiting) for them to make an additional 6" sub In short, this "improved" system has removed almost every iota of appeal; the "sandwich artists" are now simply fast-food workers slaving away behind a barrier to produce sub-par (excuse the pun) food with no creativity or personalisation whatsoever.

New set up with digital media screens for ordering. Makes chosing less interactive and you can't see the food. Service is far slower. All tables were full but used as a waiting room, no-one had food yet. Previously you just pointed at the food, chose what looked nice and saw it processed to the till. That was nice.

I rarely leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience with Subway’s new kiosks. Unfortunately, these kiosks undermine the core appeal of Subway: the ability to customize your sandwich exactly how you want it. Whether it’s extra mayo, just a little, or specific toppings, the kiosks fail to replicate the personal touch and flexibility that made Subway unique. Additionally, the kiosks eliminate human interaction and create unnecessary complications. For instance, purchasing a single cookie or drink now requires using the kiosk, which is not only inconvenient but also detracts from the overall experience. To make matters worse, the kiosks lack clear signage for features like the scanner. During my visit, I spent time figuring out its location, and several other customers faced the same issue. Even the staff struggled to provide clear instructions. To top it off, my sandwich was poorly made and not to my specifications. One of Subway’s strengths was watching your sandwich being crafted with care, ensuring it was made exactly how you liked it. This new system takes that away entirely, reducing Subway to a generic, impersonal fast-food experience. If kiosks become standard across all locations, I will no longer be a Subway customer. The unique, personalized experience that set Subway apart is being lost.

I recently had the misfortune of visiting Subway, and let me tell you, it was a nightmare. Gone are the days of friendly sandwich artists crafting your meal just the way you like it. Instead, I was greeted by a cold, impersonal touchscreen that stripped away the joy of customization. Ordering on a screen felt like placing a fast-food order in a futuristic dystopia. I wanted to add more sauce and ask for extra veggies, but the machine didn't allow for any of that. It was as if Subway decided that they know better than their customers what makes a good sandwich. What’s the point of going to a place that prides itself on customization if I can’t even request a little extra of my favorite ingredient? It felt like they were taking my creativity and preferences and tossing them in the trash along with my sandwich dreams. Overall, this experience was a letdown. I won’t be returning until they bring back the human touch in the sandwich-making process. If you value personalization in your meals, steer clear of this soulless, automated setup!

Arrived at 12:53 and at 13:09 I still wasn’t served. The line of customers just left waiting whilst the TWO staff members presumably crack on with Deliveroo/Uber Eats/ online orders with another one sat in the back room. As has become standard practise at Subway now, toasted sandwiches are left to get cold again whilst piling up awaiting their salad - salad dresser is having to change gloves between each sub and between ringing through till orders. All of this made longer by awkward customers who didn’t use the previous wait of 20 minutes in the queue to decide what they wanted. The sandwich I received at 13:26 however was banging tbf. Proper tasty.

Where do I start!? Ordered 2 chicken tikka salad bowls with double meat.. £7 each! I wouldn’t have minded anywhere else but we hardly got any salad to go with it. A small handful of lettuce, a few slices of cucumber, minimal helping of peppers, a dash of sweetcorn, a slice of red onion, spoonful of grated cheese and a small drizzle of mayo/southwest! For the last time... I tried this branch! ..... Don't go there! I payed for a foot long tuna sub..... The tuna is non existent and the (bacon I payed extra for was 2 tiny pieces on a foot long!! Also there bread is stale, asked for extra onion🤔 (charged for all the extras... bacon and cheese) yet I diddnt even get the normal amount! Worst experience I've had with a subway. Staff look miserable working there. Came here with my friend and ordered something off the breakfast menu (bacon and cheese 6 inch sub). Got charged £5 just for the sub but questioned it. The guy said he charged it on the daytime menu and changed the price back for me. When my friend payed for a vegan steak 6 inch sub, they tried to charge her £10 for it, but then corrected it back to £5 when she questioned it. Her bread was stale, but my food was fine. No apology after trying to overcharge us twice, and made the atmosphere uncomfortable with their terrible customer service.

When entering the store, it smells like fresh bread, which gets your food pallet tingling . It was a nice atmosphere, not too many people queuing, and plenty of seats available. The staff were friendly and helpful when making a selection, serving with a smile. They offer gluten-free bread for those who would like to know, and they try their best to make sure they do not contaminate you. I will say, though, eating here as a coeliac may be risky as all the fresh ingredients are often touched or placed back into containers, so i would say eat here at your own risk. My wife is coeliac, and she chooses to eat here, and it's not often that she has any symptoms. Overall a nice place to grab a tasty sandwich!

Ordered food at 3pm was delivered the wrong order at 5pm, said they'd re make my order and get it delivered by 6. Delivery driver didn't show up to the store so employee said they'd deliver on route home now 7pm still no food store has been closed for an hour now. They always miss items off had to claim multiple refunds genuinely beyond a joke. Update - Poor guy closing and cleaning everything alone has just got in touch will be delivering food soon has gone above and beyond - Josh has gone above and beyond and certainly deserves some recognition for his perfect customer skills today

Food offered is okay in itself however the service didn't impress... The lady taking our order was not interested in customers needs and was aiming to deal with the queue waiting to order... So we had to order sides that we required after the subs were ready and in that time orders were taken from 5 more customers who had to wait in between the ordering spot and the salad station... At this point not only social distancing went out the window, customers also were unwillingly stepping into one another's space. Quality of the service should have been valued and prioritised rather than speed. Next time we'd rather drive to Top Valley Subway where service is always top class!

Went in yesterday (Sunday 16/05/2021 around 2pm) and was greeted by a man (who was on his own) the queue was really big however I was so impressed with his customer service skills, he apologised for the wait and was so professional whereas I think I would’ve been so stressed, I wasn’t the only one who commented on how good his customer service skills were someone in front of me did to! I didn’t feel rushed at all and actually no one minded the wait as we were greeted with kindness! I wish I took his name but he was tall and had a tattoo on his arm! Hope you figure out who it is and give him praise as he is a credit to your team!

The food was lovely, I ordered through Uber Eat and his guy called Mazhar picked up my order, drove it to my house, parked across the road, took a photo of my house, didn't get out of his car , marked the order as delivered and he left no food on door step. Driver started journey on Willow Avenue, off Conway Road, he returns to address before delivering and he drives a black Toyota Yaris. I had to order again and now i'm waiting for a refund for the first order that wasn't delivered

The floor is often covered in rubbish/food and it's always a headache placing an order due to competing noise/staff distraction. Went on a Friday lunch time and shouldn't have been a mess it was in. Almost every table had waste on it and those that didn't needed wipes down. Food served was good..... But the state of the sitting area really let it down.

I love a subway salad. Decent sized portions. Good prices, healthier than maccy ds. My only complaint is a foot long should be a foot long not 11 inches. Those sort of lies should be kept for us fellas trying impress the ladies.

We had small fish, chips and peas. Only £4.95! Really tasty! Chips we piping hot and fresh and the fish was delicious. Parking was a bit tricky as there are other food outlets and not many spaces, but all good. Staff were friendly too!

2nd time in about 4 weeks and OMG so nice, This time had 4 different meat dishes and all tastes different unlike most places feeding 8 people loads of food

Papa Johns used to be my go-to pizza place as it was local, has a points system, and I have a love for the garlic dip. I ordered from here because I was going to lose my points. I felt like I could barely taste any of the pizza toppings. It came with halloumi, which has a salty taste, and there was just nothing - perhaps it was from being baked on the pizza? I'm not sure. The peppers were spicy and nice on their own, but I didn't feel like it went well with the pizza. I'm also disappointed that it no longer comes with the buttery dip, and you have to pay extra for it. I ordered loads of sides. I like the cauliflower wings, which were crispy and delicious. The garlic bread is huge with loads of cheese on the top. I also ordered potato tots, where I got my dip fix from. Would've been nice for more sides to have a "pick your dip" option. Also, the food was lukewarm at best. I know they didn't have a delivery driver and had to use an Uber, so perhaps its just a consequence of that. I immediately got an email apologising for the delay and a code for a free pizza, so at least Papa Johns is aware of the challenges it's facing. Really ashame. But I'll probably still go back to redeem this pizza code. Hopefully, there will be improvements when I return.
