I had a very disappointing encounter today when my wife and I came to order food. She had ordered a margarita for herself and a pepperoni for her friend. But the server had made the pepporoni and margarita together in one pan and on the same sheet. This was only discovered when they had seen the server picking the cheese off the pepperoni slice and putting it on the magheritta. This firstly could have been a mistake, so my wife stated she can’t have this as it’s been with the pepperoni and she doesn’t eat pork. The server looked at her very confused and asked why? She then further explained, she doesn’t eat pork and only halal meat hence why she ordered the magheritta. The server then asked, “so you don’t want this?” This was really disappointing to see and hear as subway should really educate their employees on keeping things separate. Whether it be a religious reason or an intolerance or just choosing to be vegan/vegetarian. More measure should be put in place to educate their employees and to work on their customer service skills. The employee didn’t apologise and hesitated to rectify the situation. Whilst she did eventually make a new magherita sub for my wife, we will not be returning.

There was noone in the subway but me and the person behind the counter. I was judged on my order and she kept not wanting to add stuff in my sandwich. I ended up just eating mostly bread. I also ordered tuna she gave me chicken and bacon.

First thing when ive came in to the subway there isn’t pleasant service . And the 2nd one they do accept the cash but without keeping a enough change in till and saying to costumers that till has been closed but that isn’t my problem thats their issue to resolve to serve each and every costumer in equal way.While i was in subway Mr.Kamal and the other guy working.Ive told my order and trying to pay by cash for that order. But as i mentioned earlier they didnt accept to take cash which is fine even though their mistake but the guys whose in till was like when ive said cash he mentioned to otherguy to stop my order with out asking me to pay by card or not thats piss me off. Unfortunatly one of the worst experiemce I’ve faced so far.The location is next to cambridge station. 26/02/2024.I should have give 0 for service but there is no option for it. Hope manager will have a look into this kind of issues. Thank you..

Put bacon and sausage in my "veggie" breakfast sandwich. Only found out on the train when it was too late. My partners steak sandwich had so much mayo in it, it was inedible. £15 down the drain.

One of the worst Subways I’ve been to. Service is terrible and they recently installed screens while employees just sit in the back on their phones. When ordering, I asked for assistance as what I wanted wasn’t easy to order on the new screens. You have to customize your order from scratch. Was a lot easier when you could just tell someone how you want your sandwich in a timely manner. I don’t see this location lasting very long unfortunately.

unsettling atmosphere, very little human interaction, i’m assuming they don’t take cash either since i went up to the counter and was then ordered to go back to the kiosk, after ordering it took them about ten minutes to prepare one sandwich, which was not cut, before wrapping it up the man proceeded to shout at me from across the room asking if i wanted any sauce, he also forgot my cookie and i had to remind him to put it in the bag, wouldn’t go again unless i was literally starving, keeling over from hunger

Have tried this location a few times during my stay. They did well with my gluten free but the posted hours on Google and on the door don’t seem to be accurate. It says 9 pm on Sundays both online and on the window - arrived at 8:40 to get takeaway and the door was already locked with everything stacked and put away. Multiple other people walked up also trying to go but were turned away by workers.

This was the worst experience i have had with subway. The service was terrible, the staff were rude and lazy and spoke disrespectfully towards me and my friend. Thw worker was unaware of his surroundings and kept asking his colleague, who left mid conversation to smoke. My sub wasn't cut and the food was falling out of it, as he just threw it in the bag. There was a shortage of toppings and they gave my friend 3 pieces of sweetcorn. They were just rude. Terrible service and bad food. This is the second time this has happened. I will not be going back.

It was bad! I went there and ordered my food they didn't give me a receipt. Then I told the lady my order and she said my order didn't exist when it did she was slow and taking her time she kept on walking around doing nothing I also told her I had a train to catch but she didn't listen. Then I told her my order again and she just ignored saying it didn't exist meanwhile I had received a notification on my phone saying I had paid so I don't know what she was saying also when my friends got their food it was really cold. Overall the service there was really bad

Horrible experience, the lady working was extremely slow and was content on talking her time knowing there was multiple people to serve, most of which were trying to catch a train. Instead of serving paying customers she was too busy arguing with people who have ordered and payed for their food and even went to the extent of denying them of the food they have obviously payed for. The lady working served me a cold sandwich despite asking for it to be toasted with no sauce just ham, cheese and pepperoni. I payed payed £9.29 for a something that doesn’t even qualify as a meal and horrible customer service, not to mention I didn’t even receive my crisp packet. In conclusion I would rather starve than come to this subway again and I suggest you do the same.

AVOID AT RUSH HOURS unless you want to wait for 25-35 minutes for a cold wrap. I had to ask for three times to be noticed, otherwise they just keep doing online orders. The speed of making food was like they were doing this for the first time in their lives. Apparently the staff haven’t improved at all and don’t read the comments.

This place is absolutely awful. I’m not even sure how it is still open. It’s gone from ordering normally like in any other subway to not communicating with the staff in any way and ordering on a self serve machine. The staff are so rude anyway. The sub I ordered wasn’t even toasted either and it was such a rip off. There was no lids out for the cups and they didn’t care to sort it out. They also don’t open up the seating area because they can’t be bothered to clean it very clearly as the floor is so dirty. It’s disgraceful and I will be reporting this place. The staff shouted in the busy store I can’t eat in there and has to leave immediately. Another time when I came here the staff were taking purposely long and even slammed the hot drink on the counter and the food. Always closed too as they can’t be bothered to do the job. Scum

Wish I'd read the reviews before going inside. I get that it's a "fast" food chain (and I use deeply sarcastic air quotes) but the atmosphere is depressing. Three self-service kiosks replace any human interaction, but given the attitudes of staff that wasn't a bad thing. Full sized decals cover the screen in front of the food, giving no sense of how fresh the ingredients may or may not be, and also offering cover for staff to idle mindlessly. 25 minutes to prepare two sandwiches is well below the expected service level, and not being fluent in the staff's preferred language wasn't a problem until one guy made direct eye contact while sneering. Maybe I was unlucky and just caught his eye while he was telling his mate about a past trauma, but it made me feel really uncomfortable. After the full 30 minutes between being forced to order at the kiosk and my order being ready, my sandwich was slapped on the counter as the "sandwich artist" turned his back without a word. I know I declined the option to have my sandwich toasted, but apparently this didn't count and the overcooked, over stacked, brittle abomination fell apart in my hands. Always a treat. I'll avoid this place in future and try to find a classic store where staff take your order personally and prepare it in front of you. Pretty sure that's what Subway had in mind when they set the standards of service many years ago.

The food did not seem fresh (lettuce dry and pale, cucumber dry, tomato dry etc) meant to open at 6am, tried the doors at 6:10am, instead could hear loud music and see someone doing something in the background, he turned around and saw me waiting at the door, but left me outside for an extra 20 minutes. Seems like if they're going to make it this hard to give them my money I'll spend it elsewhere.

DONT TRUST THE STAFF. I came in here today and the worker was trying to tell me I can’t use all and snatched my phone from me then tried overcharging me. I have serious concerns over the hygiene and safety of the food he cooked to me. I think I have food poisoning now I was in there at 9.30 pm today he was the only one in there and he said if I don’t tip £10 he will spit in my food. He’s a foul member to the team. He made me get a foot long when I wanted this six foot as he said “he didn’t want to waste bread” manager remove him he is not a good staff member and I have reported to the higher powers

I’ve visited this subway a couple of times and been disappointed by this specific location every time. The staff are visibly inexperienced and unsure of what to do, and this also means they are often rude and abrupt with customers. When ordering a sub the most recent time I went, I was told I could not have any extra toppings(olives, for example) other than those written on the menu, and the staff member also would not put any sauce on the sub. This is the only location i’ve been informed of this rule! Hopefully they can improve on their customer service and staffing quality as the location really is very convenient being based right next to the railway station.

Very clean and all looks new. Service was very slow and we only had 15 minutes till our next train. They could only manage one sandwich at I time, even when he was waiting for the item to be toasted. He made my girlfriend’s first then mine. I don’t like a lot of the salad stuff, so only asked for onions, peppers and lots of olives. He put 5 bits of olives on, so I asked for more, he said that’s the allowed amount. I said but I don’t want any of the other salad stuff. He was not having it so I just said, fine will just have the one for my girlfriend. He now had a maid sandwich he could not sell. Don’t let yourself be fobbed off, let them lose out and go elsewhere

Would only let me choose 2 salad items for a standard sub (pre-set series menu sub) and said it’s only with build your own that you can have whatever salad you like, even though this has never been the case at any Subway I’ve visited. So disappointed, we came in after smelling the bread from a distance, have fond memories of subway, this was shockingly bad, I had the Philly cheese and it was so so so bland, no taste to any of it, the bread was soft and nothingy, ended up throwing it away as I didn't want to risk food poisoning for no reward at all. Wife ordered meatless Philly, not a vegan, luckily as the server made her a meatball sub, couldn't be bothered arguing so accepted it, meatballs were TERRIBLE, how can a meatball in sauce be bone dry, they were obvs from yesterday's service, this was at 9am so you expect fresh. Will never return to a subway again!

Convenient and right by the station and is the food from subway that you would expect. Although when I visited it was quiet and the turn around time was quick, all of the tables were very messy. Wouldn't return in a hurry but is certainly convenient if you want a sandwich by the station, however there are alternative options inside and outside the station.

I visited not long after this location opened. Went in with fairly low expectations, but left very disappointed anyway. Having seen so much buzz around the vegan options like the TLC and steak, I really wanted to try one of them but when I visited there were none of the vegan specials or even veggie patties available. I was left with an overpriced salad sandwich and no protein. The staff were not attentive or helpful. The location is convenient and it was clean enough, but still had a cold feeling. Would not return in a hurry. Hoping that they will improve in the future.

Don't order delivery unless you want to wait 30+ mins. Staff will not do your order until no customers are in store. There were people who ordered their food, ate their food in store and left before staff STARTED preparing my delivery order. When given friendly advice on how other locations are running,and how they make delivery orders before in store customers,as delivery customers wait significantly longer than customers in store,i was just given excuses. This was also after hearing one staff tell his colleagues that they were going too slow. Bit rude and unprofessional to confront visitors when they verbally address their own problems in front of them

I ordered the chipotle pork tenderloin and wow ! I didn’t leave anything on the plate, so delicious. The service was a little slow but I think that’s because it was close to closing. My mom also ordered the crab cakes and said it was the best she’s ever had! Wonderful dinner experience. The buffet is also good and filled with staples. I wish there were less flies around but after that it’s wonderful.

Lost in the wilds of Cambridgeshire new science buildings is an excellent restaurant. We came for the second time with an inexpected group of 16 from the department of material sciences Tashi and her colleagues were run off their feet but never stopped smiling The food as requested arrived quickly. Hot asian and tasty at 50% of london prices. Good reasonable wine list. A find!

Grubby plastic marque. Drinks took ages to come out, cocktails were underwhelming, small menu (which is fine, but they didn't have everything on it). Starters came out but olives and nuts we ordered didn't come - eventually (when everyone had finished their starters), a grubby bowl of olives came out but they had no nuts! Wine was expensive for what it was. Mains dribbled out, rather than all coming together, rare steak wasn't rare, food wasn't particularly hot. Tiny risotto. We had pudding and a couple of us ordered what we were told was homemade Bailey's ice cream with a chocolate fondant - it turned out to be bay leaf ice cream, which didn't go particularly well! Had some more underwhelming and overpriced cocktails in the bar. Woke up this morning feeling hard done by and then read a text from one of our party asking if I thought we should complain. Really disappointing and certainly not what you'd expect from an upmarket central Cambridge hotel. Won't be heading back.
