Subway in Chelmsford

Cleanliness of the place is disgusting.

I'm annoyed with myself as pressed the wrong one as I like it toasted but even though I made that mistake my sub was still nice

Update..'Disappointing that customers don't understand this' is because no signs tell you this is possible. If something's disappointing with my business then I would change it and you've obviously had that problem before then. All servers were busy so we thought this must be the case. It would be nice that vegan or vegetarian options were accessible from the main menu rather than having to scroll through all the different menus. Other fast food outlets don't seem to have a problem with this. Fast food doesn't mean having to stand there for ages trying to decipher a menu. Your food is normally excellent so it's disappointing that it's not that easy to order it. Original review.. Changed ordering to screens and impossible to bring up a vegan or vegetarian menu quickly. Also they've got rid of meatless marinara and meatless teriyaki beef. Had to leave it and go somewhere else. Shame.

Everything else was fine but the cookie was a bit hard not fresh and the crisps were stale

HEMAK has very bad attitude with customers. Is arrogant and is very rude with his staff. 👎🏻

had to throw the whole thing in the bin. absolutely drenched in mayo. did not ask for this. very very dissapointing

Hands down, some of the best food I’ve had recently! They use the freshest ingredients and make sure each dish is done the right way. The waffle fries was especially memorable. Must try

It’s a good handy place to go and grab your snacks in the Chelmsford area. Staff is amazingly nice and polite. Overall it’s a nice and clean place to go.

Last year this place was good Now? The entire salad bar had cross contamination in every dish!! Jalapeños, corn and ‘drips’ in ALL dishes. Disgusting. The staff did not listen. The staff do not speak English. I am talking Basic words “what is in the tuna tot? “NO ONION and NO SAUCE” It was ridiculous. We will NOT be back.

Pleasant service. This is my 3rd time visit in the shop and I have always been served best quality food in any subway ever. Highly positive staff and always cleaning and hygiene on top.

I am a big sub eater who loves subway. The outlet is just in front of the ARU Chelmsford campus. When I joined the ARU as new student, I was worried about veg food and stuff. Everywhere I could only find non veg stuff. Then one of the team members at this subway outlet Hemak Kumar, helped me in choosing fresh veg stuff here. Also, this outlet is less expensive than few other ones where I have been in London and some other parts. Now I am a regular customer. Many thanks to Hemak, Sachin, Jatin, Aman and entire subway team for serving me regularly.

I used to get subway from here all the time and it was always lovely, never had any problems. I’ve had this subway 3 times recently and every time it’s been missing items it’s not toasted with cheese. There’s barley any ingredients inside or meat. I’ve received the wrong crisps/drinks. Clearly not training there staff. It’s not hard to read what’s been ordered?

The food is excellent. The customer service very good, they called to check my order. Delivery time exceptional.

The notorious BMT had no sauce or salad bits

Ordered two different subs got two of the same which were inedible because had so much sauce inside them. It was everywhere! Doritos were burnt black! Inedible

Standard subway, well placed for the university just across the road. Food was good and the staff were all pleasant and friendly. Clean and tidy with seating available.

There was tomatoes in my sub which I didn’t order and missed the BBQ sauce that I did order. Please make extra attention to detail is maintained at all times to reduce risk of legal action against people that have allergies. Overall good food and delivery, just be careful!

One of the best Subway’s I've ever tried and the best in Chelmsford for sure! The employees are so kind and helpful and constantly have a beautiful smile on their face, making the customers feel at ease to place orders. Very clean and organised with free parking behind the store. Food was delicious and tastes so much better from this store than at other Subway’s I’ve been to. Definitely highly recommended.

Waiting for my sandwich to be made and witnessed “The most toxic workplace” I’ve been to. Literally seeing the manager / supervisor arguing with her colleague over “someone turned off the music” and blamed her colleague non stop during my 20 minutes of waiting. In the end, she just dumped the sandwich bag in my hand rather than passing over nicely. Drama over music… 😂 Subway. Please sort out your employees’ relationships. It affects customer service quality Badly. 🙃

My order is wrong. I ordered chicken tikka salad and I have plain chicken salad.

Most of it was good but I had ordered wedges and they arrived in a box with tinfoil wrapped around it. They had gone very soggy although they tasted ok. Bit disappointed.

Paid for double cheese and did you get this. Was rather small on comparison to previous salads.

Always great food from here but asked for a breakwhich with no egg today and there was egg in it when it got here. Please just take 5 seconds to read the comment section on your orders. You don't let us remove things via the menu so it's the only place we can ask.

Worst subway I have ever had just had 1 gluten free tuna looks like it has been sat on and over done. Meatball all falls out of roll looked like it had been in car crash now my shirt looks like subway taster shirt.

Did not get everything that I ordered. They missed the beacon. Food was still good.

Ordered salad from subway.. I forgot to add olives so I called them.. had a talk with manger Hemak, he is a star.. when I received my meal it was so delicious. Would love to order more from them.

Ham and cheese sub was really dry and had barely any ham in it and the ham it did have was all up one end and not much cheese.

Ordered a chicken and bacon footlong, and opened it and found no bacon at all which I paid extra for! Also paid for priority delivery which said 10-20 mins delivery and ended up being double that.

Brilliant service & great food

Had to knock stars off due to unpicking the paper wrapping that got stuck in the squashed sub. Sub was outstanding as usual and the cookies

My drink, cookie and wedges were all missing.

Subs weren’t as full as usual. Disappointed.

The tuna footlong was great the salads looked like they had a fight with them before leaving the shop not the best salad have had better from them.

Ordered on just eat and got confirmed and then cancelled. Must say im glad it got cancelled as when i went into store to re-order i spoke with a member of staff who proceeded to wipe his mouth with some blue roll and then wipe the food prep surface with the same blue roll
