I have been a loyal customer for year's...to expensive £40 for a meal for 1....joke.. great curry terrible customer loyalty.. not happy.

As they say “you get what you pay for. “ Bash was fantastic over the phone helping me amend an order. The Indian food is fantastic a must for Indian food lovers.

We had 2 Curries or so they were Called A so called Biryani which was in a Red Sauce, which I’ve never seen before, totally Tasteless & a chicken Jalfrezi which again very red & not up to Scratch! I know Biryani’s arnt the same as the original Bengali ones which were amazing but The Young ones just can’t be bothered to get them anywhere near! I wanted a Chicken Pathia but it was not available! At The Price they are now Charging I would hope for Better not worse? I won’t be going again but I don’t suppose their bothered anyway!

Never Again! A 3-hour wait for a below average curry is just not acceptable. Had to make several phone calls to ask what was happening only to be repeatedly told “it’s on its way”. Nans and kebabs were fine but lamb rogan josh was very bland. AVOID!

Took over 2 hours to arrive! When questioned they blamed everyone else! Will NEVER use them again

Have had many meals from Spice, Westdale Lane. Never been disappointed yet. To cap it all they gave us a Christmas box of chocolates this year…how thoughtful is that. THANK YOU to all staff at Spice.

Chicken tikka massala is beautiful, thick and full of flavour. Best I've had in a while. Fresh, perfect poppadoms. Homemade lime pickle is amazing😋 thick mango chutney, bang on. Cheesey nan is loaded with cheese, hot and fresh! 10/10 new favourite place.

Staff rude on the phone, order didn’t turn up. Driver took it to the wrong house, and they were not bothered. Said it’s not there problem and wouldn’t give us a refund or actually send us our food!

Absolutely fantastic takeaway we had a very large order for 26 people with a very short notice the service and food was fantastic everything came correct and hot and fresh I would always recommend this takeaway

We haven’t ordered from here before but sadly won’t be back, we ordered the meal deal which would have been great value for money if we ate it. The onion salad that comes with the popadoms had a very odd smell and taste, almost like they were kept in stale water, the popadoms were ok, we had a mixed kebab starter which had a really nice onion barji, two small pieces of tandoori chicken which were tasty but a tad dry, and a lamb kofta which wasn’t nice, it wasn’t cooked enough and had a hair going through the middle. The main course was a chicken Balti, this was ok, but it wasn’t spicy at all, for a medium curry I would expect a little spice, there was 4 thin slices of chicken breast. The rice was fine, the side dish was Bombay potatoes, I have never had Bombay potatoes that were made from new potatoes, they tasted like they had tomato purée on them, a little weird. All in all I we was very disappointed and won’t be ordering again from here

I said ok, more annoyed and hungry now, and waited. At 8:40pm I called a third time. I was met with a different person to the last 2 times. He was very blunt and dismissive. He said it had left 5-10min ago and would be here within 10 minutes. I said ok and waited. Finally at 9:06pm I called and I had a different man again answer the phone. He was now trying to get onto me, saying the driver was downstairs 5 min ago and called me 3 times. I have used deliveroo for years and never had someone say they called me and it not go through. Ontop of that I had ordered from Spice before and there was never an issue when calling me. I had my phone by me the entire night and I had 0 calls from a delivery driver. I told him he was lying. He continued to tell ME I WAS WRONG. The audacity. I hung up and cancelled my order.

This was a really mixed experience. Firstly, even though we ordered through Deliveroo they do the delivery themselves. Therefore the timings shown on Deliveroo are not correct and our food arrived 50 minutes later than indicated. We also have the feeling that they assume we are ignorant about Asian food. Firstly we ordered veg pakoras yet received samosas. Then lamb methi (fenugreek) didn't contain any of the vegetable, the sauce consisting mainly of peppers. There were some clearly home-made relishes with the poppadums - very enjoyable. The Peshwari naan was excellent and also notable that the main courses were in generous quantity, plenty left over for another dinner. The garlic chilli chicken was inedibly spicy - OK, fair enough, they did warn us! The lamb in the 'methi' was extremely tender. The tarka dhal was right up there with the best we ever ate. Would we order from Spice again? Yes we would....

Sorry to say but the food can only be described as bland. Not the slightest bit spicey. My daughter who finds pepper spicey said it was sweet…. Very disappointing as food used to be fantastic from here.

Absolutely vile food wouldn't feed it to my dog ordered a korma couldn't believe it i can't even compare it to anything I've ever had other than gone off slop definitely wouldn't recommend don't waste your money tbf

Heard about this restaurant takeaway so had to try and it did not disappoint the staff was really friendly and the food when served up was 10/10 would recommend to any one looking for a tasty takeaway

I never really write reviews, as when I have a bad experience I just brush it off and think it may have been a mistake. But I will never order from spice again as my partner and I never enjoy our meals. The curry’s are so plain and have no real taste. And for the price that you pay, you can’t even enjoy it thinking ‘you get what you pay for’ because you don’t, it so expensive making it more frustrating when it’s inedible. What a waste of £50🤦‍♂️

Over an hour late and item missed off order.

App indicates a completely false delivery time. Shows as delivered when food hasn’t even left restaurant yet. Very frustrating to ring and find order that is already late will be at least another half an hour. Think twice about ordering from here if you want your food delivering promptly! Not the first time order from here has been late.

I am a regular customer at spice but my experience wasn’t great . My order was 45 minutes late and the madras( which I have every time) was made with way to much spice! I couldn’t even eat it unfortunately

Had an issue with my deliveroo order where I forgot to order rice. Called the restaurant and I spoke to Bash who told me it was no problem and they would send it out anyways. Incredible service and even more incredible food. Will definitely be ordering again.

Late every time. And in the restaurant they must be selecting that your delivery has been delivered! , as it always says it’s been delivered but when you call they say it’s just leaving. And turns up 20 mins late. Great food but always late and longer than expected delivery time.

Always perfect, they did forget an item but re delivered in super quick time. The food is always piping hot and so tasty

Dont use the time estimate on your app as a guide. They take roughly 85 minutes to deliver. Its one of those "we'll be hungry in 2 hours lets order it now" sorta places. If your hungry now try elsewhere

nice food, poor service and communication, apparently the delivery folks also don't get access instructions. food turned up nearly an hour after due time and flagging as delivered on the app. One assumes a busy/bad night, as meal was its usualy good quality.

Long time regulars of spice but tonight’s order was a joke. Showed as delivered at 9pm. Rang at 9:20pm to see where it was and told it would be 20mins. 30mins later phoned again to be told it hadn’t left yet. 10:25pm we gave up and ordered from elsewhere. Hopefully we’ll get a refund.

Really not good. Delivery was approximately 45 mins and it was over 90 mins. Cold food and the sauce was just oil like it had been thinned out so much there was no taste left.

Waiting an hour and a half for delivery from the time the app said it was out for delivery. Food was stone cold. Usually good service and food but today was shocking. Put us off from ordering in the future!

Food is all cold having to reheat it all never had this problem with spice before

We ordered on-line and received a message giving an estimated delivery time of an hour and a quarter to an hour and half. An hour and a quarter after we ordered we received a message that the food was out for delivery. (We live 10-15 minutes walk from the take-away.) The food actually turned up no less than 45 minutes after the message was sent. Good food, but the delivery service is not fit for purpose.

Order was ready on time, nice pleasant staff, food was nice hot & even by the time I got home. Naans nice and fresh 5*

From a stated 25-40 mins, then after 40 mins stated was on its way and arriving by 21:00, finally arrived 21:32. Food was ok, korma lacking a bit of flavour but passable. Requested cutlery as in hotel, asked driver and he confirmed it was in there... it wasn't.

We order regularly from this restaurant and never have an issue. This time, however, our food was delivered an hour later than the latest approximated delivery time. We understand that delivery times might be longer on a weekend (which is when we ordered) but then the app should give a better estimation on delivery time! Please can Just Eat organise a refund. By the time we received our order we (and our children) were ready for bed and no longer hungry.

I ordered the chicken madras which is the only curry I have, but the madras tonight wasn’t nice at all it tasted different/weird than usual like powdery, bitter and salty. It tasted that bad we couldn’t even eat it but also the same thing with the pilau rice and it left us wondering if it was a different chef tonight. Very disappointing and we ended up cooking which was defeating the purpose.
